OMG my brother and I were on Romper Room when I was little (don't know if that was Cali only?). It was a kids show you could be on for a week, anyway my parents have the tapes and the old commercials are hilarious! The snoopy's dog house commercial is on there and it makes me want to be a kid again..."you can have a lot of fun at snoopy's doghouse"....that was the jingle. Good times!

Okay I was born in '79 but I had a lot of this stuff in the 80's. Some of it was probably hand-me-downs from my older cousins, but I did have a banana seat bike, metal roller skates, read Judy Blume books, totally did shrinky dinks, and loved slip and slide! And I used to LOVE Solid Gold...lol What about Lite Brite and Snoopy's Doghouse where you could make snow cones? Anyone remember that? (maybe it's 80's)

There are too many TAs out there to settle for one you don't like or feel comfortable with. If you walked out of there confused and/or angry then find another one. Like Kate said there are some here. If you feel your guests want to handle things in person then look around your area and walk into some offices to see how they feel. Anyone who won't sit you down, listen to what you want, and explain all options clearly should be avoided. They stand to make money off of you and your group so don't give it to someone you aren't happy with. I'd be happy to recommend the 2 I work with but they are also online/via telephone. Dang - why didn't I pay attention in science & math....I could have invented it myself! LOL They do have tiny cameras that can go in anything nowadays. You could put one in a book on the table, sunscreen, they'll do anything you like. Not sure how economical it would be but it would totally work. And I wouldn't even show the hotel the tape myself, they may come back and steal that too. I would catch a cab right to the embassy and get them to mediate.

Lisa that is so sad ( ON your wedding night at that....makes me want to get one of those hidden nanny cams next time so if it does happen I can take the tape to the Embassy.

Jules how sad is that! I hadn't heard of that, just awful ( Most of us go to tourist areas for our weddings. I think that people who live and work there see tourists as well off because we can afford to travel when travel is a luxury for many people. It doesn't always happen but it doesn't hurt to do anything in your power to prevent theft.

You know what? I like it (with top part evened off). I love the way it drapes. If your colors include gold it will really accentuate them. It's definitely worth an in-person look to see what you think. I like dresses that don't look like every other dress out there, and this is very unique.

I think Kelly (Dragonfly) gave her OOT bags out prior to leaving for the wedding. I forget exactly how that worked. We sent our invites in April for our June wedding, but had sent std's asking for a rsvp in September and a reminder to rsvp in November. I don't think Dec. is too early because either way most of us end up having to track a few stragglers down for an rsvp.

Yeah then I definitely say go green, it's really cute!
