  1. I just had to tease ya.....in fact my friend is engaged and hinted to her dad that he should pay for stuff, and he said something to the effect of "you could afford to move out of my house and into an apartment to have sex with Brian, so you and Brian can afford to pay for the wedding" LMAO! We would have had our LC wedding with or without help, but the help was a treat. Also, I noticed many people received large amounts of money from parents after the wedding....we did not. So maybe it all evens out in the end, a gift is a gift )
  2. Absolutely gorgeous dresses! I'm sooooo glad they already have them, I remember you stressing about this awhile back. Good for your BMs for taking care of business!
  3. Fabulous review! I'm looking at your pics and your wedding kicked ass! That is one of the most fun weddings I've ever seen. Parading through the streets followed by mariachis and your guests? Now that's a Mexican wedding! You were a beautiful bride ) What fun!! Kudos to Jill for the great shots!

Hmm...you can probably buy one at a bridal shop but they sell them online and I'd bet it's cheaper even with shipping: FULL LENGTH WHITE BREATHABLE GARMENT BAG 4 WEDDING GOWN Breathable White Garment Bag - Scarletts Closet Sample Sale
  5. I think it is very pretty, and I can never tell the difference between a dress that costs $2k and one that costs $200....so I wouldn't look at it and know what a steal you got! Good for you

  7. The salon told me to bring my wedding heels to the fitting. I said I'm not wearing shoes at the wedding and they were like "what do you mean?!" LOL I guess they don't handle many DWs... So they based the alterations on me being barefoot, and I told them I was wearing barefoot sandals (you know the beaded things) so I wanted my feet to show slightly. I changed into a white sundress midway through the reception and stayed barefoot in that too. I was barefoot the whole time basically and it felt fabulous! I had white flip flops but didn't wear them until I got on the boat to leave.
  8. Aww Lizzy I'm so happy for you all! We love having such a proud mamma here and don't forget that you don't have to leave once she is married so we expect to see you around ) Have fun and take time to enjoy each moment!!! Safe travels )

Yeah on 4th street to 101, I made sure all my doors were locked and didn't stop. (Did CA. stops lol) Scary at 12:45-1am in the morning So when are we meeting next I once got lost leaving a club downtown and ended up on skid row. I've never in my life seen such a quick change of scenery but I know why they call it skid row....it's a row of makeshift houses in the midst of tall buildings. Like permanent residences....I was in awe. Anyhoo, glad you were safe. We need to get Kash and Amy out to dinner again, even if just for a BBQ at a park/our house. Ooh, they have bonfire pits at Dockweiler beach and at Huntington Beach, right? Maybe we could do something like that. But soon, for sure!

Darn we should have taken a pic. of that lol. We did have fun, beautiful hotel.... Also I got lost and drove through downtown LA (the shady part) after I left you guys at the on ramp....lol, missed the 110 freeway, because I was on the phone....Got home safe though. Dude, that 110 split comes up fast with little time to change lanes, so it's not you. If Will didn't pull an illegal lane change we would have took the scenic route too...lol The 101 in that area gets grimy fast...at least you didn't have to get off! We took the 101 to the 110 to the 105 to the 405....did you just take the 101 to the 5?
  13. If you email CM and ask them to convert the images for you, maybe they'll do it for less? They did monograms and I had the same issue as you, but the company that did our screenprinting converted them from .pdf for us for free.
  14. Me too....we'll make it to the rooftop one day We wanted to go to the top of the hotel where they have a rotating cocktail lounge, but the elevators were crazy busy. Catherine said it had been taking 1/2 hour to get upstairs...and they have several elevators, but that hotel was busy!! So we opted for a bar we could take the stairs to...lol

  16. It's starchild but I think that's hilarious....I'll be starfish Okay it looks kinda nasty but damn it was good!
  17. I can't see the pics ( I know what you mean, time flies! I brought those rice paper sheets to blot the oil and left them in my luggage in the casita so they did me no good for the pics....lol I bet the new color really glows by candle light, but I agree it doesn't matter what color it is when you're there you could care less!

  19. That's bizarre but if I got attitude from a vendor for any reason I wouldn't put money in his/her pocket. Good luck!
  20. Oh wow! I don't know which I like better, you on the horse in the water or you flipping your hair...beautiful, all of them!
