That's no stock photo! I'm quite sure LC wouldn't sell their pics for other venues to use as theirs, I think they are too protective of what they have to do that. It bothers me because this is another legitimate (I think?) business. Shoot the resort has top ratings on Trip Advisor, that's how I found the site in the first place! If it were a personal website and the pics were decoration it would be one thing, but to advertise weddings and put a pic of another country....that's like the Plaza Hotel in New York saying "we do weddings here" and putting a picture of a wedding at the Hyatt in New Orleans.....wtf? I think I'll email Nicole for kicks

With pink I would do orange as well (but I am partial to orange). It really pops and is very tropical!

Love it! I'm not sure what tableware they use where you're getting married, but many places I've been in Mexico use cobalt rimmed glasses like this That would tie in really nicely with your theme.

I felt like Carrie, and when people asked what we wanted we said "You're coming to Mexico, that's enough". However, some people feel a wedding deserves a gift whether it's here or abroad. You may not be able to avoid it so I say just be gracious in these cases. My mom urged us to register for people who give the courtesy gifts and don't know us well enough to know what to get us (like parents' friends for example). We did register and many gifts we received from the registries were from these people.

If it is one too many events let them know it is too stressful for you and make them work it out. If you don't mind all the partying I say embrace it, their intentions are good...and you could always have the opposite problem of nobody wanting to do anything for you. As for guests, hmmmmm.... The ones that are in the same circle of friends will know about both anyway, so I guess give the same guest list for both. I think my only concern would be like yours, I wouldn't want people thinking they need to come to each and bring gifts. Maybe you could contact invitees outside of the circle (email is easy) and give your disclaimer. Something like "My dear friends insist on throwing these events for me. It will be great to see everyone but I certainly do not expect people to attend them all or bring presents." There's a better way to say that but my brain is fried right now....lol Maybe someone in your bridal party can do that for you. You have a wedding coming up!

No honeymoon registry but we did Macy's, JCPenney, and REI. We had Pottery Barn but they pissed me off so I deleted that one and replaced it with REI. From my experience JCPenney's customer service has been the best, and Macy's has a better selection of the stuff we wanted.

My BMs were pretty good about asking what they could help me with but there really wasn't much since they live far from me, other than getting their dresses (which was a task in itself). They took it upon themselves to plan a shower, and otherwise hung back and waited for me to ask for help. My MOH actually bought a book on "how to be a MOH"...lol She was great about handling conflicts that arose so I didn't have to deal with them. Some of my BMs checked in once a month which is fine, but when you are on a 24/7 obsession it may seem they don't care. Most of them do. I agree that they may not know what to do and instead of asking they are waiting for you to ask them. Tell your party what you could use help with, chances are they care and feel honored to be asked, but aren't being proactive because the process is new to them too.

If you're driving I would also say try Sayulita or San Blas I hear is nice. Vallarta adventures also does awesome day trips to San Sebastian, Guadalajara, etc. Puerto Vallarta Air Adventures, Land Tours and Airplane Charters

Damn that's rough, so much went wrong so fast ( I can sympathize, when my grandpa was dying it was so hard to watch. He was 91 and also did not want artificial life support. I literally sat in the hospital every day and held his hand. His eyes were him but the rest was a man I didn't know....so tough. I went to 2 other funerals the same week as his. I say this to tell you I really know your pain, and eventually it gets better. Spend as much time with her as you can, even if she can't talk she knows you are there. We're all here for you )

I missed the monkeys too ( Anyone check out the little John Huston museum? It had cool pics of Liz Taylor in PV and his personal stuff. My mom and I checked it out on our site visit, it was interesting. So the bed, it is up one of the jungle paths. I only found it because we're explorers and on our site visit went looking for places to take pics at our wedding (2 days later). We layed on the bed and nobody passed by the whole time (trust me *wink*). I don't think it's on the map and the tour groups mainly stay by the water so they don't venture that direction. My photog shoots at LC all the time and said he never knew it was there...lol The view kicks ass during the day especially, when the water is emerald...ahhhhhh We took most of our pics there because it was so comfy and cool...here are a few:
