  1. Thanks! Honestly, she has been the best vendor I've worked with so far. Her name is Michelle and she is one of the owners (if not the owner) of Designs by Michelle. I'll try to paste the website address here: Designs by MK - handmade and full of special touches
  2. Thanks ladies! And um, yeah, I was using the little paperclip and not the little world icon....that was my problem.....duh!
  3. I think things are finally starting to come together. I found an awesome person (extremely friendly and very responsive) who does invitations and works w/ you to fit your budget (and mine is very limited)! Here's a sample of the ones that I'll be getting for our DW and our AHR. We just sent out STD magnets and letters for our DW, but we're going to send out STDs and formal invitations for our AHR. For our DW, I'm just ordering a Welcome Letter and the program and for our AHR, I'm getting the invitiations, escort cards, table cards, and thank you notes. Mexico AHR Stuff
  4. Is anyone having a problem posting from Photobucket? I keep getting an invalid file message every time i try to upload an IMG code from Photobucket.....please help.....

Is there a company or a place where you can buy locks for your suitcases? I know that some luggage comes with the the lock, but was wondering if you could buy small locks for your luggage - any suggestions? We just bought a bunch of locks from Radio Shack - they're running a special for them for $3.99/each and they're TSA approved (meaning that TSA has a universal key for all of them - you just use your own code). They will make great stocking stuffers for our guests going to our wedding!
  6. Has anyone ever had or is anyone planning on having their legal ceremony in the Annapolis, Maryland courthouse? I'm just wondering how that's going to go and what the chapel in the courthouse is like. We're just going to have our parents come up for it and then go to dinner afterwards, but we're going to consider our real marriage date when we get married in Mexico.
  7. Bre - did you develop the spreadsheet or did Lomas? Would you mind sharing it w/ us so we know what we still need to do? (And please feel free to not include prices or anything else you would like to keep confidential).
  8. Darn - I wish I had read this post earlier. Monica sent me the updated contract just on Friday and I just signed it (even though I am also planning on bringing an outside photographer). Bre - You did a GREAT job handling the situtation!!
  9. For those of you who are making Shutterfly Calendars as Christmas presents, they're offering 20% off until January 3! I just ordered mine today and the code works! 20% OFF calendars & photo books online coupon code: 33AF-CLBK expires: 1/3/2008
  10. Thanks so much! I didn't know about any of this, so I just let Lomas Travel know that I've been working w/ a TA....
  11. This site had exactly what I was looking for b/c we're going to be sending out separate invites to an AHR a month after our wedding!
  12. Wow! What awesome photos and your wife is gorgeous!! You make a very nice looking couple! I can't believe that I missed the fact that you had your wedding already! For some reason, I thought it was later....aaagghh!! Anyway, we can't wait to see Elizabeth's pictures, too. You are very lucky to have two such incredible photographers! Congrats on your wedding - hope married life is treating you well!
  13. That dress is absolutely beautiful and you look like you were made to wear it! So, so, so perfect for a DW, too! I love it!!

  16. We'll try this again....I think I found instructions on how to load photos.... http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...e72/Sample.jpg Did that work?
  17. I feel like mine are so boring compared to all of yours! I just picked out some colors a few weeks ago b/c we had to meet w/ the florist who's doing our AHR and now someone who will be doing my invitations also asked about the colors. Anyway, ours will be purple (preferably a dark shade, but maybe with some lighter shades mixed in) and ivory. Here's a sample of the flowers that the florist did for us to show the colors. Ummm.....I tried to upload the photo, but I don't know how to....
  18. Welcome, Welcome! If you want to have a wedding in April or May 2008, you will need to start planning pretty quickly. I just found out that I'm on the later side for getting save the dates out to our AHR in May! Yikes! For 100 guests, Costa Rica, might be a bit too pricey for your budget. I had looked into doing a Costa Rica wedding, but it was on the expensive side for us and our guests. You might want to consider Mexico and then maybe doing a honeymoon in Costa Rica. :-) Good Luck and we'll help any way we can!
  19. Oops - I forgot to mention that we will be having a private reception for dancing and the cake after the dinner at Gaviotas.
  20. This is a super idea! Thanks! Welcome Reception: Mexican Cocktail Party (I think at Tucanes) Wedding Date: April 23, 2008 Wedding Location: Chapel Reception: El Cocotal ("Free" Reception) # of Guests: 35-40 Photographer: Claudia Rodriguez

  22. I'm definitely wearing my dress at my AHR. We're having a full blown reception at a hotel close to my former hometown.
  23. Girls have used a variety of fantastic photographers which all range in price. I am using Claudia Rodriguez and so far, I love her! I've heard wonderful things about her work, as well, and she is definitely very reasonably priced.
