Is it 6:00 because things are booked or they just don't do receptions until the evening? If you have no choice I would turn it into a really unique day. You may have to change out of your wedding clothes though, but I think taking a dip in the ocean with your guests, having some drinks, etc. would be really fun. Then you all shower up, change, and get ready for dinner. You would have a whole wedding day as opposed to a ceremony and reception that lasts just a few hours. Plus, how many people can say they got married then all the guests put their swimsuits on and frolicked in the Carribean ocean? The Riu has a catamaran they take people out on - maybe you can arrange to charter it for an hour or two of sailing to kill some time. I have a picture of the catamaran, let me find it . . .

Heidi all you have to do is steal a sign, propose to someone, and get stitches and you'll have done it all!

Natasha, maybe we can do a dinner in San Diego sometime. (like I need an excuse to get a hotel by the beach for the weekend..lol) We'll miss ya this time! Girls, shall we plan to meet in front of C&O's between 6:45 and 7 p.m. on Saturday night? They won't seat our party until we are all together. And remember Drea since you've never been, it's the one right by the beach & pier, you'll pass a C&O's on the way down Washington but if you don't see the ocean it's the wrong one so keep going )

Light gold sounds really pretty though, and unique for a wedding. I really like it! BTW I never knew there were so many shades of white! (cloth not skin)

No, I didn't message him back. I almost wrote him back but it would have been really sarcastic/mean and like Maria said, he could have taken it as me wanting attention for getting married. We were really close for like 3 years - like he would be at our apartment when we weren't type of close - then we moved far from each other and don't keep in touch as much. I don't need his validation or anything, I just think if I were in his shoes I would at least feel guilted in to giving the obligatory "Hey, I heard about the wedding, I've been busy, etc.". But no, and it's okay. He's doing his band thing so whatever. But no messages from me and I think I'll delete him from my friends list.

Oooh Stephanie I love it! And it won't be snowing then so you'll have a nice outdoor area to work with too. Very cool, and a great decision ) -
Those are fantastic pictures! Beautiful place )

Will and I have a mutual friend that is in and out of our lives, but since we've known him for 7 years we wanted to invite him to the wedding. He didn't reply to emails/voicemails about getting his address to send the std so we took him off the list. I found out from another friend that this guy mentioned we were getting married so clearly he got our messages and never replied. Flash forward 8 months, I get this friend request on myspace from a band I don't know so I deny it. Then I get a message from the band written by our "friend" saying it's him, accept the request. I do. I get another message from him - not saying congrats or sorry I never got back to you, but saying this: "How you doing fam? Just wanted to stop by and check you out. As fellow spacers, we wanted to know if you could give us 60 seconds of your time to stop by our page, listen to our music and tell us what you think. We put a lot of our soul into our music so thanks in advance for stopping by and dropping a comment. Don't forget to sign the guest book and leave us a voice comment so we can hear what you're all about. Hope your day is going good and we look forward to meeting with you." WTF? We could have used 60 seconds of his time to call us back last year. We put a lot of our soul into our wedding, does he care? And he doesn't look forward to meeting with us or he would have by now. Isn't it just a little wrong to send me this generic marketing ploy without first even attempting to redeem himself? So selfish.
