This happened to my sister when she was showering- it opened up 3 times and she finally locked the door so it couldn't do it anymore. She said she made sure it latched fully each time she shut it too. My grandpa nearly saw her jibs. My grandma's dogs are always growling at nothing. They just stand there with their hair up and growling. So scary. The activity has died down though. Maybe he went to the light after terrorizing for a few years. I would totally do that too. Yep, definitely haunted! And are jibs tits? LOL I hope they are because I want to start using that word! Dogs are super intuitive, small kids too. You can tell when a dog or a baby is staring intently at nothing, or following something in the air with their eyes that you can't see.
  3. hahaha...funny! We have a few nurses here - happy nurse's week to you all!

You should see DH when my mom irks me, he's like "why are you so upset? all she said was..." but to me it burns me up LOL It's a mother-daughter thing I suppose...I'm glad she'll be there too. Vent anytime, we've all been through some version of it!

Once I leave grad school, all my friends here will dispurse across the country. So that will probably make for a bunch more out of state weddings. Sometimes I think I need to stop making new friends so I can start taking non-wedding vacations. Or at least not be a BM anymore. But, I haven't been to so many places in the US, so I figure that's how I'll see the country. One wedding at a time I do RSVP "no" if I'm don't want to go atleast. All these weddings are just people we are close too. And I love shaking it on the dance floor the way you can only get away with at a wedding dance. They may not play Baby got Back, Da Dip, and Rumpshaker in clubs anymore, but it will always be at a wedding dance. And I've got to keep my macarena skills sharp. OK, I'm done hahaha
  6. Ditto...also if you go to quick links in the upper right, then show today's posts, it will be there.
  7. Uggh Morgan 2 more weddings? They are fun but they can become tedious...we just went to one in March and have another one in July (both in Vegas!) and I wanted to say no but I didn't so now we're committed. I know all about that and it definitely cuts into that vacation time! A cabin sounds nice too, anything to be alone. I'm sure you'll be satisfied in Mexico, after all one can't really complain about being on vacation...lol (it beats being at work!) Brazil is on our list of places to go too, fun!
  8. Woohoo!!! Here's to being married to the man of your dreams!

We were worn out after the wedding week, for sure! But once we got on the next plane and were flying to start our honeymoon in a new place we were super excited all over again...kind of how we felt on the way to the wedding. Price wise it would have been less costly without the additional flight but being in Jamaica - alone - after being in Mexico with everyone was refreshingly awesome. Plus we stepped off the plane as newleyweds and got to make memories in a place that was only ours, we shared Mexico...if that makes sense. But yes, a vacation 6 months later would be nice too

The humidity helps to get rid of some wrinkles, but depending on the fabric it may not be enough. Maybe someone else here knows of one

  14. Not selfish, in fact even if you had initially went with the adults only resort knowing he had kids you wouldn't be selfish - it's your wedding. Now you're stuck at the family resort instead of an adults-only like you wanted. That is just wrong and I'm sorry! The only thing worse on his part would be if he asked you to move the wedding to his new resort...lol Sorry to joke because it stinks...and it is proof once again that you should do what you want because people are flakes. (it's not his fault he can't afford it, it's his fault for not doing the math sooner thereby making a promise he couldn't keep - flake!) You'll still have a wonderful wedding but it is super annoying...best of luck
  15. I've not seen it but I'll look for it, sounds entertaining! The first apartment DH and I got together many years ago was completely haunted. So many weird things happened there that we got used to it, and I would talk to the air like a crazy person - "You're dead, go to the light, there's nothing here for you" etc. LOL Things would turn on by themselves, we would see shadows, hear noises, etc. Once I was walking through the kitchen and these 2 pennies flew off the top of the microwave in front of me. They weren't close to the edge, and they didn't fall straight down and hit the counter like they would have if they fell naturally - they moved horizontally a good 3 feet then hit the floor. Later that night a frying pan lid made of glass shattered for no reason. It had been sitting in the dish rack for hours and nobody was near it...I guess the ghost was extra mad that day!
  16. You were a gorgeous bride! I love that it rained because it just enhances your memories, and you wouldn't have got that cool umbrella shot otherwise! Congrats!

  18. It's cool how many of us have pets, especially dogs! I finally made a collage of our little one, and my parents' dog that had to be put to sleep when she was only 2 or 3:
  19. We didn't, I really didn't want to have that much structure. We had about 30 people too. There were 2 seats at the head of a long table that were obviously ours, and people just sat where they wanted. For a split second I considered a chart but I would have put the wedding party nearest to us, which means their guests too. So basically a GM's date who he's known for like 3 months would be in my face while my mom/someone I cared about was far away...lol Wasn't feeling that. It worked fine, nobody was confused about how to sit down, and it was less work to just let it flow rather than make a chart. Maybe it depends on your crowd? Some of our guests actually said it was cool that they could sit with who they wanted, but it was a kick back barefoot wedding. If it was large and formal I probably would have made one. Good luck
  20. No but DH went with his friend this weekend for a dude's day out...lol He said it was the best Marvel movie yet. It must be good because our local theater showed it every 30 minutes from like 10am to 2am!
  21. A bunch of my friends went when they came out here to Vegas a few weeks back. They are Jay-Z groupies, I'm not a huge fan so I stayed home because they would have irked the sh!t out of me...lol But MJB I've loved since What's the 411 so that would have been cool. I made them MJB cd's for the drive..haha Glad you had fun!
  22. How fun, glad you guys met up! I haven't been to Disneyland in years but I see a pic of Thunder Mtn. Railroad, love that ride! Cute pics
