Tons of reviews and pictures on here too The Riu chains are nice but having now stayed at both the Riu and Dreams I would say Dreams is a definite step up. Classier now that I think about it. Never stayed at the Melia Cabo Real, sorry. Best of luck planning!

WOW - wow WoW!!! Loving the photos! Nate did an amazing job. Your TTD ones are my favorite but I think that's because i'm bias and am obsessed with TTD shoot myself Congrats! I can't wait to go back to Las caletas! Oh and I also updated your thread title to include pics

Awesome review, better late than never I say Yes Del Sol is fabulous, rated top 10 wedding photographers of the year! Sorry to hear you were sick the day of your TTD. That wouldn't be fun but good for you being a trooper! Your photos are GORGEOUS!

First off, Congratulations! We stayed at the Beunaventura for our honeymoon week and I agree it's such a quaint little resort and you can't beat the location! The massages were HEAVENLY - we got 3 that week! LOL So glad to hear you enjoyed it as well Look at your bridal photos! Wow the location looks so tropical and green! Almost reminds me of Las caletas. Loving all your goodies and decorations, I'm sure your photographer had lots of fun with that!

That's awesome we actually know her name now because that is one piece of good info for all of our PV Riu brides. Looks like you had a wonderful time! Impressive! I made my own veil too but decided last minute to buy one.... mine wasn't as nice as yours! I really like the piece you made for the bachelorette too. You made it look so easy although i'm sure it's not. lol

Really most photographers can't compete with the local vendors but honestly I remember when i was trying to book for my 07' DW there were very few talented local photogs. Therefore I chose to fly in my own DW photographer and I'm very thankful I did so after seeing the resort's photographers work and being disappointed. Just like you said, do your homework and check it out. Check out their blogs, websites, google ads, yelp basically anything with their name on it. These are going to be some of your most treasured photos for years to come! i know there are some photographers still wishing to build their portfolio in the DW area and by all means would photograph for travel fees. But i will say in most cases you do get what you pay for when it comes to photography. Can't wait to see your photos from Diana - i'm sure they'll be wonderful!

Welcome to BDW! Pv is a wonderful place. I would check out perhaps Las Caletas as well as the Nuevo Vallarta area (outside PV). There are many options and as you get into Nuevo Vallarta the beaches get nicer as well. As for Las Caletas it is simply magical! Check out the LC thread if you haven't already

Oh I hope she's ok. That sucks to hear about the food We had our dinner at the brazilian and it was wonderful. I did feel a little rushed though to get out for the 2nd seating so maybe perhaps book it for the later dinner?

Yael your pups are gorgeous! You got some really good shots, impressive. That's how it starts ... as a hobby then the love for photography keeps growing and you get more and more lenses.... hehe then you become addicted. Kinda like bdw

I can't think of a better city to spend new years and what a bonus all your loved ones will be with you! Def a new years to remember. I would maybe just plan soemthing at the resort so everyone can relax and not have to travel far. Like the girls mentioned email the resort to see whats going on. If you do want to escape the resort I'm sure the malecon will be hopping. What about a group excursion to las caletas?
