I think once you get there that night you'll have wished you had more time there. (my avatar is Caletas by day) It is truly magical, plus you don't have to worry about your hairstyle being blown away on the boat over, LOL! Either way we are lucky to not have to worry about the location, there's plenty of other bridal worries!
  2. I like #2 best as well . . . do you prefer the artificial flower? I ask because I'm going to have Nicole get some fresh ones for me and I know she could do it for you. I may actually get the flower tiara but still am undecided. The artificial ones are cool though because of the clip.
  3. I bought a box (36 cans) of Sea & Ski After Sun Therapy on eBay and paid $3.50 plus s&h. Never tried it before, but it sounds good and is made with aloe, avocado, chamomile, cucumber, etc. They have more cases and nobody really bids on them from what I see . . . bids start at 99 cents. A practical & cost effective addition to your OOT bags - check it out: eBay: 1 CASE SEA & SKI ALOE AFTER SUN THERAPY 36 CANS CASE (item 260096900444 end time Mar-21-07 08:17:45 PDT)

Leigh, have you been to Cancun before? It is nice to get a feel for both the city & the wedding location, but not at all necessary with all the online resources out there. If time/money permits you can take a romantic scouting trip, if not your wedding will still be fabulous!
  6. Beautiful!! I say definitely use both colors. Is that cardstock that you've printed the names on or just regular paper? Looks great . . .
  7. Dang Ann that really bites!! If it's not one thing it's another I guess. We too had the upstairs neighbor with a leaking dishwasher, no collapse, but a crack that constantly dripped. It will work out - but what a hassle!!
  8. We sent out an envelope with a STD magnet and the following letter: P.S. That weird border was not on the prints I received, don't know why it shows in Adobe?

I've had that issue, switched rooms the first time but the next room was the same. Maybe it's because I always visit in the summer when the humidity is like 100%
  10. Thanks Amanda, we are staying there with several guests in June. Glad we made a good choice, there are so many hotels in P.V.!!
  11. Wow, you're good, thanks! I have yet to book the photographer so this helps!
  12. I agree that it is a great idea, maybe keeping super personal info (TTC, bios) for a private area? Just a thought ;o)
  13. Yay! Welcome, I'm June 2nd at LC. You're almost there!!
  14. "Gemini's can drink without changing their behavior much-- they're so naturally chatty and short-attention-spanned that it's just hard to tell sometimes. They can amaze you by conversing with finesse and allusion, then doing something unbelievable in an extremely advanced state of intoxication, like puking in your shoe." LMAO - SCARY BUT TRUE!!
  15. For us, it was important to be clear about the following: - Will the WC or person in charge be on site from start to finish - How late does the reception go & what are you charged for going over that time if you so choose? Is that even an option? - Specify all food & drink items included and amount per guest if not unlimited - Photographer/Video they offer or if they allow outside vendors at the hotel - Are there separate areas to ensure you don't see each other pre-ceremony? - What are the music options? Can you provide your own if you want? - Who handles small stuff like program distribution & seating of guests? That's all I can think of for now, hope that helps ;o)
  16. I second that Amy!! Lindsay you are awesome and I am so glad your wedding was fabulous. I'm glad I'm booked at Las Caletas already or I may be having second thoughts right now . . . . from all the LC brides who have posted reviews it just seems like Nicole and co. really have their stuff together and that's important. I've not heard one bad review yet. We're doing the site inspection to get away alone before the wedding. We have so many guests we haven't seen in years so our alone time will be at a premium other than that. Plus, Las Caletas by day is totally different than at night. Mmmmm....paella! Thanks for sharing everything, we LC brides do appreciate it!!
  17. I love your reviews Lindsay...I keep tuning in for more! You are getting me so excited ;o)

Do your best and at least the main people you care about will be there.
  19. Ewwww.... I hope you can get out of that place at some point. From my experience the people who preface their BS with "I'm not racist" are the most racist. I have problems keeping my big mouth closed and have lost jobs over it so if you need that job I would wait until you find another one to tell them what you told us. Wanna have some fun? Take those order now pay later forms out of every ethnic magazine you can find and fill out their home addresses. At the very least it will cause them stress. I once had a homophobic boss and I subscribed him to the gayblade and he griped about it all week (didn't know it was me, apparantly his wife didn't believe it was a mix-up). It doesn't solve anything but that was my best week ever at that job. Hang in there . . .
  20. Welcome Gem and congrats on your recent engagement!! Wherever you decide to marry there are plenty of friendly brides here with a lot of info. Happy planning!
  21. I also just want to welcome you....I'm honeymooning at Riu Ocho Rios but never been before. It looks like a beautiful spot for a wedding!!
  22. Christine thanks for sharing, I'll make a mental note for the next time I go to Hawaii.
  23. Thanks Ann. That's good to know about Barcelona Tapas.....I thought about hosting my WD there but they would not discuss anything via email, wanted me to call Mexico since my group was more than 8 people. I guess that's not totally unreasonable but it kind of turned me off since other places were open to email, so I never called them. The food and views are supposed to be good too . . . too bad Thanks for passing that on!
