  3. what gets me is like what are dresses going to be like in another 100 years? I could see pink short cocktail dresses or something insane like that.
  4. We got our rings recently. I have pics but they didn't turn out that well (diamonds keep getting blurry) so I included the pro pics too. I love his ring it's so him - celtic and all and it's tungsten carbonide which means it should be really strong and not scratch as easy.
  5. lucky girls! I'll be checkin to see the pics you tease!

That sounds scrumptious!!! Mmmmm
  7. I sure didn't, check out this link. There is a collection of old black and white photos (which I love) and it shows how the dress styles have changed throughout the years. http://www.bridalcolumbus.com/vintage.html "Up until the death of Queen Victoria in 1907, the traditional color for a wedding gown was often black, not white. Only the wealthiest could afford a white gown that they would probably never wear again. Of course, whenever you had your photo taken, the photographer would say "Don't smile. Look serious." You would have to hold the pose for as long as the camera lens was uncovered, which could vary from several seconds to half a minute. Notice how young the bride looks in the face, and then look at her hands. She must have worked very hard. The sleeves and hair style indicate that this picture was taken in the early to mid-1890's."

  20. Saw this recently on Cnn.com and wanted to share with my fellow BDWers Man arrives at wedding year early LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Teacher Dave Barclay flew thousands of miles across the Atlantic to Wales to attend his friend's wedding, only to discover he was a year early. Barclay, 34, was told about the wedding earlier in the year and assumed it was to take place in 2007. It was only when he had flown into Cardiff from Toronto, Canada, and rang the bridegroom seeking details of the venue that he discovered the wedding was in 2008. "I am a year early -- yeah, my mates are loving it, aren't they," he told BBC Radio Wales. The groom, Dave Best, had emailed his friend at the start of the year. "He just said July the 6th and I assumed it was this year because if you tell the guy July 6th, they're going to think it's this year," Barclay said. Barclay, who has been teaching in Toronto for three years spent £500 ($1,015) on his premature flight. "At least it's assured me a mention in the speech next year," he added.
