  2. Love White Aisle and they look great! P.S. I would also blur that personally identifying stuff out as Maura suggested. You can't be too careful.... Anyway LOVE them!!

  4. Wow that is really cute! Well done and out of the norm, which makes it even more cool! Great job and you can't beat the price!
  5. If this doesn't get them moving I don't know what will....lol One of my favorites - Celia Cruz, la vida es un carnaval YouTube - Celia Cruz - La Vida Es Un Carnaval
  6. That's fun and something my friends would enjoy...great idea!

I am so looking forward to this wedding out there. It will be something different that is for sure. We are a 8 Aug 08 date so the heat will be incredible. We have our ceremony at 10:00am so we are hoping it won't be so bad. I booked with Classic Vegas Weddings and they had told me about bringing a better shoe to walk in for the photos. They also had a monthy contest and I just won an etxra 20 photos with my package. I am also curious about what he train on the dress looked like after being in the dirt of the red rock I can't wait to see the other review on this place. You're welcome! Her train wasn't that dirty at all, just a little discoloration at the very bottom. She was careful and tied it up most of the time )per the photographer) so it would be clean for pictures. It will be hot when you're there but 10 am is a good time. Congrats on winning that contest and happy planning!
  8. Good for you! Isn't it nice not to do bathrooms?
  9. Damn Jenny, as crazy as that is I totally believe it. I'm willing to bet he hit them all! I remember being in junior high and it was a big deal to kiss a boy. Now kids that age are giving blow jobs instead of kisses. It must have happened back then too but not as a general rule. I hope that by the time I have an adolescent daughter there is a chastity fad going around!
  10. I didn't really want one, my bridal party and mom wanted to throw one, so they did and I'm glad they did because we had fun. Everyone invited was also invited to the wedding, and most of them did not go to the wedding, so it was a nice way to visit with them to celebrate the upcoming marriage in lieu of the Mexico trip. If it makes you itch to think about it, don't do it. If you aren't opposed and someone wants to throw you one, go with the flow. If you don't know what you want...figure it out fast
  11. Good stuff!! I took a Volcano study course in college that got me fascinated with them. Never seen one active in real life but I hear they are quite a treat! (well if you aren't in danger of course)

  13. I agree, great idea. Everyone is kicking butt with their signatures and it's nice to see the bright & festive colors everywhere. I just made mine at work because it was more fun than working
  14. Haha...thanks Kelly. I also have lots of free time at work and no kids to divide my attention...unless you count my little pooch! I'd love to read your review if ever you have the time )

The whole evening flew by and we just talked and laughed. Our conversations consisted of all sorts of stuff, from weddings to BDW to our lives. Don't worry to much, you will have a blast ! Yari is right! Maybe we Californians are extra cool (hehe) but there hasn't been any akwardness for me yet. It helps that I've always had DH with me so if the people sucked at least I had my man...lol But the people haven't sucked, we've been very lucky! My first meet-up was with Drea, Kashmira, & Amy (and our spouses/fiances) and we all had a blast chatting away & drinking wine. Meeting Yari was also like meeting an old friend and we definitely didn't limit it to wedding stuff. We had some good conversations! So yes, just be you and you'll have fun. Anyone interested in hanging out with the L.A. people check for Yari's thread about our next meet-up...we have a blast!

  17. Kate those stories are awesome, and you have 2 more souls looking out for you from another level! You should see how far he is able to go and petition your godfather for a vacation...hehe

  19. Tami that's cool, I guess it is pretty authentic then. I knew you would know, I thought about you when I was writing this....lol You're my Southern connection...haha
  20. Anthropologie has really cute sundresses too or you could go to Target and get 5 cute ones for the price of 1 at Anthropologie...lol

And Grandma Lynn was a riot! She reminded me a little bit of my spit-fire Grama Doing what she wants and not caring if it's exactly the way it "should" be done. Totally! The first read I was thinking "that bitch!" lol but who knows how we would react and what others factors come into play. One person shuts down, one needs solace and can't get it from the shut-down person, it's just an awful situation!
  22. I wore lots of skirts/dresses just because I knew it would be hot and sticky. I also packed a lot of sleeveless/strapless shirts to avoid the pre-wedding tan lines. I slipped up and wore a regular tank top to town the day before and just from walking in and out of stores I had slight lines on my shoulders, so beware of that!
  23. I thought it was a good read. The subject is morbid and depressing, but it is engaging enough & full of twists to see it through to the end. I read it awhile ago then again for this, and I looked at the marriage thing differently this time for some reason. I can't say I would have run out on my family, but I can imagine the level of stress the murder of your child can put on a marriage. And yes, I loved grandma too!
