  1. That dress is beautiful!!! I love it!! The beading detail is so pretty and I LOVE the texture of the fabric!! And with those Ed Hardy shoes. . .sublime! LoL! Yay for you!!!
  2. I say get it! If you love it...then definitely don't wait around too long. Also, you may check and see if the store can do a rush order for you, how much that would be etc. That might buy you a little time if you REALLY want to get a 2nd opinion. I would just say to try and order it asap! You need to allow time for alterations too...sometimes those can take a couple weeks to complete. ..just depending on what needs to be done of course. I think it's gorgeous by the way!!! I LOVE the lace! And I'm sure it will look amazing on the beach! :-)
  3. What a great story!! That's so cute that he worked so hard planning all that! What a sweetie! Congratulations!!!
  4. Yay!!!! Finally!! Lol! That's a great story!! Just so happy and real and cute! Congrats!! I'm SO happy for you guys! So did you spend the rest of your trip staring at your ring and realizing that you really are getting married?!?! I was glad that David and I got engaged while we were out of town...it gave us time to be irritatingly happy and sappy and all that good stuff! :-) So happy for you!!!!! And yeah, show us the pics!!
  5. Ooh! I love it! That's so pretty and really does look great w/ your e-ring! Did you tell him what you wanted or did he pick it out? I'm glad to hear that he likes his book...you must be so pleased/proud of yourself! He'll probably spend the next 5 years smiling and picking out a new favorite! LoL! I bet he absolutely LOVES it! :-)
  6. ok, you're hilarious!! I couldn't believe it when I read that you had bought your shoes! Your wedding is a year away! Lol! SO CUTE!!! I barely bought mine in time for my fittings! Lol! Yeah, they're a little crazy. . .but they're cute. And if you love them...then it's a great find! One of my friends wore bright red patent go-go boots under her dress. So fun!!!
  7. I agree...I would just have it shipped directly to them. Personally, I'd try to have it there around the time of their first ceremony just so it doesn't seem like an after thought. But if she prefers to take it in person, then definitely the smaller event. . .if only for the fact that at the larger event there will likely be a LOT more gifts that need to be transported so why add to that if you can give it to her earlier? You know?
  8. Awww! That's fun and cute that he's so into it! yeah, definitely keep it somewhere else so he's not tempted to sneak a peek!
  9. "bell type dress". . .That's cute! Did he make that up or is that your saying? I like it! :-)
  10. So uhhh...just in case you were wondering, we don't think he should see it! LoL! Honestly though, stick to your guns and tell him "no!" :-) David was curious about my dress, but he said that he really had fun with the whole surprise of it all. He preferred not to see it in advance. Not that I would have let him anyway. . . haha!
  11. Quote: lol, well let him make fun of you! You're like the best MOH ever... how many brides can say that their MOH's work day in and day out on a forum researching endlessly to make their weddings better?! lol I know it's hard work... you're a good MOH! haha I think the term you're looking for is "obsessive" Lol! yeah...sorry!!!
  12. Yeah, but how awesome and BDW loyal to take the time out in freakin' Cabo to tell us about it!! Lol! I LOVE how we're all so addicted! Heck, only like 3 people got calls from me when I got engaged...and I was only in San Antonio! LoL!
  13. Perfect! That IS a great wedding date then! I'm glad they chose the right one! lol! Actually, David and I like it too 'cause the 23rd is our "engagement anniversary". . .so it's just a couple of fun, romantic days in a row! I believe Monica actually signed up on the forum...but I don't remember her ever posting a newbie post or anything...she's just WAY too distracted. And of course I've made a lazy bride out of her by just feeding her info that I find! haha! She, of course, thinks it's great. Her FI totally laughs at me about it. I'll say something and he's like, "let me guess...you found this on the forum?!" It's pretty funny. :-)
  14. The wedding is at Dreams PV on Sept 22nd. Yeah, I'm pretty sure she'll let me post pics. I know I posted her wedding dress on here a while back . ..she's really cool about all that. And believe it or not, she thinks the forum is awesome but just can't seem to find time to log on and check it out. (I spend a lot of work time on here...and she really can't get away w/ that.) So yeah, she's prepared to let me do a reveiw and all that good stuff. :-)
  15. Quote: Thanks Rachelle!! Those will come in handy for sure! P.S. ... you'd better post that MOH dress pic at your first opportunity, you don't want to make us brides cranky now, do you?! lol Lol! I know, I know!! I actually tried desparately to take a pic last night (literally, opened the box, put on the dress and got the camera out!!) but they all turned out awful...you really couldn't see the whole dress! I promise I'll have Monica take one tonight!
  16. Well, I didn't purchase my wedding dress on line. But I purchased my MOH dress for Monica's wedding from House of Brides - in fact I just posted a thread w/ some discount codes for them. Anyway, the dress is a WToo dress (by Watters) and it arrived on time ( a little earlier than I expected actually) and in perfect condition. I'd totally order from them again. In fact if I'm ever in any more weddings that's the first place I'll check to see if they have the dress I need. I saved about $80 ordering through them instead of the store here in Dallas. yeah, It takes a little longer than ordering through a bridal store (mine took just a smidge over 2 months). . .but if you're not in a rush I'd say it's worth checking out. Although they do have rush service too if you need it. Good luck!!! :-)
  17. Ok, Monica looked at your slideshow and LOVED it!! She thought your wedding was gorgeous and really liked how you guys used the shells for your rings and sand. Where did you find the shells? I we'd like to "steal" that idea from you! Lol!
  18. those pics are amazing!!! Congrats to you!! You looked absolutely beautiful and it seems like you guys had a blast with your guests! btw...I LOVE how you guys did your rings and the sand in the shells...really pretty and such a nice touch I thought. I'm going to suggest it to Monica as an idea for her upcoming wedding. Thanks!! :-)
  19. Woohoo! Yay for you Kash!! Hope you have a great flight and really just ENJOY your time in Mexico! Tammy's right, make sure to take little moments throughout the day and just soak in all the fun of being a bride and marrying your man!
  20. So, I got my MOH dress from House of Brides ( House of Brides ) in the mail yesterday!! VERY exciting - it's a really cute dress! (don't worry picture lovers...I'm going to try it on for Monica today and have her take a pic. ;-) Anyway, I thought this was a great site - it saved me about $80 on this dress so I'm pretty much sold on it! They have TONS of designers on there for wedding dresses, BM dresses, accessories etc. And they sent me a bunch of coupon/discount codes with my order. So help yourselves ladies! 10% off Wedding Dress: T322 $10.00 off Bridal Headpiece: T326 5% off Flower Girl Dress: T328 5% off Bridesmaid Dress: T324 $25.00 off Dresses for Mothers: T342 15% off Bridal Shoes: T344 $5.00 off Bridal Gown Preservation: T352
  21. Honestly I think you're doing great. Don't stress about it. I really can't imagine you finding anything that nice for less...esp since Mexico is gorgeous that time of year! People will work it out. . .and they'll have a blast once they're there! :-)
  22. Lol! That's really funny! I keep thinking "what if Tammy really was just wearing a shirt that said 'Ride' on it?! Cain would have a hayday with that!" I like it though...cute and bridey! :-)
