  1. Sorry don't know much about her but I wanted to congratulate you on the major step of setting the date!!!
  2. Loved Limewire until it crashed my hard drive....ugggh! It was my fault though, I was getting literally hundreds of songs a day and didn't have the proper protection for my pc. It was like having unprotected sex with 60 men a day....lol....I should have know I'd catch something eventually. Now my anti-virus software keeps everything cool. Definitely block the sharing!
  3. You can do it, and what a great idea! I'll see what I can do for you on my end too )
  4. Oooh, also if you can get a copy of "Puerto Vallarta My Memories" there are awesome vintage photos and cool stories. I read the whole thing once & it's a great read, it used to be online free before they published it, but now you can order it: Amazon.com: Puerto Vallarta, My Memories: Books: Catalina Montes de Oca de Contreras
  5. My mom has pics she took the first time she went to PV in like the 60's....I can see if there are any specifically of what you are looking for and maybe I can scan them for you or something? She has a pic of the Camino Real (now Dreams) and she was like "I didn't stay there, for some reason I wanted to stop and take a picture". I said maybe you knew I'd stay there for my wedding (even though it was like 15 years before I was born...lol)
  6. Great link Heidi but are you trying to make me cry? LOL Vacation is not in sight for me right now ( Thanks for sharing.
  7. They aren't cheesy, but I also say give them out at a welcome dinner/event. That way everyone has a chance to meet and greet before the wedding.
  8. No way! I was there during those dates and saw a bunch of weddings, that was most likely one of them. There were a few large wedding groups hanging out around the Riu. And the jerk hut is soooo good, I second that. BBQ on the beach...everyday...mmmm

But it seems that everyone is looking for outside of the resorts and upgrades and whatnot. I didn't want to just let it go and then go crazy in 7 months when there is barely time ti fix it. Oh decisions, decisions. Don't fret, Morgan is right, it's all about how much control you want to have. My wedding wasn't at a resort, but I took a really relaxed approach to the set up. I didn't really know what the tables/flowers/cake were going to look like until I saw them on my wedding day. I could have been more hands on but I was more excited to be marrying Will than to care what color the tableclothes were. I basically told the WC I wanted lots of candles and petals and I wanted our ceremony to face the ocean, and I was thrilled with what I got. We even went for a site inspection which my WC loved because she said I was so laid back it made her job fun, lol. Some people have known how they want things to look since before they were engaged, some get inspired by magazines, in our case we knew the location was the decoration and anything extra was a bonus so we didn't stress over it. There is no right or wrong way to do it, so make it your own and do what you feel.

  11. I'm a music junkie. You can pm me with your email address and I'll send you some songs to listen to. Do you have a preference as far as fast or slow?

  15. If all of the desserts listed below were sitting in front of you, which would you choose? (You can only pick one!) This is reputed to be very accurate. Pick your dessert, and then look to see what psychiatrists think about you. Here are your choices: 1. Angel Food Cake 2. Brownies 3. Lemon Meringue 4. Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Icing 5. Strawberry Short Cake 6. Chocolate Icing on Chocolate Cake 7. Ice Cream 8. Carrot Cake No, you can't change your mind once you scroll down, so think carefully what your choice will be... Don't Peek! OK - Now that you've made your choice this is what research says about you... 1. ANGEL FOOD CAKE -- Sweet, loving, cuddly. You love all warm and fuzzy items. A little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice cream cone at the end of the day. Others perceive you as being childlike and immature at times. 2. BROWNIES -- You are adventurous, love new ideas, are a champion of underdogs and a slayer of dragons. When tempers flare up you whip out your saber. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of humor and direction. You tend to be very loyal. 3. LEMON MERINGUE --Smooth, sexy, & articulate with your hands, you are an excellent after-dinner speaker and a good teacher. But don't try to walk and chew gum at the same time. A bit of a diva at times, But you have many friends. 4. VANILLA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING -- Fun-loving sassy, humorous, not very grounded in life; very indecisive and lack motivation. Everyone enjoys being around you, but you are a practical joker. Others should be cautious in making you mad. However, you are a friend for life. 5. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE -- Romantic, warm, loving. You care about other people, can be counted on in a pinch and expect the same in return. Intuitively keen. Can be very emotional. 6. CHOCOLATE ON CHOCOLATE -- Sexy; always ready to give and receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. You can appear to have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to take chances. Will not settle for anything average in life. Love to laugh. 7. ICE CREAM -- You like sports, whether it be baseball, football, basketball, or soccer. If you could, you would like to participate, but you enjoy watching sports. You don't like to give up the remote control. You tend to be self-centered and high maintenance. 8. CARROT CAKE -- You are a very fun loving person, who likes to laugh. You are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you. You are a very warm hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many loyal friends.
  16. Well that's wonderful! One less thing to do now )
  17. Good for you Jaime! Never been to the other, but you'll love the Westin. And you're right about the beds!!!
  18. Okay Tammy and Maria save me a seat at your table one day...sounds great! 90% of the men in my family are Italian and cook their asses off! The women can cook too, but the men take the lead and the women let them, lol. My father is a chef that has cooked all over the world so I grew up with a mix of European cuisine and rustic southern Italian cooking (mama). In my home, I do most of the cooking. Hubby cooks when he must, but I've spoiled him with family recipes AND I really really enjoy cooking so it's all good. Don't we already have a recipe exchange here somewhere? We should revive it.

  21. The sombrero idea is really cute! Love it. We used a tortilla basket )
  22. Good for you Kate. Today I excercised my right not to excercise....lmao!
  23. Yep, I sent Drea a journal to go with the starfish and she got it today.....just in time for Cabo. I made the first entry since I didn't have one on my wedding day. They will be fun to read if we ever have a BDW get together.
  24. I found them through one of many google searches for beach wedding dresses. It was like page 13 of the search results...lol...they should advertise better because they really fill a niche for the casual bride.
