  1. Oh I love Light Blue! My mom started wearing it not too long before the wedding, so I didn't want to smell like her...lol Otherwise it would have been a contender for sure! I've never smelled Bright Crystal or Romance but I'll check them out!
  2. I'm against the grain on this one (surprise..lol). The perfumes I always wear remind me of old times, old people, sitting at work, etc. I guess we wanted something that only reminded us of us and that day. We both got a new scent for the wedding, and didn't wear it/smell it on eachother until we met at the alter. Now, every time he wears it I am instantly transported back to that moment. It's like a little gift every time he puts it on...haha They say scents evoke the strongest memories.... Mine was Vera Wang, the orginal wedding scent (she has like 4 I think). Hubby wore L'Homme by Yves St. Laurant. Both very light and happy scents. Good luck!
  3. No problem! Tim is the boyfriend of my friend Erin, so as long as you say Jamy he'll know me. (but not as starchild...lol) The dresses were actually "burnt orange" although they look more red than orange in certain light. They are from David's Bridal but the style has been discontinued ( I got the 99cent natural colored totes that are on the home page. They were fine for our purposes. Not thick, sturdy canvas, but they are still very durable and cute. Would you believe I don't know if I have a pic of the finished bag? Let me scour through my photos, if not I can take a pic of a bag I saved.
  4. Great tip on the vinegar, thank your mom for me! And I'm so into laundry that I have my set products and don't accept substitutes. If I don't have my Suavitel it's a wrap. I once walked 8 blocks in the rain with no umbrella to get Suavitel becuase I needed to wash towels...lol So my friend, you aren't alone in your obessessions!

You have fabulous taste...lol Thanks a bunch, that is great information!

You're in SoCal, right? My friend's boyfriend owns a screenprinting company in L.A. He did our OOT bags, it wasn't a photo, but our monogram. I don't know if a photo costs more because of the multi-color, but I think ours broke down to $4-5 a bag (2 color print). It was really fast too, vibrant color, etc. We provided the bags we got here: Promotional tote bags custom sizes and styles from cheap totes If you get a quote, tell Tim Jamy referred you: Sunday Print Co. - Custom Screen Printing

  9. Is anyone else amped that American Idol resumes next week? Jan. 15th and 16th 8PM/7CST for anyone not as obsessed as me ) Simon says - BostonHerald.com
  10. I'm not familiar with that RIU. We honeymooned at the RIU in Ocho Rios (JA) and thought it was fabulous. I bet someone here has better info for you. Happy planning )
  11. Very cute and perfect for your theme!! I need to start a scrapbook. I saved random things from our wedding and honeymoon that I meant to scrapbook. Thanks for reminding me to get on it!!

That's so true! They wouldn't be marrying us thinking we're hideous and hoping we lose some weight in the final stretch...lol
  13. When I started I knew everyone here pretty quickly, now posts are popping up daily by people I don't recognize...lol Pretty amazing! Welcome to everyone, and I'll try to keep up with all the new (and old) members! Thanks for everyone's participation!!!
  14. Ooh, North Shore and the Dole Plantation, good ones Nic! Beautiful places. If time allows, try to visit Kailua and/or Lanikai (they are adjacent to one another). Absolutely beautiful beaches, and there are surf shops where you can rent boards/kayaks/etc by the hour or day. There are tiny islands you can kayak too off of Lanikai, the water is very clear and pretty. You will feel a world away from the hustle of Waikiki, but it isn't too far of a drive.
  15. We stayed at ROR and tipped just because our service was great, but people who didn't tip seemed to get the same service. There were a few vendors on the beach, but the ones who didn't work for the hotel didn't hound you. If you crossed their path they offered what they were selling, but wouldn't you if you made money by selling things to people who can afford to go on vacation? The only vendors we found who would disturb us while laying on the beach worked for the hotel, and were trying to get you to buy photos they take of you. We were "warned" not to go outside of the resort by some Americans, but of course we did..lol. Like Shenmaat said, we seek the local flavor wherever we are. The best day of our trip was spent with a man we met who took us to St. Ann's Bay where he lives. We had a blast - mostly on foot - in places where there were NO tourists, at all. People welcomed us into their homes, we went to a healing spring, so many awesome things happened that day. The most genuine, positive, and kindhearted people I've met so far in my life, I met in Jamaica. Just keep in mind that people with their hands out aren't out to get you, they are out to eat. No means no, they speak English )
  16. In Waikiki there is a lot to do, it's the busy area. Lots of restaurants, shops, clubs, and people...lol I've never taken any tours there but I'm sure they have plenty. Are you renting a car? Driving around the island will be really fun, plenty of gorgeous, less crowded areas to be found. Fun!
  17. You kick ass Jason! I forgot all about this thread, just found it again today. I was hoping you'd be back...lol I'll look into ADO, thanks!
  18. I agree that a break was good. You'll get right back in the swing of things, we'll help where we can )
  19. Well I'm not a Mayan bride but I would choose the salmon tartar, beef filet/seafood with chili sauce, and the chicken breast. Although everyone may not like the idea of raw salmon, so maybe I'd go with the puff pastry shrimp over the tartar.

  21. LOL In her interview she said the alcohol was pomegranate flavored, and she drank it and it was awesome.
