  2. Welcome to the forum!!!
  3. We used turquoise as our main color, and had a ton of bright colors with it - fuscia, lime, orange, yellow, purple - anything will go! (if you like bright colors!) My fav combo is turquoise and lime - my bathroom is in these colors! Lindsay
  4. I don't think so - you could always ask Nicole/Kelly if you can cancel the DJ and see if you can just do the Ipod thing...see what they say. You are still 6 months away - you're entitled to change your mind!!! Lindsay
  5. It was our cruise director from the boat that played the songs from our Ipod for the dance - he sort of took over, played some of our music and some of his music, and did the announcements for the dance/fire dancers/etc. We didn't hire a DJ either - we ended up giving him an extra tip at the end of the night b/c he did an awesome job - and we hadn't paid for a DJ... Lindsay
  6. Might just be our office - but yep, we all have little trinket type things...I have an eiffel tower, the girl beside me has a koala bear from Australia and a camel from Egypt, another one has a sand dollar (from somewhere and a couple of other little treasures.. It may just be my office - I don't know for sure - but I'd do it anyway!! I'm sure she'd love a little trinket from Mexico! (maybe just keep it small) Lindsay
  7. I can't speak for other TA's - but I haven't gotten any trinkets from any of my clients - and I am looking for some cool little things for the corner of my desk!! I do have a mini eiffel tower that my bro and SIL brought me back from Paris - but that's it!! THe other agents in my office have a bunch of different neat little things on their desks from all over the world! (I really wasn't much help there was I??) LOL I say go for it! - or the other option is to give her a favor from your wedding (if you are doing them) - we also gave our TA one of the personalized chocolate bars we had made up for our favors at the wedding. Lindsay
  8. Ann, you are SO NOT a dork at all! I am dreaming of the same thing one day... In fact, on our honeymoon week Eddie and I went to LC on the Rhythms of the Night tour and we walked over to the beach where our wedding was - it was our 2 week anniversary and our last night in PV and I was all sappy and crying and we said every time we are in PV in the future we HAVE to go to LC and stand on "our beach" and remember! 'SIGH... On a less sappy note - I think we are planning our next trip to PV for next February/March - anyone interested in coming along? Lindsay

Maybe I can include that too. Does that sound good? A referal, thank you card and a word document about my hotel/ the area? Oh, and a wedding picture. I've become friends with my TA while planning so I feel like she is part of the wedding. She might even come. Then she gets an OOT bag. That sounds PERFECT!!! Lindsay
  10. This is going to sound funny coming from a TA - but our wedding was before I became a TA - and I had a bouquet of flowers delivered to my TA's office the day we left for our wedding trip - she loved them, but said it was totally unnecessary. She did so much for us though - we wanted to express our gratitude. Now, as a TA I wouldn't expect anything from my clients. The best thing you could give me is a review of your wedding/resort - and show me a few photos when you get home!!! Lindsay

I remember trying to manouver in the little girls room with candles all around in my dress - trying not to catch on fire!!! It was a 'lil squishy!!! Lindsay
  12. In general, I find that resorts in Puerto Vallarta are coming in less expensive than those in Cancun/Mayan Riviera. I have had clients stay at the Royal Decameron Complex in Nuevo Vallarta and they love it there - it is beautiful and I have seen some weddings done there as well - they are beautiful! Feel free to PM me for more info! Lindsay
  13. 'sigh..I will never, EVER get tired of seeing photos and reading reviews of Las Caletas. It is Heaven on earth (to me at least!) Lindsay
  14. Congratulations MarlaB - can't wait to hear all about it (and see pics) when you get back!!!! I hope your day will be everything you've been dreaming of - and MORE!!! Lindsay
  15. I sent you a pm - but my computer froze - hopefully you got it!! I'd be more than happy to help you with your wedding plans! Lindsay
  16. Thanks for the warm welcome ladies!!! I am SO excited to be able to help out BDW and give back toward the board that I got so much help from when getting ready for my wedding. As some of you may know, I was married at Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta last February 14th (2007). I joined the forum in January '07 - just before our wedding. Who knew a year and a half later I'd still be hanging around and helping out BDW!?! Please let me know if you have any questions, or if there is anything I can help you out with (Canadian brides in particular, but I will help everyone I can!) I look forward to working with you all! Lindsay
  17. YAY Rachel...about now you'll be getting ready to leave on the morning boat to Las Caletas!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I hope today is everything you've been dreaming of and more!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get home!!!! Lindsay
  18. Congratulations Rachel!!! Everything looks great!!! Can't wait to hear all about your wedding when you get back - for now, sit back, relax and enjoy!! Say hi to Nicole for me!!! Lindsay
  19. Yep - I was like that before the wedding, and - and I still am!!! - every time I hear any of the songs that were played at our wedding I turn into a bawling baby - the songs just bring back all of the memories of our perfect day! Lindsay
  20. By looking at the photos, I think we had the same boat as Ann - and we only had 33 people altogether (including the 7 that went over earlier in the day) - so you may have the same boat too! Lindsay
  21. Rachel, here is a link to Vallarta Adventures' fleet of boats... Vallarta Adventures' Fleet of Catamarans to Las Caletas I believe our catamaran was Vallarta Adventures II - and I have been on VA IV as well - they are all pretty similar - i think most of the weddings use II. Not sure if this helps or not - but thought I'd post it anyway! I know I have a photo of the boats at home on my 'puter! Lindsay
  22. I second Roberto Aceves! He was awesome to work with - we had so much fun!
  23. I HIGHLY recommend one of the sailing tours with Vallarta Adventures - we did it last year on our honeymoon week and it was just AWESOME!!!
  24. Thank you!!! I'm so excited - I want to look into these now!!! I love my cricut!!!
  25. Sorry if I missed it, but where can you get the software to be able to "weld" the letters together? Is this for the regular Cricut or for the new Expressions machine? Lindsay
