  1. I used to be VERY into the show back in the days. To give you an idea of how long ago, it when it was Bo and Hope were together the first time, then she was kidnapped and held at Maison Blanche, etc. I watched it for about 5 years after that. Loved it then, just stopped watching because I didn't like some of the new characters. Maybe I'll get back into it now.
  2. Fabulous! We'd love to see the pics. Glad you had a great time )
  3. haha...my dog does that too, so funny!
  4. I don't think it's in poor taste. Unless you know they are more on the materialistic side...but I would think they will appreciate your heartfelt words alone )
  5. Maybe google back excercises that can help get it looking like you want. Have you ever tried fade cream? Palmer's makes one that's good for evening out skin tone. I know people who have used it with success. Welcome to Palmer's Whatever you do, you have plenty of time )
  6. I bet it's not as bad as you think, but what about it don't you like? Do you have bumps/acne, or is it something major? If it's acne-like Neutrogena makes a clear body wash that may help, it helped with the chicken skin (bumps) on my upper arms...lol Not sure you could get it in Japan, maybe online though.
  7. That is a great deal and how convenient! Dreams PV is ridiculous, DH paid something like $60 for a mani/pedi for me. And it wasn't all that....tip for future brides that Dreams PV spa is kind of weak.

Hope this helps! I agree with that! If you can't find a videographer in your budget at least try to bring a video camera and enlist a guest or tripod to help. It's better than no video at all and you'll appreciate having moving memories to look at down the line, it does go by fast! We had a videographer that was relatively inexpensive...I want to say around $500 or so? Also a few guests took their own videos so we made out well and they picked up things the pro didn't since he couldn't be in 3 places at once )
  9. Good question...I've been there during the day a few times and it was really bright, but I wasn't a bride so hopefully one will chime in!
  10. Another Caletas bride headed for paradise! I'm so excited for you, enjoy it girl, it will be more than you could have dreamed )
  11. Okay don't be mad but I'm taking Everton's side...kind of. Men have egos just like the sky is blue, that's hard to get around. I don't know all the details but just from what you've shared I think he feels really really bad. He's been working his butt off, sick, and probably scared about his health and what is making him ill. Then on top of that another man, a friend at that, is going to come into his home and take care of his family business since Everton obviously can't add that to the plate right now. I bet he wants to do it, but can't, and it has to make him feel like a little bit of a failure, you know? I know his daughter should come first and he should just suck it up and let someone else give him the help that he needs, but maybe he wants to take care of his daughter himself...you know? I'm going through something similar with a friend who is dying and she will not let people do things for her because she is so stubborn and wants to believe she can do them herself when she has the time and health...it is so frustrating so I feel your pain. Can you just let him have this one for now? Or maybe set a time frame to appease everyone, like maybe a month, painting 15 minutes at a time? I just think Everton feels awful already (why do you think he is unusually upset?) and taking this from him won't help. Sorry if I offended and maybe I'm wrong, but men have feelings too and this isn't any easy time for him either...good luck )

The limeaids are really good. I also like the cream-slush, which is a slush mixed with ice cream. The best thing about Sonic is that they are always changing their desert menu. They make a sonic blast, which is like a flurry or a blizzard. I hope they come back around with the cookie dough again. FI is cool..LOL The cream slush sounds gooooood Quote: Originally Posted by lambert13 Ok..... So.....WTF is sweet tea? Someone please enlighten this NY boy. Is it just sweetened iced tea? 14. Good to see you and I can't believe your wedding is around the corner! How exciting!!

I am eternally jealous of you gals who have Sonic. They play the commercials here but there are very few. I've been wanting the cherry limeade forever from watching commercials, but you aren't the first real person to recommend it too. Drink one for me! 17. No! From the title I was thinking you were sharing an article you found about someone else's wedding disaster, I didn't imagine it was yours....damn it!!! How unfortunate for everyone affected. You have a great attitude about it, now let's get you a new venue asap! For your guests with the non-refundable airfares, what island are they flying in to? We're all really good at this so between everyone we've got you covered. Seriously, I have far too much free time and would be more than happy to do some research and make some inquiries for you if you have an idea of what type of replacement you are looking for. I'll email you, but for now hang in there sweetie and I am so sorry for the undue stress...hugs!

I think as we get older, and married, the stakes are higher and outlooks change. Young love is more carefree and there is a certain innocence that allows you to see past the "real" issues and just be. As married adults with more worldly experience you are more aware of your options and may be more apt to excercise them. Not sure if that makes sense...what do you guys think?
  19. Posting an update... Stayed at the MGM Grand a few weeks ago. It is massive and has some good restaurants. Our room was huge and had 2 showers which was cool (it was a suite, forget which one?). The staff were all exceptionally courteous and helpful. It's on the monorail stop which can come in handy. This is the only Vegas hotel to have airport check-in where you can get your room keys while you wait for your luggage. I'd stay here again.
  20. That's awesome Yari, grandpa wanted you to be at peace with his passing. I also believe that some people wait to die until they see a certain person, which may have happened with you. My grandpa was dying fast but holding on for no apparent reason. Everyone visited him but my brother who hates hospitals, he finally went and gramps died a few hours later. He should have been dead days before. Sorry for the detour...great stories everyone )
  21. It's official, this sweet tea is my new addiction. As someone said above, I made a specific trip out of the house for it today. Once again the drive-through lady was puzzled that it is all I wanted This was the best brew yet. Their website doesn't list the sugar count but I read elsewhere that it is less sugar than a soda...good enough for me! Thank you McDonald's for this refreshing beverage BTW this is the banner that pulled me in while driving on a hot day:
  22. Beautiful Janet! Is that someone assembling your flowers in the top corner?
  23. LOL...Christa, a girl after my own heart! Bottoms up )
  24. If you have no kids going it is nice to be at an adults only resort. I will say that when we were at ROR there weren't many kids at all, there were a lot of Europeans...lol (my family is European so no offense anyone!) It is large but doesn't seem so big once you are there. Definitely search this site (above, right) because I believe others have asked this question before. Good luck!
