Good to know, thanks )
  2. We did our own music because we were particular about what songs we wanted played, but a steel drum band will rock and I say go for it! Our wedding was in Mexico and we didn't get a Mariachi or Salsa band because we see those often where we live, but a steel drum band is less common and totally festive. Maybe you can hook the Ipod up later at the reception and have it both ways?
  3. I recommend Irie Airport Transfers & Scenic Tours. They service Ochi, Montego Bay, & Negril. Ask for Peter...not sure about rates for where you need to go. If interested: 876-368-5960 [email protected]

  5. I hear you, this is my first forum and I've snooped on a few others and they are not pleasant. This is a good place....welcome )
  6. Those are awesome hot stuff!!! My fave is the one against the brick wall with your jeans undone....love it! Your honey will go wild when he sees them! Great photos (and tattoo)!
  7. My WC told me she had someone insist on wearing stilletos and it was very akward. I was barefoot (wedding party too) but heels would have been difficult and uncomfortable. Toes in the sand is a good feeling - especially on a tropical beach on your wedding day.....can you maybe save the heels for the reception?
  8. YES!! I never tire of LC stories and pics. Every photographer gets a different perpective, it's so cool to look at. Great pics!! (the color in #29 is awesome!) You were a beautiful bride and everything looked as perfect as ever there. Thanks for sharing! P.S. We had a full moon too....it was a nice little treat from the heavens
  9. The disco at ROR is really, really fun. It is on the dim side because it is a disco and, you know, they don't make clubs bright. I still think it would be a great place for a reception. But, it only works for people that like to dance/party like that....people who just want to relax and take in scenery would probably rather be outside. The disco will be private and you won't have onlookers/people not invited in your path. The other places will. I think if you have a dancing crowd the disco is a good choice, besides the beach doesn't close and you guys can always hang there after the disco. That's my 2 cents because we had a ball at the disco while at ROR. Great music too!
  10. Um, yeah I knew that....haha Well it was too far for me then too
  11. Great offer....but too far for me...I'm sure you'll have no problem selling them!
  12. Heidi that's really cute! I don't know if I have a wishdasher to put my stove in so I may not be able to make these.....hehe
  13. I included a few photos of our site on the page that described the day's events. I think it got people excited. But I guess you don't need to because they'll probably just google the location anyway if they're like most of us...lol
  14. I'm with the others, it's not a Mexico problem (although I can see why it would seem so if it only happened to you there). It may be an American Airlines problem if anything. I hope you still decide on a DW, you won't regret it )
  15. So cool! I'm glad you went with the fish pendant in the end, much more universal and stylish than the traditional starfish IMO. They'll love them!

  17. I asked for hand cancelling and the postal lady said "sure". That was that, I have no idea how they arrived since I didn't send myself one.
  18. Welcome to the forum! And I love the name Sonnet )
  19. My girls are too big for those, or at least I've never found any that aren't a waste of money! There must be a brand that works well...I bet someone here knows.

They had mini red velvet cupcakes at DH's company party this weekend and they were topped with fresh whipped cream and a mint leaf. Yummy and festive.
  21. I've only been to Oahu but I have heard many times that Kauai is the most beautiful of the islands.
  22. I used a Macy's garment bag under the white plastic one I got from the bridal shop. We hung it in the first class closet on the plane. You can call ahead and ask the airline but chances are it doesn't matter - the person you speak with is probably in a call center far from the airport you'll be flying out of. They'll tell you closet storage is on a space available basis. There is also a captain's closet you should be able to use. If all else fails you can lay it flat across the luggage in the overhead bin. The humidity the day of my wedding took care of the minor wrinkles in the dress )
  23. I enjoy the holidays and the events that take place so I take part in everyone's everything. Full on dinner, desserts, and cocktails. And the treats that go around the office, and the Christmas tamales, etc. If ever there is a time to skimp - for me - it is not the holiday season. If you've been going to the gym you may as well keep going...but if you want to take some time out from the gym it won't kill you. 2 weeks of eating and excercising poorly is a drop in the bucket if it is balanced with months of doing well. Just get back at it when the festivities pass. Don't beat yourself up over it )
