  1. Okay Becks then you probably don't want to know that I grew up eating mayo on my french fries LOL It's a Dutch thing and unhealthy but goooood!
  2. This is a cool new forum! I just moved a bunch of threads over here and I'm sure there are more. As Alyssa said please let us know if yours is still floating around outside of the wedding planning journal
  3. Thanks for sharing Edna. I hope that it all comes back together the way it is supposed to and I also hope your health improves back to normal. Best wishes

Keep it fresh, that's what we say in our house. Some days appreciative gestures come naturally and some days you have to work a little harder (like when you are tired and don't feel like listening to his stories & vice versa) but just get it done somehow and it will pay off dividends!
  5. I've had a few requests so I'm going to post some songs here. Most of these were played at our wedding either during the ceremony or reception. Also quite a few of them were on our favor CD. Tara - if you have any I forget to list here please add them on! These are off the top of my head so I'm sure I forgot some. I'll post more when I go through my archives. P.S. Some of them may not be well known but you can usually find a sample on youtube/amazon/etc. Also my idea of beachy may be different than yours, but these songs make me think of beach & love P.P.S I'm a Teena Marie junkie so please disregard the overload ARTIST - TITLE Goapele - Butterfly kisses Gipsy Kings - Un Amor 311 - Love song Robin Thicke - Lost Without U (our 1st dance song) Bob Marley W/Lauryn Hill - Turn Your Lights Down Low Bob Marley - Satisfy My Soul Steel Pulse - Your House Teena Marie - The Air I Breathe (walked down the aisle to this) Teena Marie - You Make Love Like Springtime Teena Marie - Now That I Have You Eagles - Love Will Keep Us Alive Sade - Sweetest Taboo Sade - Kiss of Life Lauren Wood - Fallen Corrine Bailey Rae - Like A Star Frankie Beverly & Maze - Golden Time of Day (played when we kissed/walked out) Huey Lewis & the News - Happy To Be Stuck With You(kind of cheesy but it can work for the right couple) UB40 - (I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You Big Mountain - Baby I Love Your Way

LOL NO WAY! I have to tell my godmother because she's been pushing PB & Mayo sandwiches for years! Not sure how the idea came up, but she said in college they used to make toasted PB & Mayo as a hangover cure and it worked every time. I've haven't tried it yet but perhaps I should. I'm seriously shocked that someone else does this...too cool! Tell your DH that my godmother and her college friends ate these weekly so you aren't alone
  7. Cool vintage stuff and great blog Mishka! I love Puerto Vallarta and and seeing your work there is cool. Thanks for sharing
  8. Okay you win for best wedding story - your ceremony was pushed back because of a funeral, during which your priest had a heart attack, and they had to find a back-up priest to perform your ceremony? LMAO!!! I'm glad you have a sense of humor and didn't go all bridezilla over that, and the other hiccups. Once again you were gorgeous and I'm glad you got to have your wedding with a side of cupcakes
  9. Good to hear from you! Sounds like the free time has done you some good and I hope you find an even better job than before. Stay positive!
  10. I made my own using pictures of PV that I found online and personalizing them to use as the STD. They came out great. I used Business Cards & More at PrintsMadeEasy.com and highly recommend them. As for already made ones I don't know where to get them! Good luck
  11. Too funny, I just got a call from some friends who said they drove up to Kern River today and are at Sandy Flats until Sunday if we want to join them. We aren't going but small world!
  12. The wagging is too cute, all our dog needs is a glance her direction and she starts wagging too LOL
  13. Traditionally I think that's a no-no but you mentioned it's a work shower? Not sure what the etiquette is as far as inviting the whole job to the wedding...I wouldn't think you have to? I would spend $30-40 tops on a co-worker's shower gift unless they were good friends with me...and if I caught a good sale I would have no problem spending $15-20.
  14. You're lucky its FedEx & not DHL...you should get it within a week.

  16. Kat I love that Lucifer is the name of your cat! This is funny because dogs are just happy to be in your life and cats are so...well...just like it says in the diary!
  17. Wasn't it Boulder that Oprah visited on her cross country road trip? I remember her being in CO and in a town where everyone was active and fit because she stopped someone on the street and remarked how nobody there was overweight LOL Pretty sure that was Boulder.

CAT DIARY Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow...but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now..........
  19. I voted Venice because it matches your desire for culture, art, history, architecture, & wineries. Any of those choices would be amazing though!
  20. Yum! We make watermelon agua fresca but never thought to add alcohol...DUH! Sounds great.
