  1. BTW since you're so good w/tech stuff...when I put our wedding DVD in the computer is says it can't play it because of the format or something, I forget the exact message. Did you have to download something to play yours or is my computer just lame? It plays other DVDs just fine.

The minister was talking about the sanctity of marriage or whatever and DH is all "you smell good" LOL I agree with the length, short and meaningful works best but you usually don't find that out until after the fact. Future brides take note - you'll be excited and hot so less is more
  4. A co-worker emailed me this link. It expires tomorrow but if you and a friend are going anyway you can save a few bucks Jamba - The Real Deal

That was SCARY! It is so funny to hear midwest and east coast people talk about how they are so scared of quakes because I'm not so much scared of them since I have been in them but yet hurricanes and tornados scare me to death!!! It's funny! Yay - an '89 quake survivor! Me too!! That was a massive quake. Standing on solid ground felt like riding on a boat going through a bad storm. I remember our whole block being out in the street all night with candles/flashlights because the power was out and we were scared to be in our houses with all the aftershocks....it was really unbelievable. I feel the same though - give me an earthquake over a hurricane or tornado any day. At least devastating earthquakes don't happen every year on schedule. All of it is bad really, darn mother nature!
  6. I love that Marvin/Tammy song, it makes me misty eyed thinking about it!
  7. I enjoyed that, thanks! I was laughing when you two were talking amongst yourselves while the officiant was talking, right before the vows haha
  8. Thanks for worrying guys and thanks for the message Jay I was sleeping and it woke me up, the bed was rolling/shaking. My dog was in her bed sound asleep so I figured if she was cool it wasn't that bad and I went back to sleep LOL About 40 minutes ago my phone went off with voicemails and texts from a few hours ago (major delay) that's when I knew it was big. I'm just glad I wasn't at work on the 8th floor because evacuation would have sucked! When I heard the epicenter was Chino Hills I thought omg Yari! I hope all is well at home girl! If there is another one stay away from windows/heavy ceiling fixtures if possible. Quote: Originally Posted by LC_Rachel WTF- they teach you that stuff now Angela? The last I heard it isn't safe to stand in door jams like they taught us in school, and they are also saying hiding under a table/desk can trap you if the ceiling falls. My mom had to do a recent earthquake training where the fireman said to get between 2 spaces if possible, like the space between 2 counters or anything with a space basically, and cover your head with your hands. He said they have found more people dead/trapped under tables and beds than anywhere else and if you do what they say you have a better chance of crawling out if something falls. So basically steer clear of what you can and pray that nothing falls!

  19. Happy birthday to the queen of Queens, my sister in sarcasm, Jen!! Wishing you a blissful day full of fun and laughter with your hubby. Enjoy!!!
  20. Thanks, Paula! Te extraño, good seeing you around
  21. Everyone's are looking good! JenniferLynn, yours is a little too big (very cool though, can you resize it?). I have to make sure mine isn't too big actually, I think the limits are 350x500 but I need to go double check.

Plus you live in the coolest place I've never been, well I go there every night at 6 and 6:30 but you know what I mean haha Love you too!

Or a place for LC brides to chat? I love the earrings but I'm with Rachel, I wouldn't spend that much for just one day. (although it is a big day, but it's just your ears and you'll forget you're wearing them anyway imo) You can get earrings that look similar for way less. This is a thread for LC brides in general, and I say that includes anything and everything LC brides want to talk about
