Amy, I wouldn't worry about. Nayley the new wedding planner will work with you. We had a two-tier cake on our contract...I asked for chocolate moouse and tres leche with choc. covered strawberries and she did it. No questions asked. She is new and welling to work with you but stand your ground and show her the email Marco sent you. I had some other things that she said I couldn't do but then I showed her the emails that Marco sent and she did as I asked. Come prepared to stand your ground with her. Email her the emails Marco sent you. I did that. Sorry I haven't been helping so much...been really busy since our wedding...I have had two finger surgeries...be careful dancing on your wedding day or you'll end up like me.

Hey Mayan Brides, Just an FYI...Ruben wasn't returning my emails so I called the manager and complained so now a new guy named Edgar is going to be finishing up my wedding details. He is so much more professional and he has gotten back to me within the day whenever I email him. I am so excited to have another professional Wedding planner...Ruben made me really nervous. I feel like now my wedding is going to be just the way I want it...I can't wait to meet Edgar in only one more month. I can't believe I am getting married in a month. Hey...question...what type of flowers are you getting the mother of the bride and grandmas...corsages or pinned boutineers What are you supposed to get them Amy R.

Hey everyone again, I only have one more month until the wedding and I still have so many questions. I am putting a schedule together for my quests and I wanted to know of some restaurants and tours that my guest and myself shouldn't miss. I am looking for restaurants with good views and good food Also...if you know of any tours or restaurants that we should avoid...you can share too. I am planning two different dinner places for friends to meet up with us if they want after the wedding events. We are also trying to figure out 2 tours to do with the family if they want to with us. Any ideas of restaurants or tours that you can't wait to do again Stressed bride to be, Amy

So if I am having buffet style...I should ask them before the event if they want a meal Also...if I am having open bar...I don't have to offer them that right What about the hotel wedding planner...I do I have to offer them a meal...won't they get one free from the hotel Amy R.

Hello Mayan Brides, I have taken a huge break from planning but now I only have 3 months until my Mayan Wedding. Goodness I am so bummed about Marco and now Erika...goodness so much has happened. Luckily the only thing I still need to do with the hotel is pick out the menu...luckily Marco did everything before he left...I just hope the new planner follows through...if not I guess it will be a memorable wedding Good luck you all with Pricilla...i have mixed feelings about her since her nasty email she sent me a couple months ago...but I am sure she will do an excellent job for you all. Hey..are any of you writing your own vows I am in the process of trying to write mines...have you found any good books or website?? We decided a while ago to have one of our friends marry us...so now I have to write the entire ceremony...what was I thinking. I was done with everything for the wedding and now this. Hey Girls, Amy I think you got everything covered...you don't need a planner...I plan on delegating all my important tasks on the day of my wedding to my family and friends that I trust will do what I want them to do. That is how most people here in the states do weddings...they delegate. But if it makes you feel better...then get a wedding planner...you don't want to stress on the day of your wedding. I have already told my friends what I expect them to do at my wedding. Amy R.

I got to let you know that Priscilla is all about keeping her job which I totally understand. Everything is all about making money. I got the nastiest email from her on another website because I told everyone that I didn't want to hire a wedding planner because I felt I could do it on my own...plus my budget isn't as big. I understand why others have planners. She wrote the most unprofessional email I have ever heard...I don't know how she got my email and why she felt to write it. Beware...don't believe everything you hear. Sorry...I am still a little upset that she sent me that email because I felt like this forum and the other forum I was on was for brides only and NOT VENDORS. amy

The credit card was a Citi Mastercard. I am glad to hear that others so far hasn't had the problem...maybe it is just my stupid credit card. Amy R.

I have a question. I charged some money to Mexico on my credit card and I was charged an extra couple hundred dollars from my credit card company to convert it from dollars to pesos. My credit card company charges me extra 3 or 4% for purchases made in other countries. Has anyone else experienced this problem with using their credit card in Mexico. I called and complained to my credit card company and they refunded me the money but I am worried about my guests using credit cards in Mexico now. I wanted to warn them if it has happened to any of you....or is it just my stupid credit card. Amy R.
