  1. If you have photoshop... here is a good tutorial with pics. To make a transparent background in Photoshop 5
  2. Thanks all of you. It was most definitely a beautiful location!

  4. Thanks - they were such a fun couple! That is one great thing about destination weddings - the couples are usually sooo laid back and happy! I'll let you all know when the show airs.
  5. Thanks y'all. It was a beautiful place indeed! Tami - I owe you a HUGE apology. To make a long story short - I still have your BD book and was about to go email you. Long story - but I will get it out in the morning - promise!
  6. Hi, I just got back a week ago from photographing a wedding at Raffles Resort on Canouan Island. It was absolutely beautiful there, and I would definitely suggest looking into it if you are interested. Don't be immediately frightened by the room rates that you see online - they provide a generous rate discount for weddings. The customer service that Raffles provides is impeccable. The place is also so relaxing and has such an intimate feel. Did I mention that every room comes with a golf cart? The resort isn't all inclusive, but they do pamper you with lots of "freebies" like Raffles flip flops in the room, free sodas and waters, etc. I have lots of photos on my blog - and I have more photos of the bride and groom on the way. I will also have a slideshow posted within the next few days. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Canouan Island or Raffles. I'm happy to answer questions - even if you don't need photography. Canouan Island as we approached from the plane... The ring shot... The bride's was so happy and excited. I love this shot of her walking by her dress with such a huge smile. Isn't this the sweetest chapel? We only had maybe 5-10 minutes total to get pics of the bride and groom together b/c a storm was approaching QUICKLY. Alex was my hero! haha He totally caught Synda by surprise and threw her in the water. She was a great sport. I know the middle shot is as blurry as it can be - but I love it. I think it shows the element of surprise. Although Synda originally had no plans to "trash" her dress - they plopped down in the sand for a few quick photos. And then the rains came storming down. We had to run to a cabana to save our cameras.
  7. Hey - the starfish was her "something borrowed" so I will see if she can find out where it came from. But I think it came from someone who had had it for a while. I love the ones you found - especially the swarovski one!
  8. I don't know about myphotopipe, but I highly recommend mpix.com for great quality and low prices.
  9. Hey, I am photographing a wedding at Caneel Bay in January. I don't have any photos, but the bride has already been down there. So...if you have any specific questions - let me know and I could give you her email address. I'm sure she would be glad to answer questions for you. Jill
  10. Yeah - the price really isn't bad for six, but who needs 6? It would be nice if they would sell just one or two. Heidi - WOW - you are so talented!!
  11. I had to share these luggage tags I saw on ebay - so cute! Be sure to scroll down to see all of them. WEDDING FAVORS HONEYMOON BRIDAL TRAVEL LUGGAGE TAGS - (item 140143209667 end time Aug-05-07 22:32:05 PDT)
  12. I love you girls - you have awesome ideas!!! Natalie - that is funny - but I think I need one called money dropper instead of panty dropper! hahaha Heidi - Come on down! Blue lagoon sounds good and would be pretty. Rachelle - thanks for that link - I'll check it out. Janet - yum on the chocolate martini. I think tea is a great idea for those wanting non alcoholic - especially in the setting I will be in. Angela - that does sound gross - but I'll have to try it! Do you think it would work with regular lemonade instead of pink (just thinking of color)? ooohhh...I tasted a mojito a few weeks ago and it was soo good. colored ice would be really cool. I will have to remember that for entertaining at home. I doubt I could pull off making that man colored ice cubes though for the party. I'm expecting between 150-200 people. Paula - I love the name and the recipe sounds good.
  13. I just moved, so I am having a launch party at the end of this month. The party will be in a friend's antique store and I will have a four person band playing vintage instruments (acoustical). My colors are tan, brown, white, and aqua blue. I'm also planning to have a candy bar for favors. It should be lots of fun. I have hired a caterer to do the appetizers and I am planning to have cocktails too. Rather than having a bar, I would like to have a signature drink. Any ideas on what to serve? I don't really care for liquor drinks so I have no idea. I am expecting a lot of people so I need to make something that is affordable. I would like something either neutral colored or blue.
  14. Leigh - you are too funny! Yes - Tami was certainly easy!! ha Seriously, Tami was lots of fun and her friend's house was fabulous! Stephanie - I am moving to south GA next week, but here is a link to a calendar of events... South Carolina SC - Calendar of Events, Festivals - August 2007 If you have any questions about anything around here - let me know. I'm especially good with places to eat - because I luuuuuv going out to eat! ha
  15. If you really love the idea of having one - I would definitely go with it! I have definitely seen brides look beautiful both with and without out! As far as worrying about it being too much for a destination wedding - just think how pretty it could look blowing around in your photos!
  16. When I photographed Lenita's wedding at Moon Palace - they had really cheap maracas in the gift shop. I couldn't believe how cheap everything was in there b/c usually resort gift shops are so high. If you are making a trip down before the wedding - maybe you can pick some up. Of course...I don't know where your wedding is! lol
  17. Tami came into town Saturday and we did a session for Tom. Here are a few of the photos. Also, I made a slideshow for her b/c it was a little hard for her friends here to log into pictage and see all of the pictures. It was hard to choose favorites because she was so awesome - but you can see about 43 of the photos on the slideshow. Slideshow - Tami Tami was great. We also made an album that she will give Tom when her wedding rolls around ... if she can wait! Album - Tami
  18. Y'all are so sweet to offer a vegetarian option for you friends! I'm a vegetarian and pasta always works well.
  19. Awww....thanks so much Tami!! I had a blast with you, and you were so much fun to photograph!
  20. Sounds great either way! Sorrry...that is no help, huh? But that is like choosing between ice cream and cake! lol
  21. Here is the Moon Palace slideshow... Lenita & Andre
