Here are some good guides of gay friendly everything if you're going outside of Dreams to hang out. I found them when I was looking for a restaurant we used to go to called Cafe Bohemio. If you have time, check it out. It's in the romantic zone (old town) in a little square, owned by these 2 guys from S.F. who are the sweetest and will sit down and talk with you (and give free shots!) I was going to have my WD there but couldn't work it out in time. gayguide Vallarta - Gay Puerto Vallarta Guide Puerto Vallarta Gay Travel Guide - Gay Hotels Beach Bars Cruise Clubs Shopping Restaurants Photos Doin it Right in Puerto Vallarta - Gay Friendly Puerto Vallarta
  3. I've seen you in the LC threads but welcome again!!!! I'm so excited for you guys, everything will be perfect!!!!!
  4. Honestly I was 100000% at peace. True my WC handed me a shot glass 15 seconds before I made my appearance (and that was after margaritas, champagne, and shots prior to that) but I was so ready. I spent the day at Las Caletas swimming/getting massaged/napping/and just being with my girls. A few hours before the ceremony I laid out on a hammock up in the hills overlooking the emerald water and I wrote my vows. It was incredibly relaxing. When I made my way down to walk out, I ran into the gm's who were waiting for us and my "song" started to play. That's when it hit me - this is it! I felt freakin fabulous, no nerves, no jitters, just a perfect peace in knowing this is so natural and so right. Sounds corny but it was true, the only thing I felt besides peace was excitement...I couldn't wait to see the love of my universe waiting for me at the edge of the ocean. It was magical, a strange calm that I didn't expect to feel because I thought all brides freak out at the last minute . . . I think I watch too many wedding shows..lol We hadn't seen each other in like 11 hours so I was dying to see him. When I finally did, and got to the end of the aisle, we kissed each other which felt normal to us, but someone later said we weren't supposed to kiss until the end....hahaha....nobody could have stopped us )
  5. I think about 50% and it was really annoying. I didn't even get one from my MOH or a few bms because they said I knew they were coming. MOH said she wanted to save it. It sucks when people don't participate and you've spent time selecting your invitations and stuff, you want to get that card back in the mail. I think it's a little tacky not to respond with a yes, no, or maybe when someone has taken the time to invite you to any kind of event. So frustrating!
  6. I also say wait for the location, that way people know where they are saving the date to go to. If you want to send something now maybe you could say the month/year you plan on rather than being stuck with a date in case things change.
  7. What a nightmare! There is no reason she she be invited to a work shower, your mom gets that, it's nothing personal. It sucks that she's sick because now there is this thing where you need to be respectful of what she's going through and may not feel as free to tell her she's a loon. She was wrong for shouting and you and trying to make you feel bad. I see one redeeming factor, however, and that is that she mentioned she felt bad. Even though she hasn't said it to you, it proves she isn't probably isn't completely soul-less like some evil FMILs are (or else she's really warped and is lying to her son). It still seems she has some petty qualities and I hope her son can help to work out those kinks )
  8. It hard on doctors (not that I'm crying for them) but because they are essentially symptomologists sometimes all they can do is take what you're saying and match it to common conditions they are aware of. Often it can be one of many things so they just play the odds and sometimes go with what they typically see a lot, thus the reason some people go in with 1 complaint and end up on different meds until something works. I've had what you're experiencing a handful of times. It's so crazy - doubled over in pain about to go to the e.r., then 5 minutes later feeling fabulous, then 20 minutes later severe pain, etc. In my case I've always attributed it to gas and have noticed the times it happens that I've been eating poorly for awhile. Have you ever done a cleanse of some sort? Maybe you just need to detoxify and things will process better. If you have access to a naturopathic/homeopathic doctor in your area maybe he or she can evaluate you to see what can be done without side effects of medications.
  9. Perfect..outside it is. And valet for sure...thanks for pointing that out Amy, parking is a biotch there!
  10. Here ya go: C&O Trattoria 31 Washington Blvd Marina del Rey 90292 Phone: (310) 823-9491 Welcome to C & O Trattoria Online FYI there are 2 C&O's on the same street, so make sure you go to this one, at the end of Washington by the water/venice pier. The website has directions. For you, Drea, it's straight up the 405 to the 90. It shouldn't take you too long, well at least not on the way home...you know how the 405 can be in the daylight even on a Saturday...lol Should I make reservations inside or outside? The outside patio is super cute...the weather should be good plus they have heat lamps.

    Hello!

You'll love Dreams PV. Happy planning )
  12. Welcome Davina! You Riu Ocho Rios brides are on the rise - I love it!! Don't worry about being behind, I planned our Mexico wedding and Riu Ochi honeymoon in about 9 months. Everything works out and you can always count on us for advice and support )

The next day I walked into Macy's as an afterthought and found my AHR dress on a clearance rack. It was just what I wanted. It was oringinally $109 cut down to $19!!!!!! Then at the register it was cut down to 16!!! From 19 to 16. 19 to16. My Grandma was born in 1916!! So I figure she found my dress for me. I wore it to our wedding dinner in Mexico as well. Karen that is awesome! That was definitely the hand of your grandma. Go grandma! She found you a hot dress and saved you a load of money!! Everything looked awesome...and I saw your candy grab bags on the table...too cute )
  14. Welcome....back! I honeymooned there and you'll find I have way too much input on the Riu Ocho Rios threads...lol Love that place!! Happy planning )

Yeah me too...strange. How crazy that your floor caught fire...lol I thought my dress was going to catch the votives on the dancefloor a few times, that's where my change of clothes came in handy! When the fire dancers were all up on us some of my guests were really nervous, you can hear my aunt on one of our videos shouting "that's dangerous". My bm later told me she put so much hairspray on my hair she was scared my hair would catch fire....lol
  16. Your FI sounds like us..lol I did not have the palm arch so I'm not sure if it would obstruct the view. I would think you can still see the ocean pretty well but the view would may be slightly limited? The chuppa we ordered was the most basic one they offer, with no extra flowers or anything so it was wide open. We had a killer view.

There were no thatch mats on our dancefloor, it was never really discussed so I'm not sure why it turned out that way. At the site visit Nicole did ask if we would be dancing and I said our group was the dancing kind, so maybe she did away with them because she knew we would dance a lot? Our dancefloor was covered in that roll-out fake grass kind of stuff (I wonder if that's what was under Ann's mats?) It didn't budge at all so if you still want to do a routine, ask for something like that )
  18. Aww, we'll miss you Jessalyn. I'll make the reservation as soon as we get the final count . . . so far I think it's 6?
  19. I went to a Mary Kay party as a favor to a coworker and was dreading it, but I had a good time. I ordered the Satin hands and Satin lips which are really nice and leave your hands and lips super soft.
  20. We had nowhere near 80 guests but I can help you with a few of your questions. My bridesmaids and I did have spa services the day of the wedding. It is very inexpensive and I highly recommend it. I had the 1 hour aromatherapy massage which was awesome. Dancefloor is an elevated platform type thing, I guess made of wood? It is a hard surface though. We did not hire the DJ, but they did end up doing some DJ work anyway (for free).
  21. Yay you two!!! I hope you enjoy, the quality is surprisingly good )
  22. You are absolutley glowing in those pictures girl!!! Congratulations, gorgeous ring too!!
