I forgot to mention I put those in our OOT bags and some people mentioned they found them useful.

  5. One more thing, I forgot about the locks. There are TSA locks that aren't as easy to pick, and TSA agents have a key for them so they can inspect your bags without you having to get your key out. My friend's cousin works at LAX - horror stories if anyone's interested. But I've heard through them that the luggage with the fancy locks usually signals that something really good is inside and thieves want to know what it is. Even airport staff have been known to break the locks to get what's inside before your bag even gets on the plane. Just do your best and hope it doesn't happen to you )
  6. Swapping memory cards is a great idea! All we travel with is clothes and a camera. As for the camera, we never leave it in the room even if we aren't going to use it. If swimming we take the camera and leave it on our beach chair, as concealed as it can be. Probably not much better but at least it's not totally out of our sight. I guess I feel like if I'm on a boat with 50 other people, we jump off and snorkle, and come back to find my bag/camera is gone I can narrow it down to that group of people rather than anyone at the whole resort. It isn't 100%but I feel the odds of recovery are better with hubby interrogating everyone on the boat rather than dealing with hundreds of possible suspects at a resort. Most people don't get robbed but some people do, we just take what precautions we can just in case. Hubby wears a waterproof moneybelt. Yeah we're geeks....lol
  7. Not too simple at all! It's beautiful and very classy. LOVE the crystal/beadwork. Great choice!
  8. You're beautiful, love the cut! Citysearch is a great resource. I found an amazing stylist there too (sinfully expensive but that's another story). Anyways you look hot )
  9. First I would like to thank my job for enabling (and paying) me to be here so darn much, my hubby for understanding I'm married and still here, Time Warner for the roadrunner connection....hehehe OK seriously it's flattering and thanks a bunch guys! All the nominees are awesome )
  10. I think it looks really nice. More than the pain I'm worried about getting something I don't like later. I change my mind like my panties...lol When I get it together I will share too )
  11. I really agree not to bring anything of great value if at all possible. You don't need a laptop or costly jewelry (other than wedding jewelry). Try to keep anything fancy with you at all times. Don't leave currency in the safe and have your man wear a money belt. They are inexpensive and well hidden. It sounds silly to go that far, but we have never been robbed at any resort. There is never anything other than clothes/toiletries sitting in our room. The hotel staff aren't getting paid a whole lot of money and if a situation presents itself some people might go for it. That's just the way it is so travel safe )
  12. Haha..cute pic of your doggy Leia. BTW cute siggy pic too. I'm from the Bay (live in L.A.) but it makes me want to go home )
  13. How awful that their stuff got stolen last year! What a great cause Amy, I hope you find what you are looking for )
  14. Beautiful Susan!!! I love the group and aerial shots. How exciting, you got them pretty fast!
  15. ROFL! I have more than a handful myself but hers make mine look like mosquito bites They did a funny episode of Southpark where they made fun of them and Beth was all toppling over. Those outfits don't help either!

But the moment you see/hear/read things in society, you KNOW people find it offensive and regardless of what your personal beliefs are, you know to NOT say them. So if you say it- you pay the price, and well you should!!! I once got a traffic ticket in a town where I didn't know the city laws and the officer told me "ignorance is no excuse". That's how I feel about this kind of stuff. I agree with you Maria. If you grew up isolated you may be brainwashed and suffer the ignorance of your parents, but unless you're chained to the furnace - for goodness sake get out and open your eyes. Tell him the Dogs coming and to be scared." And then once the guy was caught they would go into this Christian talk about having faith and believing in the Lord. $50,000 sounds more accurate, I thought $15k was a little low. And yep, although I used to watch the show the way they would posse up and talk all that trash then pray as a group before and after was always unsettling to me. Sometimes it is the very outwardly religious and preachy types that are far from Godly while the truly Godly live lives that demonstrate their faith without having to preach it. And all those times he had his African-American minister on the show....wow
  17. Yep, they are saying he betrayed his dad by selling the tape to the Enquirer for $15,000.

  19. That was a dirty trick! And there I was staring at it trying to see if I was genius.....you got me. Good one )
  20. From what I read on other news sites, I *think* his son/the girlfriend recorded the call. Apparantly the girlfriend is around Dog & Co. and has become aware of his use of the word and he was nervous about her wearing a wire or selling it to the enquirer. I guess he wanted his son to break up with her because he knew if it got out - like it did - there would be no redemption for him. I don't know if you guys listened to the audio but it was disgusting. Maybe the son called to set him up? I'm sure more will come out in the days ahead.
