  1. I love lillies, they come in different types and colors. Maybe you could mix some white in too, that would be pretty! star lillies
  2. What a lovely getaway! Glad you got some peace ) P.S. For many of you guys snow on the ground is no big deal but seriously I've only been in snow twice in my life! Never been in a winter like I see on television...I want some swiss miss and malt-o-meal...LOL
  3. Totally, all the good clubs are like 5 minutes from the marina so you must be prepared to par-tay straight off the boat!
  4. I hope this is your best year yet...enjoy!
  5. That's a fabulous story and a gorgeous ring ~ congrats to you both!
  6. Nice! Also married in PV: Seal and Heidi Klum - I'm not sure who planned it but it was at his villa there. Mario Lopez & Ali Landry were married at Las Almandas near PV, although the marriage dissolved pretty quickly thereafter.
  7. I didn't see any children the time we were there, but I'm thinking they would allow it since you've rented it for your reception.
  8. Mismaloya is gorgeous! One of our guests stayed there and it is a little far, but not much further than Dreams. I think it is nice to be removed from the hustle of town yet a short cab ride away. And you'll cruise right by it on the boat to and from LC, so you can take pics from the other angle. Great choice!
  9. I agree, don't wear them. It's not a shoe kind of place. We were barefoot as were our BMs and GMs. Nicole (WC) told me she had a bride who insisted on stilettos and she pulled it off - akwardly. If you must I would suggest a wedge over a heel, but don't be surprised if you get there and decide to scratch the shoe idea )
  10. Welcome to the forum! It's refreshing to see more Hawaii brides, happy planning!
  11. It's really not that ludicrous, I have heard of resorts that do this. If you may have your wedding there some places will comp things for you. (Just like Galit said) Call the ones you are interested in and try to make a deal. As they say, closed mouths don't get fed. If that fails and you aren't fussy, try a hostel: Hostels in Puerto Vallarta - Book Online at Hostelworld.com
  12. Those pictures took me back to my wedding day at Las Caletas, even our tables were similar. Your photographer got some of the better pics of the layout that I've seen so far (casita, dinner, etc.) Our LC brides-to-be will ove them too. Thanks so much for sharing and congrats )
  13. Welcome ) I have not been there but this bride is marrying there, maybe she can help you: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...rta-bride.html
  14. This was our cocktail hour playlist, as you can see our taste is all over the map! It set a great vibe for the night to follow. We did all our own music so if you need more suggestions I have playlists for dinner hour and the reception too. Mariachi Vargas - Cielito Lindo Pedro Fernandez - La Bala Gypsy Kings - Moorea Stevie Wonder - You are the Sunshine of My Life Frank Sinatra - Fly Me to the Moon Sun Ra - Dreams Come True Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 - Mais que Nada Tommy James and the Shondells - Crystal Blue Persuasion Joss Stone - Are You Diggin on Me Diana Krall - I Love Being Here With You Tony Bennett - The Best is Yet To Come Frankie Beverly & Maze - Happy Feelings Sergio Mendes feat. India.Arie - Timeless Chaka Khan - Papillion (aka Hot Butterfly) Carlos Santana - Black Magic Woman Grover Washington Jr. - Soulful Strut
  15. We spent a week in Puerto Vallarta then flew to Ocho Rios for another week. Then we got back to L.A. and had another week off of work so it was the best 3 weeks ever . . . then back to reality ( I gave my wedding dress to a cousin to take back for me. If I had to I would have taken it to JA but it would have been such a burden....glad I was able to pass it off.
  16. Do all VA plates have that confederate artwork on them or is that by request for veterans? Just curious, never seen that before!
  17. aspirin, bottled water, energy drink or one of those energy vitamin packs, lubricant...lol
  18. I think it would be pretty tough but I didn't try so maybe not. My mom and aunt pressed some leaves from my bouquet between the pages of books and didn't get caught bringing them home...lol No bouquet to preserve but I have some for a shadow box or other prject if I ever get around to it!
