  1. Akward...I guess it's flattering (in a weird never-had-a-daughter kind of way) but if you don't want to, you don't want to. I would just not call her mom and if she put me on the spot I would nicely say something like "aww come on, I like calling you "x"..." or "you're "x" to me, you know I love you". Then change the subject and keep it moving...haha
  2. What a coincidence, I just attended a wedding there 2 days ago! I'll do a review in the next few days just for you (and anyone else interested!). Beautiful place, but it will be HOT!!! Definitely try to arrange a canopy if they do that.
  3. BMs can suck when it comes to dresses! You paid for it too? Oh no! It won't matter in the end so let it go if you can...does anyone sew? Maybe someone can give her a quick hem job...or you can always ask her to sit this one out..haha Good luck and don't stress, you've been very calm so far so try to hang on to that cool....but I know it's hard

We had already been to LC but our wedding was at night and LC looks different during the day and it's a different trip so we wanted to hang there. The reason we invited the parents is that we wanted some alone time with them before all the guests got to PV. We figured once everyone arrived that our time would be divided, and it was. The day trip was a nice time to be together for some family time and chill before the big party started. But we are close with my parents and like hanging with them, if not they would have been a burden...lol Nothing was ruined for them, LC at night is a different experience and a wedding is different from a day at the beach! Either way you will enjoy the place )
  5. We don't live near my dad but when he is town or we are visting my parents they do hang out. It's a cool thing )
  6. Well I hate to say I told you so...but I knew it was Michael! Glad to see him back - finally. Walt must be shape-shifting around the island or something..lol And even DH was a little choked up at the death, didn't see that coming
  7. Very cool! I'm sure our guests would have appreciated something like that.
  8. We married in PV and honeymooned in Ocho Rios, JA. For us the travel was worth it to get out of Mexico and separate the wedding from the honeymoon. I don't know much about Dreams Cabo but there is a lot of info here about it. If you don't want to go too far you can always head up or down the coast. Costa Alegre and Manzanillo are south of PV and gorgeous places with great resorts. I think Manzanillo is about 4 hours by land (you could also fly). Even closer to PV are the resorts of Majahuitas and Verana which look spectacular and are very secluded so you'll feel far away: Majahuitas Beach Resort :: Puerto Vallarta :: Mexico Verana - Small Luxury Spa & Getaway in Yelapa, Mexico

  10. Yari that is so funny, I swear in L.A. the degrees of separation between average people and celebrities are pretty slim! It's pretty hard out here not to know someone who knows someone. I work with a girl who nannies for the dude from Best Damn Sports Show and her BFF is Madonna's nanny...oh the stories! My Tori story I think I shared before...we were kids and my cousin drove us to her house (the really big one) and we went to the intercom at one of the gates and asked if she was home. We got a fast reply to get off the grounds and that security has been notified...haha
  11. Kate's location sounds great! Also you can look into Cabo vacation rentals, you may be able to get a good deal on a condo for 2 nights )
  12. I saw the preview for that, it does look funny!

  15. I really liked the unfinished edge, I think it was mentioned on the website? I'm not sure but I don't remember being surprised by it. Their cardstock was thick but really soft (like cloth..don't know the lingo haha) compared to other samples I received.

I saw other invitations from white aisle that i loved and am thinking about ordering a sample. the one i like best is this one below (but we would order in navy and light blue or navy and green - i am showing you the navy and green combo below just to see the navy): Maura those were our invitations, only the resized them and made them in orange and brown to match our colors! I love love love White Aisle. They were pricey but we only sent them to guests who rsvp'd with a yes to the std, otherwise I would have tried a DIY too.

  19. I thought this was interesting reading for my fellow 90210 junkies. What a bizarre childhood! I actually may buy and read the rest of this......shhh, don't tell anyone ABC News: Tori Spelling Is Telling All in New Book

  21. I'm with the others. Do not give in or you will be setting yourselves up for a lifetime of catering to her. Do it your way with or without her and show her from the start that she has no power in your relationship. What a pain in the ass!
  22. We used Creative Montage, it was $15 for 5 designs a year ago, not sure if they've gone up. Also see here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t15845 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t12100 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t10077
