  1. You know I have no clue who they work with, but they seem pretty affordable and the flowers were gorgeous. I'm still in touch with my WC, if you like I can try and get the name of who they work with. Let me know and I'll give it a shot, I don't think it's a secret or anything )
  2. Amy, Vallarta Adventure Weddings included bride/groom flowers and I think 2 centerpieces in the package so I'm not sure what they would have cost alone. I also don't know who they are contracted with for flowers (not a lot of help, I know!). I can tell you what we paid them for additional flowers not included in the deluxe package: $30 flower tiara $20 wrist corsage for mama $25 per bag of rose petals $8 boutonniere $40 per additional bouquet (moh, bms, etc.) Hope that helps in some way )
  3. I've never seen an invitation done like that, I'm sure it will be gracing the doors of many fridges!

Didn't want to recreate the beef, I was just late to this and wanted to give my opinion since 8 pages of other people did. And if any of you plan to throw me a party, I'm not a fan of clowns either

I've been to weddings where they were super boring and watching the kids play was the only entertainment. Not to laugh at your pain, but I'm cracking up over here at the fact that a kid stabbed you in the foot with a fork!!! I guess that one got away from the watchful eye of the parents. Holy mother!! I get both sides of this issue, even though both sides got a little raw on this issue - damn! And I must stick up for the person whose choices were called sad, different isn't sad, it's just different from what you would do. We had 2 kids - our niece & nephew. Our other guests with kids left them home, we didn't have to ask them to either. They wanted a vacation without responsibility. If they had stayed home to be with their kids, good for them. Less people to feed & the day is about 2 people, the guests are a bonus. I wouldn't be sad. Children can bring an immense amount of joy to any occasion, but I've also seen some ruin the harmony of an otherwise pleasant function. Know your guests, how they handle their kids, and make the choice that is right for you!
  6. Love orange!!! Yep, bird of paradise is very vibrant. I had orange roses, my MOH's bouquet had some orange flowers that I can't identify, but a florist probably could:
  7. This is cool. Mine means magnificent beauty and passion...I'LL TAKE IT!!!!
  8. Good for you!! Do what you want to. This article gives great perspective, if you have a moment check it out: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...dal-blues.html
  9. I don't know how great they are, but I had these bookmarked until I found Las Caletas: Puerto Vallarta Catering, Event and Destination Wedding Planner Puerto Vallarta Mexico Wedding Planner and Bridal Consultants Vallarta Weddings By Lana, Worry-Free Wedding Planners and Event Coordinaters in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
  10. Oh Anny those are so beautiful!! You and your hubby are so cute. And is it just me, or do all of your girls look like freakin' models?? Everyone looks georgeous, and I love love love that they all had different dresses. So pretty!!
  11. Mine was $500 with free alterations, it came to $650 with tax and veil. I only wanted to spend $300 since I didn't plan to wear it twice. I honestly didn't care too much about the dress unlike most brides - I didn't set foot in a dress shop until 4 months prior to the wedding. If it was too late I was going to buy a white dress from Neiman Marcus - they have an affordable informal wedding section. I also didn't feel it was "the one". I went to one bridal shop and bought the 3rd one I tried on - same day. It was formal on top and beachy on the bottom so I said "that will do". I loved it the day of and it worked and I haven't looked at it since I came back...but I stare at hubby everyday )
  12. Have a fabulous Dominican Republic wedding and come back to tell us all about it. Cheers!
  13. Ditto to what the other ladies said. When I was there in August it rained every afternoon, like somewhere between 3 and 5pm. There were also beautiful thunder and lightening storms. We would just sit on our balcony and watch then go back out after it stopped. It is super hot then, maybe that's why people say don't go? But it's still amazing so no worries.
  14. Oh, it seems like last week we were there. You'll soooooo love it! That's one of the better beaches in PV proper too, take a swim for me!!
  15. I see them on my computer but that doesn't help you..lol Ok, 2 things we can do. If you see little red "x's" you can right click them, go to properties, and copy and paste the address to view them. Or I can just email them to you . . . let me know )

  17. Funny! Yeah, you know I looked at your pic and they look like different people. They probably are training a few people. I'll have to ask my brother if her name was Kelly or what it was . . . he disappeared into the jungle with her for awhile so I hope he got her name He disappeared that night with the girl you gave the starfish to as well...he had a great time at the wedding! Anyway

I was less than sober that day . . . heck I was less than sober that whole trip - I'm happy I remember meeting and talking to you and Paul!!
  19. I think one per couple is fine since you're doing so much else, save $$ where you can )

We've also decided to have a trio band and a DJ - can anyone tell me a little about who they used and how the music was? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Heather Oops I'm late on this. I was really hands off about the decorations, the only thing I brought were a few lanterns and favors. Other than that I told my WC that I wanted lots of candles and petals. You can do whatever you want, that's the cool thing. These LC weddings are all so unique. Here are a few table pics:
  21. That is a mystery . . . I was told she was Nicole's apprentice and my wedding was her 2nd . . . maybe there are 2 Kelly's?
  22. Welcome back sweetie!! Love what you did with the colors and umbrellas..and you look fabulous )
