Thanks Nicole! I'm getting soooooo excited, and the pics don't help!!! I hardly get any work done at work now, and I have SO much to do!! Thanks again - you are the best WC ever!!!!! Lindsay

Yeah, I don't think we'll rent a car - it would be way too scary and stressful driving there! Do you know the names of the companies that rent vans to pick people up? I wonder if I can arrange that before we go...? There are 7 of us, so we will definitely require a van, and that would be absolutely perfect for us! We are staying at the Decameron Los Cocos in Rincon de Guayabitos, 1 hr north of Puerto Vallarta. This will be my 6th trip to PV, but first time staying outside of the city! Lindsay

Those look great! I've always wondered what I would use those big clear labels for!!! I might have to make some for our welcome dinner! Lindsay -
Our planning is going great, we don't have too much left to do... The biggest thing that we haven't done yet is decide on the ceremony. The lady who will be performing the ceremony hasn't contacted us yet, but Nicole gave me her email and said if I wanted to contact her first I probably could to get the ball rolling...I think I will do that. Everything is coming together. We've decided that my bridesmaids and I and my mom, my dad and my aunt (who is doing my hair) (7 of us in total) will be going to Caletas the morning of the wedding to relax and get ready. I am still trying to figure out a way that we can get from our hotel, which is 45 mins away from Nuevo Vallarta, to the marina in Nuevo Vallarta by 8:00am the morning of...it's been a bit of a challenge...my next step is to contact our tour operator and see if they are able to help me figure something else out. I am a bit of an organizational freak and I want to have all of this set up and ready to go before we leave so we don't have to stress about it once we arrive. I think we are going for our site inspection on the Monday the 12th - then we're going to spend the evening in PV - I'm really looking forward to that. I've almost got everything together for my OOT bags, and the favours and program fans are all finished and ready to go! I am going to take pics of everything as I pack it and hopefully I will be able to post them before I leave...(if I can figure out how to post pics! I haven't quite figured it out yet!) Whew, sorry for the long post, there is probably so much more, but there's a bit of an update for now! I guess I'd better get back to work and quit my weddingdreaming!!! Lindsay

Hi Ali, Thank you SOOO much, that was very helpful!!! I have a much better idea of what to do now! That sounds like fun doing tequila shots and dancing at the front of the boat - though I don't know if FH will like that very much - he's not really into dancing much! LOL Sounds like a blast! I'm so excited!!! I can hardly stand it!!!! Lindsay

Ali, If you don't mind my asking - we were having a discussion about tipping Nicole on one of the other threads...would you mind telling us what you did? Did you give her an extra tip on top of the tips that were already included? Did you bring a gift or anything down for her?? I can't remember which thread we were discussing this on, but if you wouldn't mind sharing, that would be great! Thanks! Lindsay

haha - too funny Ann! I feel the same way - I haven't seen any photos of weddings done at Caletas, other than the Vallarta Adventures website, and the one other link from this message board - so it is very exciting! Lindsay

Wow, Ali! Your pics look amazing!!!!, I can't wait to see the rest once you've got them up on your site... We are not having anything extra (ie: the Bamboo chuppa) so I'm curious to know what the decorations will look like as well...if anyone knows and could let us know, that would be great!!!! Thanks again for posting a few teaser pics! Looking forward to seeing more when you've got time!!!! Lindsay

What do you want to know from us Married Gals?
TA Lindsay replied to NATASHA's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Thanks so much! Our package says it includes tips, but I think I will tip our WC extra, she has, after all, been doing a ton of stuff for us it's definitely the least we could do! Thanks again, Lindsay -
No, we didn't get any of the liquor upgrades...they have pretty much everything we need/want, so we didn't bother. The rum punch didn't cost anything extra - she just made a mention of it to make sure that they had it for us! I like the guacamole idea too - might have to add that... Off the top of my head for the menu, I think they have grilled chicken breast, steak, fish, mushroom alfredo and lots of salads. I think the cocktail hour food includes caviar, shrimp....can't remember the rest! Dessert was fresh fruit, flan, rice pudding and wedding cake I believe... I will double check when I find my contract at home! Lindsay

Those are so neat! I love them!!!! Thanks for sharing! Lindsay

TA Lindsay replied to NATASHA's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I have a question! Did you end up tipping or giving a gift to your WC after the wedding? I am trying to think of something thoughtful to bring for her - but I can't seem to think of anything....should we just give her a tip - and if so, how much? Lindsay -
Hi Marisa; I dont' have any pictures of the actual buffet, but it is the same menu they have on the Rhythms of the Night tour - which we went on in February 2005, and it was very good. There is lots to choose from and something for everyone! I'm not sure if they print up menu cards or not - hmm another thing to think about! I may end up printing up a menu card to have at each table - just with the different options....I'm going to add that to my list! Lindsay

Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone!

Welcome! I just found this forum the other day as well, and already it has been an excellent source of information! It's so exciting to see so many other PV brides! Lindsay

We are just using the photographer that Vallarta Adventures uses, we figured that they do the weddings there all the time, they should know what they are doing! I'm hoping the photos our guests will take will turn out good as well. Our photo package comes with 25 prints and 100 negatives on CD - it is the smallest package, but we are also doing a video, so we will have that as well!

I didn't even know we had the option to head over to Caletas early!!! - I'm going to have to check with Nicole on that one to see if that would be an option for me!! It would be great if I could do that and then have my aunt do my hair when we arrive! So many things to think about isn't there!? I am doing my own makeup as well! Marisa - 5 days until you leave, how exciting!!!! Lindsay
