Ooooh...politics! That and/or a discussion on religion and we'll be hating each other in about 5 minutes time Well.....I'm not so sure. I'm one of those average people (or maybe not?) that doesn't follow public opinion too closely, though I do read up on who is involved and what they are selling to try to get a measure of how much evil they intend to propagate. I wish we could have 20 years of Bill Clinton, infidelities and all. He's the least outwardly evil I've seen in my lifetime. I was happy then. Hilary, I must say, is brilliant, but I don't know if I trust her so much. She's a woman and so am I, so that's cool (and historic) but I don't know if I like her as a person. Obama sounds good, and isn't as jaded as I think any of the other candidates (Republican too) are. But I'm sure if I dug deeply enough I wouldn't like him either. Hell if I dug deeply I wouldn't like anyone...lol When I registered to vote I didn't pick Democrat or Republican, but any candidate who has been riding with George W. these past years is automatically shady to me. Party lines aside - I'm not a fan of the leadership and turn we've taken as a nation. I'll stop now before it gets uglier....I pretty much like everyone in this forum. Our Canadian, Mexican, & European members must be laughing their asses off! Just vote for what you feel, depending on where you are it may not be counted anyway.....somebody stop me

Not sure how to handle this ...
starchild replied to AlmostMrsForbes's topic in Just venting or funnies
OMG! Almost the exact same thing happened to me. 2 BMs were supposed to room together, and like 3 months before the wedding one decides she and her boyfriend are doing really well and he's coming too. The more the merrier as far as we care, and I didn't even know about their rooming arrangement...until - BM#1 calls me and says BM#2 just screwed her, she is left out with anybody to room with. BM#2 calls me and says how dare BM#1 put this on the bride, they haven't booked yet and she can take whoever she wants. They didn't talk for like a month, cursed each other, the whole 9 yards. Mine were good friends, we've all known each other 10+ years, so I told BM#2 to suck it up and pay the difference. They hadn't booked yet, but all intentions were to book together. I also offered BM#1 the option of rooming with other single female guests who were looking for roomates, but that didn't fly. It's a long drawn out story, but in the end BM#1 takes a girlfriend and BM #2 takes her man. The girlfriend BM #1 takes turns out to be a total troll. She was the only friend who had last minute $$. We met her at the bach. party in Mexico and immediately banned her from the WD and wedding. She stayed at her hotel while we got married because I didn't want that face within sight on my wedding day OR at our WD (she was most evil, trust me). BM#2 brought her man, who was really cool, and a blast to be around. They made up about a month before the wedding, in the name of not ruining my day, so all's well that ends well I suppose. But what a stupid ass situation....I sympathize -

I don't think they showed her audition But that's okay because they don't show all the good ones, got to make room for the weak people for entertainment value! I just listened to her myspace and yeah, she is really good! Does she write too? Fingers crossed for her, she will be a force to reckon with this season... I can't wait for the real stuff to begin )

I have to start using that term. I think Q & Dawn are cute and obviously D Woods & Robert will not be getting together. And I don't wanna see Aubrey with Donnie at all. I'm trying to figure out how I can get Donnie home & not have FI notice. : ) LOL! I loved when Diddy said that too, too funny. Yeah Robert had to take a step back, and it seemed that he "got it" when they went to church. I hope he stays humble and gets his voice back! Quote: Originally Posted by JessicaLovesBrian I agree. And it's not like she's the most talented in the group, just the most market-able, you know? When she was picked a lot of it was because of her look and her dancing skills. Her voice isn't bad, but the others can sing circles around her, so they don't have to whore it up and act like they are the sh_t, because they naturally are...lol

Did you bring your kids??
starchild replied to MRS.BANKS's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Unfortunately, especially with joint custody you will need to get written permission from her father to take her. (can you imagine if you didn't? one parent could take the child across the world without the other's knowledge, and maybe not return). Do you think her dad will cooperate with that? It would be great for her to go but the logistics of who will watch her are tough. Is your daughter real excited to go? So sorry you have to sort this out right now -
That's why I love it here...just when I was thinking I don't know how to help you, Amy and Rachel come in with first hand experience. I hope you feel better soon )

My parents went through this but it was in the 70's and I'm sure lots has changed since then! Definitely ask Melissa (Raeka). Good luck! -
Not yet but I'm waiting for it! I loved her at first too, but this season she is irksome. Like full of herself at times and generally annoying...lol

Omg me too....I tried to spread it out so it wouldn't be like the same 4 people...maybe I should try Alyssa's method and stop thinking about it so hard!

Love love love all of them!!! #1 are gorgeous and what a steal! Who cares if you change your mind at that price! Is orange one of your colors? It was mine and those are the coolest shade. -
Me too Christina...I have a few people for some lines and narrowing them down is tough!

Drama last night! It seemed to all get sorted out in the end....btw does anyone else think that Aubrey jokes around too much when everyone else is focused?
-
That blows! I hope the rest of the day is much better....and I agree with Carly - indulge in something yummy, you deserve it!

Me too Carly! In fact, a new employee walked up on me and caught me by surprise while I was BDW-ing. She goes "Oooh someone's getting married". Um, yeah I'm already married, long story, and stop staring at my screen weirdo! LOL

Please help me, I am a wimp!
starchild replied to amandalovesryan's topic in Just venting or funnies
Eeeew! At my job when one of my support people isn't doing their part, I talk to them about what they need to do and what they aren't doing. But there comes a point when I involve my superiors if their behavior continues. If you aren't comfortable talking to her directly (and depending on protocol maybe it isn't something you are supposed to address anyway?) what about telling your boss about her behaviors and asking that they monitor her themselves? Your boss shouldn't go and say "Amanda said...". Personally I think that is unprofessional, but, if you know your boss will then present it to her in a way that may make her refrain from bringing you into it. Can you tell them that you want to ensure that it isn't a personal problem you have with the lady, so you would like them to see if they notice the same things? What she is doing cannot be acceptable behavior, right? If she is told that you mentioned this, and it gets worse, shouldn't someone step in? I don't know how hospitals work and how staff is evaluated. I have come across a surly nurse or two but never pursued a complaint. As a co-worker it would drive me up the wall. That is a totally unacceptable standard of care! -
Hi Nanci, we love the moms!! Welcome to the forum )
