  1. WOW!!!!!! Looks like you have to change your status from waiting for the BLING!!! Congrats honey!!!
  2. Kelly that sounds lovely. For flowers what about a single orchid or stargazer or calla lily for each girl (maybe with a green leaf?) then for you, instead of a massive bouquet maybe one flower representing each child (5, right?) then 2 more for you and Everton. Damn that's getting to be a big bouquet, lol...well you could use small flowers like mini carnations or orange roses...ooh, I like those. That's what I would to to symbolize the blending of your families...but it ain't my wedding, lol. Whatever you decide will be beautiful. A few hundred dollars is definitely acceptable for the donation, I'm sure he would do it for nothing so really anything is good. The connection you have with the minister is awesome, definitely make the gift personal. If you have time, maybe you can get the kids involved in an art project.

I can ask them Monday if you haven't found out by then )
  4. I say do it outiside! Our wedding/dinner/and reception were outside in early June in PV which I'm guessing is waaaay more humid than Florida (the beach was surrounded by dense jungle). Our wedding started around 6 pm too. If you were trying to do a 1 pm thing I might suggest otherwise, but as the night goes on the moon replaces the sun and it does cool down. We also had the ocean breeze which helped. It was still warm, but nothing unbearable. With summer weddings you gotta expect the heat and it adds to the ambiance, really it does. You can have an indoor wedding anywhere but since you've chosen such a pretty locale I say use it to it's fullest potential. And have cold bottled water for the complainers )

  6. How sweet! IMO for cases like this you need a personalized gift, or at least one component of the gift should be. You can make anything you want these days, these always stood out if my mind but after my bm's pissed me off I didn't order them then by the time I wasn't mad anymore it was too late...lol Our Shared Memory Bridesmaid Frame "Best Friends" Photo Keepsake Box Friend Photo & Quote Canvas Art Sisters Wood Photo Frame I made shirts for my girls that they love, if you want to give her a few things: CustomizedGirl - Custom T-Shirt Design

You'll be surprised )
  12. I had a hard time with this too. So many cute bm dresses I looked at were impossible to wear if you have any real cleavage. Two of my bm's have little mosquito bites (haha) so they could wear anything, but my MOH is a DD and this one from David's Bridal was flattering and allowed her to wear a regular bra (sizes 2 to 26) : David's Bridal - Bridesmaids, Dress Detail

  14. Definitely. I give presents for bdays and such even when there isn't a party, I love giving gifts and wrapping them up all pretty, it brings me joy (lame I know)
  15. IMO the bottom on #2 is more fitting for a beach wedding, so pretty!
  16. I found a snippet of The Air I Breathe online....go here and click on track 14 on the left: CD Baby: TEENA MARIE: Passion Play
  17. Laura that is so cool that you used the Beatles and your son and attendant is Jude. Aww....yes drunken impulsive decisions are so the best sometimes. I'm sure it worked out perfectly! I love here comes the sun )

  19. You'll totally enjoy the drive. So funny that David tried to hide the announcement..hehehe..that's so something that Will would do. You have to check the outlets out though, you can get some steals! And yes, go to Calistoga it's so quaint. Oh, I feel homesick ( Those places used to be within driving distance...take pics for us )
  20. BTW I was with Pottery Barn before I went to Penneys, but their customer service irked me. I called twice to order enclosures and never got them plus the people that helped me each time were pretty crabby, so I cancelled that registry fast.
  21. We did Macy's, JC Penney, & REI. So far almost everything has come from Macy's. I will say the people at JC Penney have been the most involved - they have called me three times. Once to congratulate me on the engagement, once to see if I needed enclosures or a free wedding planner, once to congratulate me on the wedding...lol REI was basically for the husband and there is really cool stuff there too. If your FI wants a registry he can be involved in that is free from china and casserole dishes, check them out. There is also home depot, mine likes to camp and fish and stuff so REI was a better match. Hey - I'm damn happy you know the song! Most people know who she is, but not that song, it wasn't a commercial hit. Okay now you're my BDW music twin

Specifically our party was at Nikki Beach @ the Westin PV which is stunning - white beds and white pillows all over the sand. They also have these elevated canopy beds that are sooo cozy, it's an awesome place. I've heard good things about their Sunday brunches but we didn't make it.
