  1. Yay!!! that's awesome!!!! I can't even imagine how excited you are!
  2. I do think it's really pretty...and I would say my deciding factor would be how many invites per sheet? As much as I LOVE nice paper and such...I could not bring myself to pay $6+ per invite for my wedding. I'd rather spend that $$ on other stuff. You know?
  3. That book is great! Really pretty and I'm sure she's going to love showing it off! :-)
  4. omg! lol! That is hilarious!!! I almost can't believe that's real! LOL!
  5. That's great! I'm so happy to hear that you had a good BD session!! Thanks for posting your encouragement. And it's also good to know there's another good BD photog out there for other girls in your area. Yay for you! You know you have to post at least one pic, right?! loL!
  6. that dress is gorgeous!!! SO excited for you that you found "the one"! :-) I LOVE Lazaro!!! Their dresses are so beautiful!! Great choice - it looks amazing on you!
  7. Awwww! That's so great that you guys met up and had such a good time!! Great pics - That Liam is quite a photographer. ;-) Thanks for sharing!!
  8. Ummmm....Wow. I can totally see why Leigh is a "giddy schoolgirl/psycho stalker" about your work. Lol! It's gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! There were several shots from both weddings you posted that I absolutely adored. Beautiful, really. Where the hell do you people get all this talent?!? lol! It's amazing!
  9. Dude...I'm so bitter. I ordered that cute pink nightie w/ the lace for Monica's bach party...it was on her VS wish list. And apparently stupid VS decided to move their warehouse location right when I was ordering - so three weeks later I'm STILL waiting on that damn thing and the party is tomorrow night!!! Arrgghhhhhh! I So wish you had decided to sell all your stuff last week! Lol!! omg... But yeah, anyway, lots of cute stuff there...and if that party wasn't tomorrow I'd be making an offer on the pink thing! lol!
  10. I agree...although it would have to be a pretty long song otherwise it's going to look more like a do-si-do than a proper dance! :-) Serisouly though...I think it's a really good idea. And I DO think you'll want to look for a longer song..or at least a longer arrangement of the one you like. I would say something at least 5, maybe even close 6 mins long if at all possible. Then you'll have to make sure the guys all know what part of the song they're supposed to cut in on. Hmmmm...that's sounding tricky now. Maybe a medly of two songs isn't a bad idea? See if you can find a medly arrangment of songs you like, or see if you dj can sort of blend them together for you...might make it easier for the dad's to know when to switch. whew!! Also, I 100% agree with having step-dad do the formal/traditional toast. Since he's basically hosting it, it seems fair. Then it can be up to you and your bio-dad if he wants to do an impromptu toast to you guys or whatever.
  11. oh honey...I think a LOT of girls second guess their dresses! I can think of at least 3 or 4 just from the forum who have wondered about theirs. Some ended up buying a different one, others stuck to what they had originally bought and were happy as well. The thing is that there are SOOOOOO many gorgeous dresses out there - it's almost impossible not to see another one you fall in love with. I think if you're having serious doubts (like you dont feel very pretty in it, you're not comfortable, don't feel like yourself etc.) then look around a little more....you can always sell the first one and buy something else. But if you're just seeing lots of beautiful dresses and you like them too...then it might not be worth the expense or trouble of buying/selling another one. Hope that helps!! And I agree...if you find one you love. Stop looking. Don't go shopping or searching "just to see"...you'll wear yourself out that way! ;-)
  12. Honestly, I don't know! :-) If those same people are all travelling for the wedding as well, then it might be a lot for them to do, you know? But if this is a different group of people who won't being doing the wedding related travelling, then they might not mind sneaking away for a couple days? IMO, I wouldn't want to ask too many people to travel 4 hours for a party. Did your parents say who they were wanting to have there? This is a tricky one! Good luck!
  13. Ooh! That looks so beautiful!! I LOVE those beds - makes me want to go crawl into one of them and never get out! :-) You guys are going to have a great time! Honeymoons are awesome!
  14. lol! It totally freaked me out when I logged on and saw a post by "Rachelle" that I didn't write! Lol!! Hi! My name is Rachelle too - Welcome! Happy planning to you!
  15. I don't feel like I have any proper hobbies...but I like: Reading Wine (my FIL has been into winemaking the last few years so I LOVE sampling what he's making, discussing it, coming up w/ new idea etc.) Entertaining - I love having people for dinner. We grill a LOT during the summer. Also we like to have parties, Halloween, New Years, 4th of July etc. Shopping Hanging out w/ my man! :-)
  16. I haven't heard from anyone who's played down there yet. But we're going in just a few weeks for my friend's wedding and are going to play the Vista Vallarta Nicklaus course while we're there. I'll make sure to post a review and try to take some good pics! And I'll keep my ears open for any info on El Tigre. I've heard good things and tripadvisor had a good review on it. I'll keep you posted! :-)
  17. that link is SUPER helpful! I printed out a page like that when addressing mine so I could refer to it if I blanked on anything! :-) As far as unmarried couples go...I believe it's acutally supposed to be in alphabetical order by their last names? Like Ms Jones and Mr Smith etc. Hope that helps!!
  18. I'm with you Tash...I'd plan a wedding every time! Just choosing the paint for the different rooms in our house stressed me out! And paint is a LOT easier to re-do than tile if you decide you don't like it. Weddings are hard....but I'd WAY rather do those! :-) good luck w/ your remodel!
  19. That sucks!! Oddly enough I had the most trouble w/ all my documents at work and w/ my insurance company. The credit card people didn't even make me fax anything! (I was REALLY surprised about that) They just asked a ton of questions and then sent out cards w/ my new name. But yeah...the whole process is a HUGE PITA! Seriously, it took me the better part of a year to get my insurance cards in my married name. I finally got that part sorted out about 2 weeks before our first anniversary! lol! I feel your pain!
  20. YAY!!!! Congratulations!!! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was too see this thread!! lol! What an amazing story!!! I LOVE that Leigh was there to capture it all! Ahhhhhh! I just feel so excited and happy! :-) happy engagement to you!
  21. #1 reminds me a lot of Jessalyn's dress...and I don't remember her saying she was too hot or anything? Honestly, I like them both. But I agree, If you're happy w/ the one you have then I wouldn't go through the process or buying and selling dresses if I didn't have to. :-)
  22. Ooh! I LOVE that site! Those wedding ideas are gorgeous! Thanks for posting it!
