  1. Awww how cool, you look so pretty! Your mom made those boxes? Wow!!! Looking forward to more pics
  2. We love hot sauce so much that we have categories of favorites...LMAO!! I have a lot of the same as some of you guys already said. Crystal, Red Rooster, Louisiana Hot Sauce - all classics for fried fish/chicken/cup o' noodles when I used to be addicted to them Huy Fong Sriracha - in the squeeze bottle, love love love this stuff with rice, noodles, veggies, soups, meats, fish, anything really..my #1 or #2 favorite hot sauce of all time for sure (also any other sriracha rocks but this one is what I get) Sambal Oelek - I grew up eating this w/the Indonesian food my dad cooked, it's hot as fire but when used in the right porportions really accentuates the dish (but I'm not kidding, the stuff is hot!) Valentina - hot & extra hot flavors, my fave for burritos & quesadillas & I love it on ceviche/tostadas mixtas Pico Pica - on tacos and on cheezits - omg! Tapatio - different flavor & good for anything (I don't like Doritos but I'll eat them covered in Tapatio)
  3. Glenda that is so cool, great idea and nothing like what you didn't want - how fun!!!
  4. It totally depends on their taste. Are they luxury people? What island(s) are they interested in? They have to factor in what type of vacation they want, i.e. if they want to eat all meals out or get a condo and make some, etc. They could easily spend $10k but they could also do it for less than half of that if they aren't too fussy Danielle, I agree you can totally do it for way less than $7k!!!

Thanks to you all for offering your suggestions and help For now, a little break - I'm off to play Mario Kart! Good for you now go play Mario Kart, love that game!
  6. Thanks for taking the time to write such an outstanding review! You were a gorgeous bride, congratulations!
  7. I love Like Water for Chocolate and read it like once a year - total nerd I know!!! I haven't read The Woman Warrior since 9th grade so I'm no help there but sounds like you're on the right path. Have fun
  8. Well I'm no help with the monograms but congrats on choosing the resort...I wish we could go to Cuba And that was sweet of your dad to email you that song!
  9. Uggghh...I hate work battles. I'm glad you spoke up even if you shouted, you had to try to clear the air. Keep us posted on round 2!
  10. What a cool way to show some love for your little man. And dude he is growing up on us, your siggy pics are so cute!

Don't fret if you don't get the response you were hoping for, after all this is the best destination wedding forum not the best socially conscious forum. It's happened to me too. You tried to put it out there and that's all you can do. At least 2 of us heard you
  12. Thanks for the review. It's great to get a variety of PV hotel info circulating, a lot of us seem to go to the same ones! I am cracking up at the taxi stories because PV taxi drivers are their own breed. Some of my best PV stories revolve around taxi drivers, some were the nicest people ever and some were kind of savage but it's all part of the experience Sounds like you had a great stay overall
  13. That's just silly...does the kid have a cell phone yet? LOL Good job reporting her Whenever we have a kid they are going to hate us because they are going to have to live by the 70s/80s standards we did - do your homework after school, go outside and play tag until you are tired, come eat dinner, and go to sleep. Simple!
  14. I really enjoyed your review. Too bad about the sea sickness but it totally happened to our guests too and you're right, for some reason the ride back is smooth. It sounds like a great day with minor issues. Beautiful pics, I love your calla lily bouquet
  15. Oh wow I missed this yesterday, thanks for sharing both of you

  17. Oooh these are really cute too! (except the Urban Outfitters models don't look very happy to be getting photographed and they may be a little hungry LOL) Swell - RIP CURL CARIOKA DRESS UrbanOutfitters.com > Kimchi & Blue Highlighter Dress UrbanOutfitters.com > Lux Colorblock Tube Dress UrbanOutfitters.com > Lux Floral Tiered Tube Dress
  18. Target is practically giving these away and they are cute: Juniors' Mossimo Supply Co. Tube Dress with Smocked Bodice - Turquoise : Target Or this Juniors' Mossimo Supply Co. Tube Dress - Bayou : Target
  19. Great advice from everyone and I agree. You may be an exception but most of us have learned that they won't come. Even close relatives and friends who think it's the best idea ever and tell you they wouldn't miss it for the world won't make it in the end. I went through something similar and we also wanted a small wedding. I sent STD's to about 100 people (some were the parents' friends!) and we were thinking "OMG what if they all come!". From there roughly 60 people said yes and I was still a little freaked out but willing to go with it, in the end we had a little over 30 and it was perfect. Don't cave, have the wedding you want and if you know some people you would rather not have there will come for sure...don't invite them. The beauty of a DW is that you can say it's just an intimate wedding out of the country and get away with not inviting everyone and their mother. That's harder to pull off in your home town. Good luck!!!
