  1. Hi Glenda - Sorry, I didn't know there were other threads covering this. I did see the one about Leigh's session and that is what prompted me to post this. I definitely would never pressure anyone to do it. I was just curious as to what percentage of people as a whole would be interested. I guess what I mean is, I wouldn't want people to think I was weird for offering that service! What do you think would be the best way to let others know that you offer this service? In a general information packet that is sent out to those that inquire about wedding packages - maybe listed with all the other pricing for other types of sessions?
  2. I'm curious to know how many people would be interested in a "For His Eyes Only" session if it were offered by your photographer. These sessions seem to be becoming more and more popular. I haven't offered them to my clients yet, and I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I don't want to offend anyone or make anyone uncomfortable if they are not cool with it. I would love to hear your opinions...
  3. Oh girl - you are going to be a photographer's dream! We beg girls to trash a dress! In fact, I am getting together with some friends on the 9th of February and we're going to trash some dresses in Savannah. I'll have to post pics - should be LOTS of fun!
  4. One quick question. What does all inclusive include in terms of destination weddings? Do you mean everything on is available on site, like ceremony area, food, etc. Or do you mean everything is included in one package price, like ceremony site, officiant, food, flowers, photography, etc?
  5. The perfect, lucky wedding date!!
  6. Oh yeah, one more idea. You could buy a coffee table book of the place where you are getting married (if you can find one) and have people sign and write messages on those pages. I recently saw a nice Atlanta coffee table book being used for that at a reception in .... Atlanta ... obviously. ha
  7. I like the polaroid book - it looks really nice. I saw that at a recent wedding. Another idea if you don't have a polaroid is to upload photos of the two of you to mypublisher.com and get one of their books. They are $29 I believe. People could sign those pages and write messages to you with sharpies.
  8. If the property is pretty enough for your ceremony, maybe you could do some pics before or after your wedding somewhere else. Doing a "day after" session is really popular. It's a really fun thing to do. Plus, you don't have people waiting on you (at the reception) so you have lots of time and you can have fun in your dress without worrying about getting it dirty.
  9. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her dresses. My favorite dress of this season was by her. It was actually a short dress. The bride had a wedding in Virginia, but I shot a 2nd reception in Atlanta. So...I guess she wanted something shorter since the wedding had already taken place. Anyway - it was so gorgeous! You can't go wrong with her stuff I guess!
  10. I photographed a fun wedding for two in Belize at Victoria House. It was soooo much fun. I met the two of them the day before their wedding and did a really casual, fun shoot to get to know them since I would be sharing such a special day with them. They had such a relaxed, great time together. The went on a snorkeling trip before their wedding, came back, changed clothes, and got married. Talk about relaxing and stress free! This is their slideshow if you want to see it and get a feel for what they did: Lannhi & Daniel
  11. They have them on ebay...for $15! eBay: 7 INCH PEARLIZED WHITE CHAMBERED NAUTILUS SHELLS (A) (item 140077711726 end time Jan-29-07 08:45:54 PST)
  12. Y'all are so sweet - thanks for the warm welcome. I've just been finding my way around and haven't had a chance to check out everyone's pics yet, but I can't wait! I have a question - probably a really dumb one (ha) but what is an AI? Janet - yes Charleston is so awesome! That is so cool that your parents have a house here.
  13. Hey, I really like St. Ives Apricot scrub - I keep it in my shower and use it every day. I know it stinks and you don't want it there at all, but if it helps - it probably won't show up on your photos. Most photographers clear that right up for you before you ever see it! Thank goodness for digital!
  14. I think sand ceremonies are so cute! I photographed Mandy Moore's wedding, and you can see their sand ceremony on this slideshow... Lindsay & Zach I'm TOTALLY KIDDING - but the bride did look like Mandy Moore! lol
  15. Wow! What an awesome proposal! It sounds like you have a SWEETIE!
  16. Hi! That would definitely be a plus! I'm so excited to have found this place - I love to hear destination wedding stories!
  17. Hi, I'm a wedding photographer and interested in shooting more destination weddings. I have been hired to shoot a few weddings in Belize (which I LOVE!) but I would like to travel to other places as well. A couple of Belize wedding slideshows; Rosy & Todd Lannhi & Daniel I thought it would be fun to check out this forum and hear all about great destination weddings and locations.
