  1. OOOh I like Chienta - pink!!! I also never noticed (until today) that at the bottom of each post the little green light shows whether that person is online or offline!!! Cool! Lindsay
  2. Hi there, my DH and I are both doing WW - he is doing it "at home", I attend meetings each week. Are you doing ww online or going to meetings?
  3. I did comment on the other post - but your pics are beautiful - congrats again! You got married at Las Caletas 1 year and 2 days after we did!!!! It's so exciting to be seeing some more photos from LC weddings - feels like it's been forever since we've seen some! Lindsay
  4. BEAUTIFUL!!! Congratulations - everything looked just perfect!! You looked beautiful. Isn't Las Caletas amazing??!! Lindsay
  5. We had several older guests (my grandpa, who has had a hip replacement, and can be unsteady at times), as well as my mom - who is waiting for a hip replacement, and Ed's mom - who is waiting for a knee replacement...and everyone was ok. They just took their time getting over to the beach area where the wedding is held - no problems at all! There are railings and places for them to stop and take breaks if need be all along the walkways. Lindsay
  6. Roberto was AWESOME to work with - we had so much fun with him - he really loves what he does, and is great! Let me know if you have any questions about him - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone! Lindsay
  7. Holy - I'm so late on this one - WELCOME!!! I was married at LC on February 14th last year - (6 more sleeps 'til our 1 year anniversary!!) I have been to PV 6 times in the past 5 years, and I've been to LC 4 or 5 times as well. As soon as I found out they did weddings there, I knew we just HAD to get married there! It was the best decision we could have ever made! The WC's are AMAZING, and it is so beautiful there! Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to convince your FH on PV/LC!!!!! Lindsay
  8. Our guests used the travel mugs the most - everyone had them all day and all night - and we could have sold them to other guests that were staying at the hotel! Everyone also used the beach bags (I got cheapies from Dollarama), kleenex packages, currency converter quick reference card that I made up, candies (tropical skittles, tic tacs), playing cards, and those long lanyard things (I think that's what they are called..) to put their room keys on... Lindsay
  9. He's a guy that is hard to buy for!!! He's not really into any sports (football, hockey, etc...), he likes tech-ie stuff, gadgets, computers, xbox, etc; he likes to build things - so I could get him a tool of some sort - but how romantic is a tool?? LOL Hmmmm....still thinking - I better hurry though - I've only got 2 weeks!!!! Lindsay
  10. Thanks guys - you are awesome!! I like the photo album idea! (and the beer!) Maybe I'll put the photo album in the beer case! hehe!
  11. Hi everyone!! I need some ideas for a relatively inexpensive (but still thoughtful) first anniversary gift for my hubby!!! Does anyone have any suggestions I can't seem to think of anything to get or to make! Lindsay
  12. I think ours worked out to be around $10,000 for everything, fire dancers, extra flowers, photography etc etc etc. for 35 people. Lindsay
  13. We used our site visit two days before the wedding...didn't need to use it, but I'll use any excuse to go out to LC!!!!!! Plus, it was handy to give all of our 'stuff' to Nicole beforehand! Lindsay Lindsay
  14. I do what LadyP does - mix the turkey with a package of Lipton Onion soup mix - a few crackers and a tablespoon of water - form into patties - and VOILA! Burgers! They are SO good - and no additional seasonings/sauces needed! Lindsay

  16. No I didn't - my aunt is a retired hairdress - so we had her come out to LC with us in the morning and she did my hair for me (I guess that is kind of professionally done?) As for my makeup - I just went to the Clinique counter and had them do makeup on me that would work for the wedding, show me how to do it myself, then I bought all the makeup and practised a few times before the wedding - it worked well! Your wedding is coming up so quickly - you must be SO excited!!! Lindsay
  17. Natalie; You are right - we were married mid February, and we had enough daylight to have our photos taken (it was close, but we made it!) So by April you will have plenty of time!
  18. We used a small bottle that had a cork - which worked great - except we used two different colors of sand, which we wanted to symbolize bride/groom etc. - however, we left too much room at the top and some of the colors got mixed up in the bottle - it still looks ok, but not as pretty as it did at the wedding! Lindsay
  19. I had the tropical flowers for my floral package - I wanted something very tropical/exotic and unique - not just the plain old flowers we can get here!! Lindsay
  20. My husband wore white cotton/linen pants, and our GM wore shorts - I think it looked fine (mind you, our BM dresses weren't overly "dressy" either).... I will see if I can find a pic to post... Lindsay
  21. Welcome! Feel free to ask lots of questions - there are tons of us LC brides, past and present that are willing to answer anything that comes our way!!! Lindsay
  22. That's a tough one if you are really set on December 29th...I believe the earliest time you can start your ceremony (during the week when they are running the day tours) is at 5:30 - so it could be tough! Can you change your date to the 28th? I think Sunday weddings can start earlier - because they don't have the tours on Sundays....just something you might want to check into, if the 28th is available. Lindsay
  23. How hard Nicole (and Kelly now too) worked to make our day special - just for us. Nicole really made us feel as if it was the only wedding they had there (at least I felt that way). It was so hard to imagine that they had a wedding the very next day - and would be doing the exact same things for that couple, and the many couples to follow. They really made us feel like we were the absolute, most important, and only ones there. Sorry, I'm not explaining this very well, but they just make you feel so special! There are so many other moments - but that was probably one thing that really sticks - it was OUR beach and OUR private cove for that day/night. Very cool feeling. Lindsay (I will think of more as well - can't believe I missed this thread until now!)
