  1. That is a huge guest list. Are his parents paying for it in any way? If so you may have to give a little, if it's your money then you definitely don't have to invite great aunt so and so whom neither of you know. Good luck!!

    Hi!

Welcome Desiree, sounds like you chose to have a DW for the same reasons as most of us! You'll find a ton of information here, happy planning
  3. bca33, welcome to the Las Caletas club!! I can't believe how many October/November weddings we have...woohoo!!!
  4. Great info everyone, thanks! I've heard so much about cenotes but have yet to travel to that region
  5. OMG I missed this too!!!!!!!!!!! Love you to pieces Glenda

Welcome and once you narrow down the location you should have no trouble finding the perfect villa for your wedding
  8. Shoot I forgot about an A...if I don't find one today I'll catch up with you guys on B
  9. How cool!!! You sure do have a team...lol We have 1 niece and 1 nephew, my SIL's children. They are too cute
  10. For citizens of the U.S. the presidential election will be here before we know it. Everyone doesn't vote and I respect that, but if you want to vote and may have moved or never registered before I wanted to put the info out there because it's never too early to get it done. This isn't meant to be a thread to support or criticize either nominee or those who are no longer in the race, but just to remind people who want to vote to register and how to do it. Here are some websites for more info: Home*-*Declare Yourself Rock the Vote www.ProjectVote.org/Register
  11. Hot off the presses...they sold the photos to both People and Hello for a rumored combined $14 million. Of course the money goes to their charity...hear that J-Lo?
  12. Unbelievable. People are warped. I had a co-worker tell me her feelings were hurt because she wasn't invited, this after asking how much the TA wanted down because she wants to take a vacation in June so the timing is perfect. I never invited her, she heard about the TA thing from a co-worker I did invite because we are actually friends. I told her she could not come but it's just the nerve of people..... Hang in there, odds are some other fool will try this down the line so stick to your guns!
  13. Yari you look so pretty and happy as a clam! The cake server is gorgeous. What a cool shower
  14. Okay they all fit you like a glove so I can't judge based on that! Judging based on the dress I like best I voted for #3
  15. Wow Maura everything looks great! Your ceremony is long!! Are you simulating a mass outside since nobody really knows you already did it? I used White Aisle too and they were awesome to work with (I was going to say some pics are wrong but you're on it!)
  16. Our legal day was super casual like Becks described, we wore jeans. We didn't write vows or use rings. Afterwards we went to lunch then we went home, it was very chill. I had 3 ceremonies in 3 different places over the span of 4 months and none of them detracted from the others, the DW where I wore the dress and wrote the vows was the big one but they are all unique. Samanthag, you can do your legal day whenever you want, the courts have no interest in your non-legal DW wedding because it doesn't count to them anyway. I think most people here do theirs relatively close to their DW, mine was about 2 weeks before the DW. It's all up to you and your hubby-to-be
  17. These DW haters never cease to amaze me, how rude is that? You responded well, good for you!
  18. I just saw this and it totally made me cry...awwww That's awesome
  19. Omg that hurts to read! I hope the pain goes away soon, poor thing!

It's right on the beach, has killer margaritas and has won several "Best Of" awards in recent years, including best service. Daiquiri Dick's - About Us Barcelona Tapas had YUUUMMY food & sangria, but the patio did not seem like it would comfortably hold a "large" (20-30) group. Also the service was poor when we went... (sorry Jamy! *ducks* ) How dare you not do exactly what I did! LOL No worries, although I wonder what level you were on because the restaurant is something like 4 stories with patios ranging in sizes on each level. Our service was exemplary but it was also our event so they probably put it on thick, I didn't go in advance like you did. We looked into Daquiri Dick's as well. We weren't fond of the menu, it just wasn't what we were looking for, but the location is beautiful and would make a great place for a WD
  21. Good for Vegas brides to know, thanks! I'd imagine the lines will be really long all over the country for that matter.
