  1. Jerzzygirl your local reception sounds like the most fun!! That's awesome!!
  2. This was made by the baker at Las Caletas. Tres leches, super moist, ultra creamy frosting (coolwhip-ish but tasted real), and was soooooo good. We didn't do any prior tastings and it was probably the best cake I ever had!
  3. I guess that's good and bad news! I agree to talk to your TA if you have one. I know Molokai is small - what about private rentals? Good luck ) I found these in case you haven't checked availability there yet: Marc Hotel Molokai - Molokai Hawaii Hotels : Pleasant Holidays Molokai Hawaii Condo Molokai VRBO® Vacation Rentals - Molokai Hawaii Vacation Rental Condos, Homes Kenanikai Hawaii Time Share Club
  4. I love #1 but I think #3 really pops and will work better if you plan to monogram different items (like bags, favors, etc.). Good work!
  5. Okay I'm bad with resolution and am not sure how to tell if it's high, but between my guests and myself we have lots of pics without us in them. How can I tell if they are high resolution?
  6. We did cd's and wrapped them up all pretty. We had labels made with our wedding site as the background and our names w/the song titles. Every song was one played at the wedding so the idea was that when people listen to them it will remind them of the day.
  7. Thanks for this Tammy. Kash, Amy, and I are out of harm's way. Drea is closer but I don't think she is in danger (except for bad air). PlayaNovia I feel so bad for your friends ( One of my friends stayed when they told him to go. His stable caught fire from an ember and he had to put it out because firemen weren't available. If he left it would have burned down. Some people don't have that option though and I pray for them. I also pray that our firefighters get relief soon.
  8. We took a late night flight so we arrived in Montego Bay at 7am and made it to the resort around 10am. We grabbed some food and drinks and hung out. They had the room ready for us around noon...maybe that was a honeymoon perk? We didn't have to wait long. P.S. I was there in June and the first 10 minutes of the road wasn't fixed yet. It was a tad bumpy, but some of those tripadvisor people are nutty! They complain that the ride is too long but you're in JA, the scenery is beautiful. Plus you stop for Red Stripe halfway through, it's great! We were still hungover from Mexico so if you're not it must be even better

  10. Unbelievable. Send it. If FI doesn't want to I don't know - do you sneak behind FI's back to send it and meddle in his family affairs or do you not send it and perpetuate the rift? Maybe when FI cools down he'll agree to send it and be done with it. The ball will then be in the other court and it will truly be out of your hands. So sorry, sometimes family cuts the deepest (
  11. Whew, good! Well not good because someone still has his info, but good that the phone call wasn't fraudulent. I forgot you were in Philly...I guess that's why the detective didn't come to your house...lol
  12. I wish I had more, sorry. Maybe someone has other angles, but that's really what it looks like. I passed by it during the day when the side door was propped open and it was still dark. I think it's painted that way. It's a club (as opposed to a reception hall or restaurant) so it's got that dark nightclub vibe to it. Not pitch black, but like a club. We really enjoyed the place. Maybe we are freaks but we prefer dancing in the dark to dancing under bright lights...lol There was a cool disco ball that made everything sparkly )
  13. Jessica you read my mind! It is odd that the police would call for a matter like this (as opposed to an in-person or mail notification). Did you get his name & badge number? Did the detective ask him to verify any of his personal info over the phone (address/name/social/etc.)? I hope not because who knows if it wasn't the scam artists calling to set up the scam. Either way, you should go in person to Atlanta PD and confirm this. Better safe than sorry. Best wishes in sorting this out )
  14. Love the dress! And the shoes...so cute. If I wore shoes on my wedding day I would have wanted something exactly like that!

  16. I love that flower clip! I got a sparkly clip in an antique type design from Target. The one I was at had a huge selection of hair clips and I paid like $6 for it, I think the brand was Goody. It wasn't fancy but it was really cute.

Some people used curling irons and we all used the extra towels!! Soooo glad we brought those, a set for swimming and a set for showering )
  18. I can tell you precisely - 5 minutes and 35 seconds. That was the length of the song I used to walk down the aisle to and it literally ended on my last step, right next to Will. Pretty cool that it worked out that way, I didn't plan it...lol I walked down from the spa and waited out of sight before the music/ceremony started. There the groomsmen were waiting (also out of sight from guests). The song started and 12 people walked out ahead of me, I met my father at the bottom of the stairs and proceeded to the end of the aisle. You can use a longer song, 2 songs, or just pick up the pace if you want everyone to get there faster.
