  1. Apparantly they have quite a following, you can order them online at 6 cookies for $9, not including shipping! I love them but not that much...lol I came across this recipe and tested it out and they were almost as good.
  2. I'm the chilled out one, just do your job and don't start any fires and I'll let you do what else you want...lol The daytime ones are tight asses and would have someone fired for trying to break rules...haters!

I'm debating on telling my staff that because they always run out of quota time....it may have to be a "you didn't hear this from me but..." thing because I'm sure IT would not be pleased if I spread that around!
  4. I voted jacuzzi suite because it rocks. If the money isn't a factor then I say why not? If you'd rather use the money on something else there is nothing wrong with the other 2 options. Keep in mind you'll spend a lot of time out of the room too.
  5. The top tier made it to our hotel room, we ate some with our hands in our drunkenness, and left the rest. As Ann showed it is possible to get it home but you may not want to eat it, not sure how long cake stays cold enough to not spoil before you get it to your fridge at home )
  6. We got our GM guayaberas from Beach Wedding Attire | Guayabera, Guayabera Shirts, Havana Shirts, Mexican wedding shirts, Hawaiian Hubby got his guayabera from Guayabera Shirts: Beach Wedding Shirts | Guayaberas, Linen Pants, Boys Linen Shirts, Mexican Wedding Shirts.

Hello - there are people below you! Rude ass bastards!!
  8. Yep, my job uses websense which restricts some sites outright (like myspace/live streams/etc.) or allows quota time for approved sites. I can't even look at vitamin sites because they are prohibited under "unregulated compounds". Astrology is filtered out under "occult and folk religions". LOL Each employee gets 180 minutes a day in quota time to use the allowed sites. Lucky me, I'm a supervisor so I have several log-ins and never run out. Even luckier, BDW doesn't count toward quota time for some reason so I'm good )
  9. Another great group of nominees...congrats ladies )
  10. Nothing compares to the original but these come close. Perhaps the best cookies I've made. If you can get Ghirardelli or See's chocolate chips they are even better ) 1/2 cup rolled oats 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1-1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. lemon juice 2 eggs 3 cups semi-sweet, chocolate chips 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts Directions: Grind oats in a food processor or blender until fine. Combine the ground oats with the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Cream together the butter, sugars, vanilla, and lemon juice in another medium bowl with an electric mixer. Add the eggs and mix until smooth. Stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture and blend well. Add the chocolate chips and nuts to the dough and mix by hand until ingredients are well blended. For the best results, chill the dough overnight in the refrigerator before baking the cookies. Spoon rounded 1/4 cup portions onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Place the scoops about 2 inches apart. Bake in a 350°F oven for 16-18 minutes or until cookies are light brown and soft in the middle. Store in a sealed container when cool to keep soft. 11. Wow Christa that sounds fantastic! Thanks!!
  12. I made these last night...they were a breeze to make and came out really good!
  13. You guys these all sound so good! Any pasta that starts with garlic and red pepper in olive oil is heavenly. Add a little pasta water and you can stop right there...we call that aglio-oglio. My comfort food Alfredo is so good, and that is a great recipe! Trisha our families sound very similar...the bacon pasta your mom makes is like the amatriciana, just using bacon instead of pancetta. I make it with bacon sometimes too, and you're right, it really is to die for! Gotta try it to know! Everyone makes sauce in my family too, heaven forbid anyone be caught with jarred sauce in the pantry. I have fond memories of the whole family spending the day making sauce and fresh gnocchi, omg so good! Thanks for taking me down memory lane )
  14. These aren't as festive as the others, but are made to hold rings and come in several colors: sombrero ring holder, Jewelry Boxes Supplies, Jewelry Watches items on eBay.com fenton ring holder, Glass, Pottery Glass items on eBay.com
  15. Congrats to all the terrific nominees!
  16. I just saw it this morning....she really does look great and good for her! The media was really giving her a hard time before, just like they did Kirstie with the "look how fat she got" photos.
  17. Uggh...sorry things have been so hectic ( Where there's a will there's a way so I know things will pan out the way you want them too. Sending hugs and stress-free thoughts your direction to help you through the rain. Hang in there!!
  18. Absolutely beautiful! Was there really nobody there or did people clear out of your way? The location is just awesome!!

  20. I hear you on the mall thing! I always feel bad because it's their job and if nobody stops then they don't sell their trinkets, but at the same time if I were at the mall to buy whatever they are selling I would have sought them out...lol
  21. At the stores here they sell a single drumstick or turkey leg that has been cooked and smoked, usually near where the bacon is. Really yummy flavor!
  22. Never been to those but I bet they are as fabulous as they say!

Welcome to the forum. We have some great male members here! Happy planning )
  24. That does seem like a load of sugar, but as you say, Paula knows her stuff. I've seen her use an entire stick of butter on some grilled sandwich! LOL Melissa do you have a Trader Joe's there? They sell greens prewashed and cut...they have a collard/mustard/turnip green mix that is soooo good! I think in Florida you should be able to buy collards at any grocery store.
