I use vanilla flavored soy milk for my coffee & any cereal I eat. I've been using soy milk for like 10 years. However, I am also a cheese freak! Isn't that weird? Wow, moms really went the extra mile!! LOL Cow milk makes me phlegmy too, even ice cream does it, not cool And yep, gotta keep the cheese even though it makes no logical sense...lol Quote: Originally Posted by JaimeLynne The hormones in milk today are horrible. My little cousins are the same way. Their bodies are mature beyond their years and it's scary when a 12 year old stops traffic, you know? They grew up eating cereal and cows milk every day...coincidence? Quote: Originally Posted by JackieB I read the same book. It's so unfair that you can get a double cheeseburger for 99cents and a healthy sandwich or salad will cost you $5+. It's no wonder poorer people tend to have worse health, you know? I quit drinking cow's milk this year, and it has changed my life. I recently starting using Almond milk for my cereal. It is sweet, but very good. It's healthy for you too. I buy it at whole foods. I just bought almond milk as part of my taste test but I haven't tried it yet. Quote: Originally Posted by redwards I have heard that too many soy products are bad for you. I too have come across articles about the dangers of soy. Some people list it right up there with cow's milk, white sugar, white flour, and honey as far as foods that cause illness and various diseases. I've been off honey for a few years now too. I've never enjoyed the taste/digestion of soy anything so I think I'll let my body do the talking and stay away from soy.

Sort of a goodbye as their little girl...and thank you as an adult. Wow...good luck Yari! The whole week? That's a test of willpower for sure, and one that I would fail miserably...lol
  3. Omg Rachel the mailbox got blown up? I hope the kids were caught, the other pranks are bad but that's a dangerous one! Being the kid of the principal must have been tough at times

Cuz damn, this forum is all thanks to her and I am grateful everyday. Aww, you're too sweet Carly, but I already won a few months back. Thanks for the kinds words though ) I don't know if Tammy (host) is eligible (don't see why not?) but I agree with the nomination!
  5. I agree that the room category has nothing to do with the upgrade, and it is based on availability and discretion. U.S. dollars in the hand of the check-in attendant is your best shot if it isn't automatically offered...money talks and it will be far cheaper than paying the upgrade price
  6. It's gorgeous!!! And I love that it matches his eyes....too cute!!
  7. Haha Galit you are hilarious! Wine heals all, so yes, drink up and I bet it won't take long to remember why you hated her when you said those things...LOL Good luck, don't beat up FI too much. He was probably sticking up for you in a man-ish way, but you deserved a heads up at the very least!!
  8. Listen: YouTube - Snow Day in Fairfax Virginia Schools No-Snow-Day Question Gets Frosty Answer WASHINGTON (AP) — A student who called a school official's home to ask why the snow hadn't closed schools got a frosty response — and created an online storm. Last Thursday, the student, Devraj "Dave" S. Kori, 17, called the listed home phone number for Dean Tistadt, chief operating officer of Fairfax County, Va., schools, and asked why he hadn't closed schools after an estimated 3 inches of snow fell. Kori left his name and number, and Tistadt's wife returned the call. She apparently wasn't pleased, judging by her taped message, which Kori posted on a Facebook page. "How dare you call us at home! If you have a problem with going to school, you do not call somebody's house and complain about it," Candy Tistadt snapped in her message. She also used the phrase "snotty-nosed little brats," and said, "Get over it, kid, and go to school!" The message was also posted on YouTube. Kori, who attends Lake Braddock Secondary School, did not immediately respond to an e-mail Wednesday. He told The Washington Post that he thought he had a right to ask a public official for more information about a decision that affected him and other students. He also said his generation viewed privacy differently. But Fairfax County schools spokesman Paul Regnier told the newspaper that Kori's action showed a gap in civility. "It's really an issue of kids learning what is acceptable and not acceptable. Any call to a public servant's house is harassment," Regnier said. Kori told the newspaper he was called into the principal's office to discuss the situation, though he was not punished. Dean Tistadt told the Post that the incident has been "horrible" for his wife, but he said Kori had courage to stand up for his convictions. Calls to his office on Wednesday were referred to Regnier. The Associated Press left a message at one Virginia number listed for a Dean Tistadt; there was no answer at another number listed under the same name.
  9. Oh hell no!!! I would be livid that he did that too! In the end, it's good that the truth came out and maybe she'll take a look at herself and change some things, but it's going to take a lot of BS to get past it. What a pain in the ass situation....ugggh. Sorry Galit, like you need this right now!
  10. Some of my stuff wasn't ready when we did the site visit so I brought it when we went early the day of the wedding. That's fine too.
  11. I wore barefoot sandals and I loved them! Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and my hubby were all barefoot. IMO it feels and looks the best for a wedding on the sand.
  12. I'm no Cabo bride but for us, the per person alcohol fee was nowhere near as exorbitant as yours so it wasn't even an issue. Yikes that is pricey for drinks alone! Maybe some Cabo brides can chime in...
  13. Conchas Chinas is beautiful! Welcome to the forum )
  14. I use Prints Made Easy so I don't know, but these may help: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t7244 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t4345 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t10507

    Hey there!

    Welcome to the forum!
  17. I think these ladies both rock and contribute lots in different ways, so mine are: Mrs: Melissa (Raeka) for her sweetness & kindness Btb: Tami (foxytv) for her humor & great ideas
  18. I know of a reasonable one in L.A. but that doesn't help you. Are there online places? I've never looked into that...
  19. Dang! Hopefully some of the local girls can recommend somebody. Sometimes the best people are in the small shops without websites, it sounds scary but check the yellow pages for that. I once had a prom dress made by a woman who worked out of her home, and I heard about her from a friend who used her for quinceneara dresses. She showed me an album of her work, wedding dresses and all, and she was excellent. Maybe ask co-workers if they know of seamstresses too. Good luck!!!
  20. Ours was around 6:15 p.m. The sun is strong in Vallarta, where is your wedding? You could do it in the daytime with parasols, that would be cute. With the sun shining on everyone it would be hot but eliminate that and it becomes bearable. Good luck!
  21. Thanks for the review. You had some snags but it didn't stop the party. comgrats on the wedding!!
  22. Thanks! I hope he makes it to Canada one of these days
  23. Yep, Yelapa is near PV. You probably did take a tour there, I did too. It's really cute and would be a nice low key place to stay. I hear you on Malibu...lol It is gorgeous though, but it loses its charm when you are there often for sure! We like Leo Carillo for camping by the beach but you need reservations so far in advance that we only went once
