  2. I have so much to say LOL I love them all, you look fabulous! The color of the water is awesome and ties in the bm dress and your hubby's tie. And I love your hair . . . are those fresh flowers? All the photos are awesome, the group shot is too cute. I could go on and on, it looks like an amazing day. Congrats to you both!!
  3. Glenda you kill me (in a good way). Your wit and humor is needed. And OMG, 90210 is #3 on my priority list of dvr timers . . . I watch it after work each day . . . 2 episodes a day . . . with the junk food . . . where have you been all my life?

  5. Thanks Glenda, I'll do it the word of mouth way. At a friend's wedding in Cancun last year she had to divide her gifts among family to take back with her so yeah, there are people who won't attend a wedding without bringing a gift. Someone told me they were searching my registry for something easy to carry to Mexico so I told that person, but I think I'll gently spread the word to everyone. Thanks again )
  6. Hooray for Maria and Laura, great price! Aren't they cool? My late night web surfing paid off for us all, glad I could help. One less thing to look for
  7. We're sending our guests a final mailing in May to update/remind them of things. In it we want to include that we do not want them to bring wedding gifts to Mexico. Honestly we don't want to carry them back or pay any duties if that even applies. It's tricky because we don't want to sound like a gift is obligatory, but we don't want to end up in Mexico with a bunch of packages and wish we would have said something. Any suggestions?
  8. Welcome to the forum and happy planning )

  10. I got the plastic safe on a string thingys too, 12 for $8. They have a built in whistle and compass on the bottom. Oriental trading has saved me lots so far and I had never heard of them until this forum. Thanks everyone!
  11. I used creative montage and got 6 for $15 . . . then had 3 of those altered so I really ended up with 9. They were easy to work with. They also sell favors with your monogram (cookies, lip balm, etc.) but I just ordered the monogram stickers for my diy stuff.
  12. Aww, you beat me - I had to pay $3.50 ( Congrats though, what a deal! I received the shipment and there is no visible expiration date! I swear I looked all over, I literally got out my magnifying glass and everything - nothing. I can probably call the manufacturer and give them a code or something but I tried it, it smells great, it moisturizes, so I'm happy ) Shipping was costly due to weight, but I still spent a total of $20 for the 36 bottles incuding s&h. If they are still on ebay I would recommend them if you're looking for this type of product.
  13. Yeah that's pretty tacky!! As if you would even consider that! I love kids but I still feel there is a time and a place and it is the decision of the person throwing the event, be it a wedding or any other type of party.
  14. Christine you are hottt! I love those. Nice lingerie too. Leigh after this wedding I will find you and have you turn me into a centerfold too, I swear!! What a nice treat for our men )
  15. Me too, we will honor 6/2/07 as our anniversary but will civilly wed in CA probably in May. No blood test, no hassle. When we get to Mexico it will be all fun.
  16. Heads up if you live near an Anna's Linens, I just saw a commercial advertising beach towels for $2.99. They were cute, not sure about quality.

Yeah, the wedding is in 2 months and I never got your address, don't hold your breath!
  18. You guys crack me up, thanks I needed all of your comments!! The sensitive girl is 36 years old and said she's never been out of the U.S. - um, so what? I had someone months ago ask me the date so she could book her trip early. So these people know it's in Mexico, damn opportunists! And how sad is it that they would spend a grand to vacation with someone who didn't ask them? All I can do is laugh and say um, no it's small and in Mexico for my FRIENDS and FAMILY. I did invite 3 people from work and actually a few guys at work are groomsmen - BUT - these are people we've known for years, vacation with, spend Thanksgiving with, etc. These other co-workers overhear talk of plans and get their panties in a bunch. If I didn't have a sense of humor I would have turned violent by now I swear. And Amy the fact that someone would ask to be in your bridal party is also ridiculous! People wanting to bring extra kids and the ex's mom who wants an invite are totally out of line .... are they serious? Who raised these people?!?!?
  19. have any of you been approached by people asking for invites to your wedding? It happened to me again today and my palms got real itchy! This is the fourth co-worker of mine to do so, but the first to say her feelings were hurt that she was not invited. HER FEELINGS WERE HURT? WTF? This isn't a backyard bbq, we aren't meeting at Chili's for drinks, it's my flippin wedding. In each case these are people whose phone numbers I don't have and whose last names I struggle to remember. In other words we aren't friends, I've never seen you outside of work, you probably can't spell my name, so why in the world do you think I would pay for you to eat at my wedding? Call my parents crazy but I was raised not to ask to be invited anywhere. If someone wants you somewhere they ask you, am I right? I have no obligation to invite everyone that smiles at me. I just had to let this out because some of these @$#&%$@ are unbelievable. As I tell these people my small wedding is for friends and family I literally cannot contain my laughter because it is so ridiculous to me. That's some rude shit!!!
  20. Heck yeah, go for the fake. I may do the same. With the money FI recently spend on the engagment ring & honeymoon and money we've both spent on other wedding expenses, I don't want to be in debt when we return from the wedding! I agree that nobody will really know. Although it's fun, picking bands we'll keep for life seems like another chore we don't need right now!!!
  21. This is a stretch, but have you checked travel review websites like lonelyplanet or igougo? Also photo hosting sites like flickr . . . I've found random photos of places I'm going to that were taken in the months I plan to go. Perhaps you'll find something that helps you. Good luck!
  22. We have 6 and 6 . . . it may end up uneven if some of them don't get their passports together! It doesn't have to be symmetrical, as long as the people up there have meaning in your life that's all that matters.
  23. It had not even occured to me to get a garter! If I do I'm not tossing it until I get to the honeymoon suite. I'm also giving my bouquet to my mom.
