  1. Quote: count me out, but I only had 15, I am 9 days away, too close for me...thanks for looking into it Maria Total hijack. OMG!!! Only 9 days!!! That's sooooooo soon! Yay for you Christine!!! Ok, I'm done. Sorry!
  2. Awww..Jaime! You're a mess!!! lol! David joked about wrapping me in bubble wrap for a month before our wedding - otherwise we figured it was inevitable that I'd end up with some enormous burn, bruise or some other ugly injury in all our wedding pics! Graceful is NOT a word I'd use to describe myself! lol! Poor girl! Rest up and get that foot better!!
  3. Lol! Too funny! Glad it's so close to your work...that will be convienient if you end up getting your dress/alterations there.
  4. Oh yeah...and Jaime. . .remember to march your little self straight to Lulu's when you start looking! I LOVED that store!!
  5. Kash gave lots of good advice. . .definitely take that to heart. I would just agree and say to be aware of your budget. DO not EVER try on anything that is totally over your budget. So you find a dress that you love...and it's 8k. . .just too much heartache and distress there. Don't put yourself in that situation. Be openminded. Have an idea of what you like, then allow the store staff to make some selections for you...they're usually pretty good at what they do. Make appointments. A lot of bridal boutiques stay pretty busy (esp on weekends) so make an appointment in advance...then you'll avoid the irritation of waiting around for someone to help you, waiting for a fitting room etc. No sense wasting your time doing all that waiting! :-) Have FUN!!! You're a bride...enjoy it!!
  6. Those are great! Everything looks beautiful! Your dress is gorgeous!! :-) Congrats!
  7. Those pics are gorgeous!! I bet you feel like a kid at Christmas finally getting them all in your hands! :-) One of my faves is the one where Edyta is hugging you...her in her bikini and you in your wedding dress. Too cute/funny!! How often do you see pics of brides w/ bikini-clad girls hugging them?! AND you both look so damn happy and cute! I love it!!
  8. Gorgeous Kash!! That dress is amazing on you! What a beautiful wedding! You guys look really happy! :-)
  9. Monica's is in Sept...I'll be posting a review then! Sorry...I'm no help quite yet! :-)
  10. Yeah, definitely try them all on again. You may find that you like the way one feels more than the others this time around. I see what you're saying about the "casual" thing. But you're right - get what you LOVE! And honestly, I don't think any of the dresses would look terribly out of place w/ a more casual BM dress. I really think you've chosen some great options and any will look beautiful for your wedding! Good luck!
  11. Sorry, I just got a chance to look at this! I LOVE the first one!!!!!! so i voted for that! ;-) It's just gorgeous and that bustle is beautiful! Love it, love it, love it! However, I also think the Watters dress is beautiful - that is definitely a close second for me. I'm dying to know what you decide!!! :-)
  12. I especially think it's a good idea if you're having an AHR. Also, people that cannot come to the wedding may still want to send you something. I think it's a good idea for that type of scenario. . .esp. if someone is planning to throw you a shower as well. I'm throwing Monica a shower w/ her mom and SIL. And all the ladies in her family are so excited about it, even though they're not going to Mexico for the ceremony - they'll be at the AHR and I think they would be lost w/out a registry to buy from! LoL! I say go for it! :-)
  13. Quote: bring your appetite- there are SO many great places to eat- we ate a place called Boudreax (its sorta fancy but reasonably priced) on the riverwalk and it was awesome Lol! That restaurant was going to be my first suggestion! I LOVE their food. The guacamole is the my favorite (and I'm pretty picky about my guac.) also their top shelf margarita is good - make sure you have some food with it for sure, it's a doozy! Boudros: A Texas Bistro on the Riverwalk I agree w/ Maria...try to find a hotel ON the riverwalk. 1. because it's fun! 2. because they're all pretty nice, nothing to funky to worry about. David and I got engaged in SA - so it holds a special place in our hearts! We stayed at La Mansion del Rio - very nice...not so much "cheap" unfortunately. But check it out on Expedia...and maybe give them a call, we got a better rate by calling then online. But anyway, there a lots of hotels on the riverwalk, you should be able to find something cute. The Watermark is gorgeous by the way! Not sure about their prices though. Also, if you're looking to splurge on dinner, Las Canarias - in the La Mansion hotel - has great food! Awesome wine list in my opinion (the only place I've found Jordan Chardonnay by the glass, ever. And it's a really good chard.) Las Canarias San Antonio Fine Dining at the Omni La Mansion del Rio Also, Landry's is pretty good for seafood and I really liked their bar upstairs. They have live music and it's just a cozy little bar. We had fun there. Dick's Last Resort is just goofy fun - but good for a snack and cold drink after wandering around the riverwalk in the sun. That's all I can think of at the moment...I'll let you know if anything else comes to mind. Have fun!!!
  14. It going to be beautiful and wonderful! Try your best to relax and enjoy. . .easier said than done, but definitely try. I have no doubt that it's going to be amazing and you're going to come back glowing and telling one great story after another! have fun!!!!
  15. Woohoo!! I can't believe it's TODAY!!! Congrats and Have fun!! Can't wait to see those pics! (hint hint Jonathan! Lol!)
  16. Yay! Happy Wedding Day!! Can't wait to hear all about it! And see those pics w/ all the gorgeous DIY projects finally put to use! ;-) Congrats! Have a blast!!!
  17. Wow! Lots of BDW brides today!! Congrats!!! Enjoy every minute!
  18. Those are great pics! That water looks amazing!!! Where was the wedding held? Congrats!
  19. Are you selling the purse also? I didn't see a price listed for that but it was included in the slide show. Just curious. ;-)
  20. Beautiful!!! I loved how your tables were set! SO pretty and romantic. Great pics!!
  21. I'd try Watters (Watters | Innovative Designer Gowns By Watters | Flash Intro ) they have SO many colors and style to choose from. Here are a couple that caught my eye. Look around the site...because their dresses are all available in lots of different colors. So if you find a style you like, check to see if it comes in a color you like as well. Btw..I think turquoise will look amazing!! What a great color! Watters & Watters | Bridesmaid Gown Collection | Style 7288 | Duchess satin knee-length dress with pleated satin ribbon at empire. Available in knee length, floor length or extra length. Watters & Watters | Bridesmaid Gown Collection | Style 5480 | Dupioni halter neckline knee length dress with sash and band at hem. Available in knee length, floor length or extra length. Wtoo | Bridesmaid Gown Collection | Style 193 | Voile spaghetti strap v-neck knee-length dress with shirred empire and streamers at back. Available in knee length, floor length or extra length.
  22. I LOVE these photos!!! Beautiful! What a gorgeous wedding!! Ann, you and Paul are the most adorable couple! And yeah, just like everyone else, my first thought was about all the cute, blue-eyed babies you guys are going to have! Lol! Congrats!!
  23. That's a cute idea! Especially since they're all couples you can easily do something fun like that. I like it! For my girls (and my flowergirls) I got them all really cute cards and wrote them a note/asked them to be in the wedding. It was fun and they all seemed to like the cards.
  24. David insisted that we play "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" by The Gap Band at our reception...it was great! I STILL think of our wedding every time I hear that song! Otherwise: "Here I Go Again" - Whitesnake "Take On Me" - A-ha "Don't Stop Believing" - Journey (really anything by Journey!) "I Ran" - Flock of Seagulls "You Shook Me All Night Long" - AC/DC (This was the ending song at our reception...EVERYone was on the floor shakin' it!) "Livin' on a Prayer", "You Give Love a Bad Name" - Bon Jovi (again...pretty much anything Bon Jovi is fun!) The Clash has some good songs. . . "Time After Time" - Cyndi Lauper David Bowie!!! "Let's Dance", "Golden Years" and "Fame" are some of my faves "In Your Eyes" or "Sledgehammer" - Peter Gabriel Queen!!!! Anything by Queen! "Wake Me Up Before You Go-go" - Wham! (This one always makes me think of Zoolander now!) "Bust a Move" - Young MC (Lol! C'mon...it's pretty entertaining?! ) I love 80's music!
