  1. Never been to either but I would recommend Agave Grill just based on having worked with Bill (the owner as mentioned above) to set up our WD at Barcelona Tapas. He's very involved in his restaurants and the quality of food. The night of our WD he came from Agave Grill where he was making sure everything was running smoothly, then came and introduced himself to all of our guests individually. You won't be disappointed with anything he is involved in ) And yes, the view at Barcelona is spectacular!! If you have any questions about having your WD there I'd be happy to help!

  3. Yes!! Thanks for the bump. Will and I are free these Saturdays: 8/25 9/1 9/8 Preferences anybody?
  4. I agree with Maria. I received a wedding invitation once that had a separate sheet saying where the couple was honeymooning, how much it would cost to do everything they wanted, and links to where we could help pay for it (tours, massages, dinners, etc.). I think those are known as honeymoon registries, but it really put us off. We barely knew them at that....if I'm paying for a vacation it's gonna be mine . . . LOL! Put it on your website. My bm's sent enclosures with my shower invitiations which etiquette says is the only time you should mail anything about a registry. Definitely register though. I was against it, my mom insisted that some people who may not know you well enough appreciate it. So far, most of our registry gifts have come from the people who give courtesy gifts but only know one of us (parent's friends). Close friends may choose to get you something outside of the registry anyway, but you'd be surprised at how many registry gifts you'll get just for having one.
  5. Yay!! I just ordered more too )
  6. Aww Kelly it was beautiful!! What a cute church but more importantly what a beautiful family and a special day for all of you. Have a blast at your big DR wedding )
  7. I had a slumber party too and it was a blast!! Also when we got to Mexico we had a co-ed bach. party at at club which was nice because we partied together. We've been together so long we didn't need the "last hurrah" night. I understand not wanting to do the traditional thing. I didn't want to watch a stripper dance for me when I could be home with Will (but I don't like strippers anyway). Our friends didn't get it at first but they went with it and we all had fun. Make it your own and you'll have a memorable occasion )
  8. They're gorgeous Tammy...well worth the wait. I love the shots of you two walking on the beach )
  9. I thought I'd share if you're trying to pick registries. . . We registered at Macy's, JC Penney, and Pottery Barn initially. Macy's has been great, Pottery Barn sucked so I deleted them and added REI which is good, and JC Penney has been outstanding. A few days after creating my registry a JC Penney rep called to congratulate me (I think I got a card too?). They said my enclosure cards are on the way and to call if I needed anything. They called again about 6 weeks later to ask if I needed anything and ask how the planning was going. They called after I got married to say congratulations. Then they sent me a one month anniversary card with a coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase. If you're looking for another registry I recommend them for service alone. They also offer a free wedding planner kit that you can pick up in store. JCPenney: gift registry

When I was 17 the police busted me skinny dipping on a camping trip, took us back to our campsite where there was smoking/drinking/drugs/underage sex/oral and who knows what else...lol They gave us breathalizers (which 12 of us failed) and after I failed mine I snuck away and got my camcorder and taped the whole ordeal. It was hilarious to watch after!! The tape got destroyed in the Hurricane Katrina floods a few years ago ( I guess it's better that my kids don't see that anyway..lol
  13. Not me but I always wondered why not. It's tropical plus legal ceremonies must be a cinch!

  17. I don't even own eye liner now. The last time I did it was a pencil but not a good quality one. I'm so not used to putting on eye makeup that my eyelids were sore the day after my wedding from having someone put eyeliner on me! So sad (

I only bought expensive stuff thinking it would give me skills but I wasn't good at it and I stopped. I can line the hell out of my lips when I'm feeling saucy though!!
  19. I'm excited too Karen and I'm not even going! Take pics cause you know we'll bug you until you post them. Have a blast!!
  20. Yay! You guys let us know what you think when you get it. I'm no pro but I think the quality is comparable to the $15 lip liners & gloss I used to get at Nordstrom's when I was high maintanence in high school...lol I'll be excited to see how you like it )

Thanks! Holy smokes!! That's insane. What city/country are you getting married in? Maybe we can find you faux bamboo or something similar to what you want. Our chuppa cost like $175 and was real bamboo:
