  1. I had custom luggage tags made for them that I'm going to give them at the shower this weekend. They probably don't expect a gift so anything is thoughtful, even just a thank you card.
  2. We drove around Oahu too and it may be one of your favorite days. The scenery is amazing and like Tammy said, get a plate lunch they are soooo good. Try and make time to swim at Lanikai and/or Kailua, you won't regret it. Aww I wanna go!!!
  3. I agree with Debs, wear #1 for the ceremony and maybe dinner, and then change into #2 after dinner. It is slightly more casual and you can still have pictures in both of your dresses.

This is my first wedding but I thought a bm shirt noting the date/place would be cool since it is in Mexico i.e. a vacation souvenir. . . any thoughts? Oh, and I like #3 also.
  5. Drea I feel your pain. I've had to realize that nobody is ever into your wedding as much as you are. They care, they want to "be there" but they aren't really because it isn't theirs. None of my bms are married and I think if they ever planned a wedding that they would be on more top of things. If I'm ever in a wedding after this I know I will be just from seeing how everyone's lagging really adds stress! Buying the dress now when it's on sale makes total sense to me . . . my bm's lagged so much I had to pick a new fast-ship dress so don't worry about their feelings and get the dress you want. One day we'll laugh about this stuff....one day )
  6. I love your guests' outfits . . . it looks like you handpicked them to make for good photos LOL Great colors!

  8. Maria I love the pink totes and the shoulder packs for the guys . . . I don't think any of my male guests will actually use the totes I'm having made but yours are practical...great find!
  9. Natalie, Welcome and I'm sorry I spaced on welcoming you sooner! I'll try to answer as many questions as I can, I think the other ladies can add in more info. Ann has lots of details. Here is what I know: I don't think you can start earlier but if you find out otherwise let me know, I would like that too. I'm pretty sure dinner cannot be on the beach because they set up the dancefloor/reception stuff there while you are eating dinner above. There are several hammocks everywhere, some covered and out of the way. Do you think his grandfather could work with a hammock and a blanket? They seem pretty strict on the no bridal suite after dark. Perhaps you can arrange a separate boat to take him back sooner? I know they have smaller boats the staff use to get back and forth. Someone here used their photographer and was pleased, let me remember or look it up. Sorry that's all I know, Nicole is very nice and informative so don't hesitate to contact her directly too if we can't help you with something. Best Wishes, Jamy
  10. I know the Zoo is right on the malecon and I think the Velas is in the marina . . . based on that I would think a 10-15 minute/$5 cab ride? Close but not walking distance. Oh and Melissa my bachelorette party is at Nikki Beach in the end of May . . . I'll let you know what I think but it looks lovely.
  11. Oh cool! Yeah I figured they would be on the thin side given the price but those designs are so darn cute!

I bet those brides had the same issues we've all commented on---- horror BM/GM stories, bad family member reactions, etc...--- and the "Bridezilla" came out at the end from the stress of dealing with everyone else! Wonder what happened to that show? That, and Platinum Weddings? We were totally hooked on both of them! My dvr is set for those shows but it's been all repeats lately ( When I had a mini-breakdown in March I watched Bridezillas and for the first time found myself totally on their side and cursing the incompetant people around them. Now that I'm better I'm kind of in the middle. I guess wedding stress can make anyone flip out but some of those chicks are bitches from the start!
  13. Thanks Rachelle. They are getting that and customized shirts. I still need something extra for my moh and a bm that's like a sister!
  14. I ordered them from white aisle but I added the ribbon myself because I felt they were missing something. The quality of paper is very nice too. FI works for photostamps so I got a nice break on those. Thanks guys )
  15. I'm a LC June bride too. Nicole at Adventure Weddings has been great to work with. I've been to P.V. a few times and taken several tours with Vallarta Adventures (same company) and the crew has always been professional, punctual, and sooooo much fun. You won't be disappointed!
  16. Invite the people you couldn't imagine not being at your wedding. Feelings get hurt no matter what you do so leave out the ones you think are obligatory but don't need to see that day. If the ratio of your family to his bothers you just don't call attention to it, don't separate seating into "bride" and "groom", etc. And I agree, your guests social skills, or lack thereof, aren't your concern. Don't sweat the small stuff, it's your party!!
  17. That is so funny! I recently saw an episode of Bridezillas where the bride had regular weigh-ins for her bm's and at a rehearsal dinner she made them plates with teeny tiny portions, then locked up the leftovers in the fridge with a chain & padlock so they couldn't eat more - and she was serious! Some people are nuts!! That was a good laugh though, thanks.
  18. Kill...kill...kill....that chick is nuts! I would wait for her to go to lunch or something and go through everything at her desk. Maybe she already took them home though....hmmm....home invasion? Don't make me fly to Canada and tie her down while you rummage through her closets! Every office has one nutcase but damn that is sad!!
  19. Welcome, there are many Cabo weddings planned here!
  20. I never posted my invitations, sent them last month and am really pleased with the outcome. It looks red on my monitor but the designs/ribbon are orange and text is brown on a cream colored background. The pics kinda suck but you can get an idea:
