Awww...I totally understand that, no worries. You brought up a good point though because our book suggestions aren't evaluated and that's fine, but a disclaimer seemed like a good idea just in case someone gets seriously offended down the line and thinks we chose a specific subject matter that we shouldn't have, you know?
  2. I'm loving it. Normally I would have been done by now but I've been super busy lately, I can finish it asap. Just let me know the date and I'll be ready
  3. Okay thanks! I added it to the top of the first page so it's clear!

Well I made Lariette (varsity drill team) and we had to go up to Sonic dressed up like different things....me being a chicken....and lay in the middle of the walkway - where everyone looks when they are parked there, and fry like bacon! Yep - me being a sophmore in high school on a Friday night dressed like a chicken - frying like bacon in front of everyone! Man I was cool! What a great initiation... Good times!
  5. I'm not sure if books are rated like movies? Although if they aren't I bet they will be one day! I'm not for censorship either Yari. I think we are all adults and can decide if something is for us or not on an individual basis. How about a disclaimer? BOOK CLUB DISCLAIMER: Participation in this Book Club is strictly voluntary. Books are not pre-screened and may contain material or discuss issues which are unexpected, shocking, or even offensive. If a member is not comfortable with the given selection participation can end and, if desired, begin again when the next book is selected. Sound good ladies? If so I'll add it to the first page of this thread so it won't be missed.
  6. Welcome to the forum, Chris! If you haven't already, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the vendor rules. Thank you http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t921
  7. I'm not in San Jose but I want to welcome you to the forum! Happy planning
  8. Welcome, Sarah! I've been to Turtle Bay and it's a gorgeous place for a wedding. Definitely check the Hawaii subforum, and take advantage of the search function if you're having trouble finding something. It is on the upper right of your screen. Happy planning
  9. Love your pics!! You looked beautiful and I love your dress and the red shoes!!
  10. Aww you look so pretty! I'm glad you had a great time
  11. Now that's feeling the effects of the bad economy...yikes! So sorry and like the others I hope he quickly finds something even better...hang in there
  12. We had the same boat concerns. Our website had actually a section about missing the boat...lol I would definitely include it in your timeline. We also reminded guests at our dinner the night before the wedding. We told them stuff like - They don't have a list of guest names and if you aren't there at "x" time they will not wait for you, unfortunately there are no other boats you can hire to take you there, it would be a shame to come all the way to PV for our wedding and miss it, etc....it worked for us

Bunch o' crap if you ask me WA state: Cell Phones As of January 1st, 2008, it is illegal to text message while driving. Beginning July 1st, 2008, it will be illegal to drive while chatting on a hand-held cell phone. Handsfree OK, but no discounts, coupons, or freebies from any cellular provider are availble. If caught you will be slugged with a $101 fine. Interesting, I wonder how many states have similar laws. Out here they are also doing the cable switch...not cool.

You're not alone on not tipping for fast food, I've never heard of it either.
  15. Thanks for the bday wishes everyone!! My awesome husband pitched a tent and has been at the beach since 8am ensuring a prime spot & firepit for tonight, isn't he the sweetest? He told me to relax and meet him there when I'm ready...awww That means I better not spend too much time on the forum right now or I won't be there for hours...hehe
  16. Awww, thanks a bunch! We are hanging at the beach all day then some friends are meeting us for bonfire later. Hopefully it isn't too chilly today. It's also Flag Day! It's not a cool day off type of holiday but technically my bday is a national holiday LOL

Hooray for the cherry limeade! And I wouldn't tip for that either, it's not like they deliver it on roller skates..lol
  18. Too cool! I hope you make it, how awesome would that be?!?
  19. Omg Omg Omg remember awhile back I started a Sonic thread because I am jealous of everyone who lives near one? WELL, when we went to Disneyland for our anniversary there was a Sonic like 5 miles away and WE WENT! I agree with everyone who recommended the cherry limeade, wowsers!!! I wish they sold that by the liter! And no, we didn't tip...but I did take pictures because it was so monumental for me...LOL

In our office there is a big purple Lakers flag that's been up for a few weeks now. Yesterday I put a post-it with "OS" over part of the word Lakers so it read Losers...when the super fans came in they weren't amused, it was great! Only myself and like 3 others thought it was funny
  21. Great costumes Rachel!! I really love pirate stuff - books, movies, the ride at Disneyland LOL If I could go back in time I would love to be a pirate of the caribbean!
  22. For future brides if getting rsvp cards is a strain on the budget I say don't bother! Have them email or do it on your website, you'll probably get the same amount of replies either way (although it is cool to get some back in the mail). My mom, MOH, and a BM didn't rsvp because they thought the card was cute and wanted to save it...lol Then there were those who gave the "you know I'm coming" line...then there were those who sent the card back with a "yes" and didn't end up coming...don't get me started. Guests can be very rude!
