  2. It's something to consider. It works either way, but for me, the whole day of anticipation wasn't totally necessary. It's not like I wouldn't have been excited for our wedding if I was with him all day, you know? We're saps, so we miss each other pretty hard after just a few hours...I left him at 7:30 a.m. and didn't see him until the ceremony and it kind of sucked ass...LOL
  3. Mmm Kash those sound yummy! When my mom is trying to cut out flour she makes pasta out of grated squash and serves it with fresh tomato sauce. Not sure how many points that is but it is very healthy
  4. Morgan, definitely contact her local congressperson asap! My SIL applied like regular but 2 months+ later still had nothing. With our wedding closing in she freaked, and I gave her the number to the rep. for her district. She had the passports within one week after that! They work for the people so make them earn that paycheck! You'd be surprised what they can do!
  5. Don't send an std if you aren't 100% sure you will have the St. Thomas wedding. As a guest if I put down a deposit and you changed your mind I would hate you for awhile...lol Do send an std if you will have your St. Thomas wedding come hell or high water! Your guests need as much time as possible to plan for time off/money/etc. There is nothing wrong with eloping either....and it saves money!
  6. BTW Majahuitas is also beautiful. Vallarta Adventures does a day tour there so Nicole & Co. would probably be helpful in allowing you to do a TTD there. There is a private hotel on the beach so I'm not sure about the restrictions, plus with the tour I don't know how much privacy you would have, but I thought I'd throw it out there because it is gorgeous:
  7. Quimixto!! That's where I would do a TTD in PV. You must take a boat there. We went there a few years ago on a tour in search of a waterfall. We had to walk through 3 rivers to get to the waterfall (raging ones at that but that's a story for another time...lol). You can also rides horses in for a small fee. Anyhoo, you would have the beach, rivers, waterfall if you're up for the trek, horses if you want, and the jungle which I haven't seen anyone do yet. Usually people do the standard beach/pool scene. Plus there are palapas and a beach bar to throw in the mix. Look:
  8. Jaime that's so cool! Fantastic pics, the lounge at the Mayan kicks ass! That is a great place for a wedding for sure! I'm even more excited for Amy's wedding now! She is going to have a fabulous time! Great review too )
  9. You don't think the men want pretty soap? LOL Yeah, stick with the tequila because the soap probably wouldn't ever make it out of the package!
  10. Could you start outdoors then move indoors to party later? Just a thought, it will be fine however you do it
  11. They sell mini tequila's at my meighborhood liquor store for $1 and Patron for $2 that I could send you...but Edna's advice is best and cheaper. Plus you won't have to lug them to PV!
  12. Welcome! You'll have a great time here planning your St. Lucia wedding. Congrats on your engagement )
  13. Welcome ) I particularly love the 2nd photo with the girl in the swamp looking scene!
  14. Cute pic! I think that's a nice idea. We like dancing and weren't nervous about it, but we didn't realize how long a song seems when you're dancing to it! We should have asked that they stop it short or something. I think it was less than 4 minutes but even on the video we always fast forward that part because it's boring....oops did I say that? LOL It's a great song but I think 2 minutes tops would have been enough, we talked through the whole thing anyway!
  15. If I weren't on good terms with my dad (or if he wasn't there) I would have walked down the aisle alone, or met him halfway. Nothing wrong with that! It's only as big of a deal as you make it )
  16. How cute! Jackson may be reading as soon as he can hold a book, kids are getting smarter as time goes on!
  17. Is there a space in amistad between the "amist" and "ad"? It could just be the font and the way they space those letters, just wondering... But I think they are gorgeous Amy! I love that you did a Spanish and English version, and I've always loved your colors. Great job doing them yourself!!!

I had just moved there and I thought it was funny that so many people didn't know what to do in weather because I lived in snow my whole life. When I first moved here in 1997 it was during El Nino, and it was crazy hot well into October then it rained for months, it was the weirdest thing ever. There was almost a hurricane bit it didn't hit the shore! I thought it was normal but it didn't really rain again until 1999. That was when there would be multi-car accidents on the freeways almost daily, I remember it well. It hasn't rained like that since, just spurts here and there.

  20. What part of Mexico? Happy planning
  21. Cool! We didn't do them either, we talked about it but our techincal "engagement" was pretty short so we just ran out of time! Have fun!!
