  1. It seems like it would be fairly typical. That is a popular time of year for that part of the country. Maybe somehow you guys can get a good deal on a flight to help bring the cost down??
  2. Here's Lenita's review...they did all her wedding flowers. There's a link to the site about halfway down the page. :-) http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t3708
  3. Check out this knottie's page...TONS of great candle ideas. There are a couple pics that are similar to what I was trying to describe. The Knot Message Boards
  4. I really think those palm centerpieces are great! I love them. But if you are looking for something smaller or just different, then I totally think Janet's ideas are great too. I especially love when people take those glass hurricane candle holders, fill the bottoms with something (fruit, stones etc. . .I LOVE the idea of coral!) and then float a couple candles on top. I think that would be beautiful. And I'm a candle girl so I'm a little biased I guess! :-)
  5. Yay!! More wedding pics! Lol! You looked absolutely gorgeous Tammy!!! I LOVE your dress!! And yeah, that sign that Cain is standing by is great! :-)
  6. Wow! Stephanie. . .you're amazing!! Everything you chose, made and planned looks spectacular! Kudos to you!! I'm extremely impressed!! It's fun to see how much you've accomplished...but also I think this will be a great inspiration for brides who are just beginning all their planning. Thanks for sharing!! ;-)
  7. Lol! yeah, I'll probably pass that one along to a few people. . .and I do have a hair appt coming up, so that may just come in handy w/ David! Lol! :-)
  8. Yeah, I'm super late on this too! But wow....Tammy you look gorgeous and happy and everything just looks beautiful!! Yay for Cabo! ;-) I'm glad things went well for you guys. You are such a CUTE couple!! Congratulations!!!!!! and yeah, I'll be on pins and needles waiting for your pics too!! Lol!
  9. OMG!!!! YAY for you Jaime!!!! I am SO excited and happy for you!!! I can't wait to hear all about it! Now you're a !!!!! Lol!
  10. I love the Jolie as well! Gorgeous! And if you love it...then you should get it! Don't over-think the whole thing. Choose what makes you feel happy and beautiful. And yes, it is totally possible to find "the dress" that fast! Just like Ashleigh, I found mine the first day I went shopping and it was the first one I tried on! Go with your gut! :-) Also, I think the BM dresses you picked are cute...and yeah, probably anything with an a-line or empire cut is going to be most forgiving to pretty much any body type. A sheath might be a challange for a girl who's just had a baby...hell, a sheath is a challange for me!! Watters has TONS of great BM dresses. Also there's a site you can order them from that is SO much cheaper than in the stores. I ordered my MOH dress for my friends wedding from there and it was almost $100 cheaper than in the store...even w/ shipping. It takes longer but to me it was worth it. Definitely check it out for your girls, see if they carry the style you want. House of Brides
  11. Everything looked absolutely gorgeous Jessica! Your dress was amazing and I can't believe you got such an amazing deal!! What a beautiful wedding! And yeah. . .I'm a sap like everyone else... the pic of you and your dad had me almost in tears! Lol!
  12. Quote: I have to have all white hangers in my closet. No wire hangers and no colored hangers. If I get my clothes from the cleaners....I have to switch to white hangers before they get hung up. My clothes all have to face the same way, jeans together, black slacks, t's and so on. Oh and James CAN NOT do laundry!! He purposely put my clothes on the hanger wrong just because he thinks it's funny to watch me re-do everything. And he can't fold towels because they have to be folded a certain way and he just doesn't get it. In my pantry, all the labels have to face forward and be lined up perfectly and boxes have to face the same way. OMG! Freaky. I'm am pretty much the exact same about all that stuff! Lol! I think it's called OCD. Lol! The color of the hangers isn't AS important to me...although I strongly prefer white. But everything in my closet is organized not only by item (pants, jeans, shirts, skirts etc.) but also by color. . .and even worse, they all go from light to dark from the left to right. Like pinks on the left up to deeper reds on the right, from whites to creams and ivorys etc. Confusing, but it's how I like it! So yeah, David isn't really allowed to do laundry either...I'm way too picky. And I'm a freak about the towel folding thing too. That really irks me for some reason if they're not folded the "right" way. It makes David crazy! And the same about the pantry and the fridge too. Everything has a place. And it's funny because I feel really, truly shocked when David puts something on the wrong shelf. Like, why would you put chips on the cereal shelf?!! It's pretty goofy. . . LoL!
  13. omg! Wow....I thought it was a super cute dress (and very TTD appropriate) but the price makes it even more impossible to pass up! It's hard to find a shirt for that price! Lol!
  14. YAY!!! I'm so excited for you!!! Congrats on making that big decision! You're going to have gorgeous pics and I'm sure you and Leigh will get along fabulously! :-)
  15. Yeah, I'm kind of on the same page as Maria. She really may not feel a sense of urgency about some of this because the wedding is still a little way off. Definitely talk to her about it and see what her thoughts are. Yes, BM dresses are important - but you can order those 6-7 months out and still have plenty of time. So don't rush/put pressure on yourself. Take it one task at a time. Also, just another thought. I'm not sure what items were on the "to-do" list that you gave her. But you'll want to be thoughtful about what you delegate and to whom. If you're asking for her opinions on things (STD's, dresses, photog options etc.) then I think it would be nice of her to respond in a timely manner. But if it's stuff like you're asking her to make calls for you, speak to vendors etc. then she might be a little overwhelmed and/or intimidated. Just something to keep in mind when you're asking for help w/ various tasks during all the planning. She should be there to help, but you don't want to accidentally put too much on her plate. Def. have a heart-to-heart with her like the girls said see what up before you "fire" her. And keep us posted!! :-)
  16. Beautiful!!! You guys look amazing and happy! Congratulations! Serious hijack: Jilly....those puppies are absolutely edible!!! I just want to sunggle them to bits!!!! SORRY Jen!!!!
  17. I agree...if it's going to be a pain to transport then neither you or your BM/GM should have to worry about that. But I think traditionally the gifts are given at either the bridesmaids luncheon (uber traditional) or at the rehearsal dinner. That's when I did mine. The RD is usually smallish and festive...a great time to hand out gifts to attendants, parents etc.
  18. Yay! I'm glad you got that sorted out! I agree with the other girls - good advice ladies! And even MORE off the subject. . .you're getting married on my b-day! SO I think that's fantastic and a VERY good day for a wedding! Lol! Congrats...have fun planning!!
  19. YAY!!! Happy Wedding Day to you!!! I am SO excited for you! I can't wait to hear about everything. . .I just imagine you chillin', finally destressing from all the planning and craziness, enjoying a drink by the pool with your man. . .and I'm so happy for you! Enjoy every minute! Ooh!! ANd I can't wait to see pics of you in your dress!!! I LOVE your dress! :-)
  20. I agree with all of that! ;-) Call the airlines for sure...it never hurts to ask them and see what the regulations are. And definitely keep them in whatever original/official looking package you have. I imagine a bunch of herbs in a ziploc wouldn't go over terribly well in an airport! Lol!!
