I was just now actually looking at these exact same invites.. weird?! I wanted to DIY my invites and was going to copy the flower, but my mom made a point that there hibiscus flowers typically found in Hawaii, so she said they don't fit in Mexico. But, they are really pretty and I doubt anyone will notice.... except if you have someone like my mom. I voted for the palm trees just because they were more colorful and beachy. Both are really pretty.

Resource for Men's Ties
Adamsgrrl replied to amyh's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Try here: Silk Ties - Silk Neckties - Silk Neck Ties - Men's Silk Neckties - Silk Neckwear - Discount Neckties - Cufflinks For Mens Ties I believe I heard of them in a Wall Street Journal article talking about the new affordable silk tie company. I haven't gotten anything from here yet but planning on it for FI. The ties are like the ones you get in Italy, in the street markets, all silk, and copies of very expensive designs only cheaper. Last year when I went I spent $10 per tie!! and my FI thought I bought them at Gucci (yea right!!). -

Yes, what does your dress look like? My first instict is to say they don't look fancy enough but then again I haven't seen your dress. If your looking for some heels to give you some additional height, I bought mine from: Nina Shoes at SoleStruck.com I got the glascow ones because they were the highest 4 3/4" -

Amanda, I like the dress but, I would be concerened about not getting what I want especially from a online vendor that seems like no one's heard of.... I'm sure its totally fine but its something to consider. If your worried about the fabric, then gowns made in China usually don't use the "Top Top" fabrics.. and what they advertise as silk usually is a synthetic silk mix or not even silk at all. so you really need to know what your buying. What are you looking for exactly? If your worried about cost and want to keep it in the 200 - 300 range, I suggest going on ebay or buying a "destination" type looking dress from Nordstrom: Wedding Shop - Wedding Dresses - Nordstrom.com Or if you wanted to spend more money have you considered just copying one that you like and having a seamstress make it for you so you can get the fit right without having to spend money altering it? Don't worry, you have plenty of time to find "the one." My wedding is in less than 6 months and I still haven't started the process of designing mine with my seamstress... once you know what you want, she can make it as fast as in a week. So relax, don't feel like you have to jump into your decision now... wait until you really know what you want. Good Luck! Monika

Edit: on second thought just a cool palm tree/sky pics, or a beach picture would be great too! Tara, Use the "Bridge" function in Illustrator or Photoshop, It will be in the upper right hand corner in the gray area. It looks like a folder with a shell on it. you have over 10,000 photo images to choose from. Just type in the search bar "Tropical" or "palm tree", etc. and you will find a ton of pics!!

Jamaica based Photographers
Adamsgrrl replied to KellyandMatt08's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
How about Glen Johnson. He's pricy but, maybe you can work something out with him. Maybe he'll be in Jamacia shooting another wedding during the sametime so you can cutt down on the travel costs, or maybe you can get someone else from this forum who's getting married within the same timeframe to split the travel costs.
