  1. Obviously I'm biased, but people deprive themselves of health everyday by eating too much high fructose corn syrup, caffeine, fat, and the list goes on. The cleanse has outstanding health benefits but again, I don't suggest using it as a diet.
  2. I do the Master Cleanse twice a year. Not for weight loss, but for detoxing/health. Beyonce did it to get skinny and it works (until you eat anything again), but that's not what it is designed for. You would be amazed at what happens to your body (other than weight loss) when you detox though...good stuff if you can hang with it.

  4. Christine you have the hot topic news today! LOL I agree with you, and I'm super liberal but that's insane. Anyone see the Oprah special on polygamy awhile back? They all aren't forced into the lifestyle and some enjoy it, but there is a segment (like the Jeffs following) that I think is abusive and so wrong.

I was freaking out because I was at the grocery store and they declined my card. So I give the "there must be some mistake, I have money in that account" line and the checker is looking at me like "sure you do"...LOL Two failed ATM attempts and a phone call later I got it sorted out!
  6. Anyone else have a problem with their bank after donating? The fraud watch people thought the charges were fraudulent and froze my account! I just spoke with them and they are supposed to be unlocking my card within 5 minutes, so Melissa in case my donation didn't go through it should soon.
  7. The other suggestions are probably your best bet, but since you mentioned steak I thought I'd throw this in. When I was there a few weeks ago after the wedding we ate at Pampas at Planet Hollywood Hotel. It was a festival of meats...haha They just keep bringing skewers of filet mignon, skirt steak, top sirloin, lamb, turkey, pork, sausage, etc. and cutting you pieces. It was nuts! They also have a la carte steaks and entrees. The price was very inexpensive, I think it was like $60pp (not including drinks, tip, etc.). Side bonus, if you sit at the bar while waiting for your table, well drinks are $1....woohoo! Anyhoo, check it out sometime. It's fun for group dining: Welcome to Pampas Churrascaria
  8. Mine wore an all white suit and was hot in it, but only wore the jacket for the ceremony which was short, and for some pics. He wore a short sleeved guayabera under that which kept him cool when the jacket was off.

  10. You make the list and she's lucky to be on it! LOL j/k but unless there is someone critical to her life they don't need to be at your intimate wedding....and even then if they were that critical you would have thought to invite them. Don't feel bad, just invite who you and FI want

  12. Funny, back when I considered BD pics I was wondering the same thing!!! I agree, either rope a friend in or pretend you have something really girly going on at home with your friends (like facials or pedicures..lol) and give him some cash to catch a movie or a game or whatever he is into. Good luck!

I think it would kind of screw up the day trip tho, but I would happy having him run the music and do the MC'inc. Just a thought... I don't see why not. We didn't hire a DJ, just made our own cd's for them to play. I don't know if it was the captain or another crew member, but someone got on the mic to announce the fire dancers and also did some dj stuff like play the music they thought the crowd wanted to hear (for free). It was fun and everyone liked it. Ask Nicole to be sure but I bet you can have whatever you want. That's the beaty of the place!
  14. Thanks for that, it is a great reminder for all DW brides.
  15. Do you know Will and I were seriously considering making this our anniversary trip? He's wanted to go to NYC at least since he started web-slinging on the Spiderman video game, and I've always wanted to go to little Italy to see my people! The timing of your meet-up was perfect for us. We already have time off and nothing booked yet...probably going to end up back in PV for sentimental value, but just wanted you to know how special you East-coasters are that we considered spending our anniversary with you. Whenever we make it there we hope to see whoever is free!
  16. No problem. Normally I don't pass this kind of stuff on but it seems legit and if I can prevent one person from crashing their computer it's worth it
  17. I'm on it Melissa! I'll give what I can. My cousin (in her 20's) died from MS shortly after my wedding so this illness is near to my heart. God bless you for doing what you can for this family...big hugs to you )

So now hundreds of people who thought they were going somewhere today on ATA airlines are left scrambling for other travel options and of course are forced to dish out more money if they are intent on traveling today! Now for any of you who have ATA reservations or flights the following may apply to you as far as getting your money back ( I had to report on this story this morning so hopefully this helps some of you out and again it totally sucks ~ I'm sorry!!!): ATA customers who purchased tickets by credit card were advised to contact their credit card company or travel agency directly for information on how to obtain a refund for unused tickets. Those who purchased ATA tickets with cash or check may be able to obtain a full or partial refund for unused tickets by submitting a claim in ATA's Chapter 11 proceedings. Customers who purchased tickets from Southwest Airlines for flights operated by ATA under the codeshare agreement were asked to contact Southwest Airlines directly at (800) 308-5037. I was just about to say I saw the bride story and the no cash refund thing on the news here but you beat me! What station do you work for? (if you can say)
  20. That's right Christine! Represent for our generation! This is for you...the only song my DH will halfway admit to liking...lol: YouTube - NEW KiDS ON THE BLOCK- Please don't go girl
  21. Hey guys, Don't want to be an alarmist but this was sent to me and confirmed by Snopes.com so I'm passing it on for what it's worth: Anyone using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access t o the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report' If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.' Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'. PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS E-MAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, And ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY! THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY SNOPES (see link below) Urban Legends Reference Pages: Mail Server Report Virus
  22. Wooooo! Yari and I have joked about going to their concert when they hit L.A. There is no way DH will go with me...lol I saw NKOTB live on their Step by Step tour...ha! P.S. Check out Donnie looking all hot...he was always my favorite!
  23. Good question! Christina probably spent it on lingerie...lol A friend of a friend (you know how L.A. is - ha!) works at Agent Provocateur on Melrose and says she spends a bundle there.
  24. #1 - I'm not complaining...lol #2 - That's on the verge of sinful! They hold out for the highest bidder then take the cash...wow. I think I read before that Brad & Angelina donated the $$, not sure
