  1. Gorgeous design and colors, and the logo of course is great! Love the meaningful heart! DH works for stamps.com and they get tons of orders for wedding stamps. They did ours too plus a stamp of a wedding photo for the thank you cards. It's a fun touch )
  2. No problem guys, the only bad thing is now I have way more places I've never heard of and must visit!
  3. We were considering the Windjammer for our anniversary trip, and the scenery is stunning. It gets great reviews online, and it's a give-away trip on Regis & Kelly so it can't be bad...lol That's all I know but good luck!
  4. Omg we totally did a timeshare presentation in Vegas. We lied to qualify because we had time to kill and the prizes were good...lol It lasted about 3 hours from pick up to drop off, and our "salesman" was cool but we gave him enough no's to where he turned us over to the head shark who gave us the "only for you, I shouldn't do this" pricing. She got progressively aggressive. Finally FI told her to get out her wallet if she wanted us to have it so bad, and she turned downright hostile, but we got our gifts. $80 in free slot play, a $40 dining voucher, and a voucher for a 3 night hotel stay (which we never used). So get this, the slot play voucher was traded in for the gaming card, which we put in, played a few spins, and cashed the card out for like $75 in cash. We then used our voucher for beer and pizza...it was awesome and we went home with that cash You get your gifts but they work you with all the angles they can!
  5. We had to deposit $$ in the account of the owner of our WD restaurant. We had a contract and all of his contact info (name/numbers/addresses/etc.) but I guess you could say we went on faith. He did not accept cc for the deposit, and I think that is common for many smaller vendors. Maybe someone here has heard of your photog, but if your WC referred you I think that's better than sending $$ to a random person with no affiliation to anyone you know. Good luck!

Happy planning

I'm glad you made this decision without having to hurt FI...haha I also flooded my mom with emails & links when we chose LC. She loved it and I hope yours does too. It's totally your choice but it makes it way more fun when mom is into it. I don't think we've had a parent yet that wasn't wowed by the idea of LC, and when they get there they are double wowed! Let us know if we can help as you put everything together. Even those of us whose weddings are over are way into LC and enjoy helping others plan )
  10. One of my BMs used to work at Nordie's doing makeup so I had her do it. We kept it very simple because I don't typically wear make-up and wanted to look like myself. If it weren't for her I may have looked into hiring someone because I am so clueless on make-up! If it will ease your mind and the budget allows I say go for it!
  11. Heck yeah! Some of our guests used them on the dance floor too. Ours were paddle fans in orange/brown to to match the wedding colors, program on the front, poem and thank you note on the back. Any type of fan will be appreciated by your guests
  12. Yay! Hope you feel better soon. So cool that you got your pro pics already, I got mine fast too and it's a nice treat Love the siggy )gorgeous bouquet)& can't wait to see more!!
  13. That is funny Lauren! I see you have the same problem....let me know what you decide to do. BTW are you ready to go? You are on a serious countdown now! In a week you'll be married...how fun!!!
  14. True Mo, alcohol does kill germs...lol I've eaten at taco stands in Mexico where there weren't any other tourists & the guy taking the money touched the food (which is like a huge no-no, so they say) and I never got sick, but then I met a lady who did the same and was sick well after she returned from Mexico. So maybe it's all in how lucky you are? Or how much alcohol you drink...lol

  16. I think Costa Azul would be awesome. I guess the one restaurant thing would bother people, but it would be all of your guests eating there, not strangers, you know? It's kind of like renting a villa with a cook, it's the same chef the whole time you are there but it's all yours. I like that idea! Las Caletas was magical. Everything was perfect, and private. We stayed at Dreams PV which is also amazing (your guests complaining about quality would love Dreams). Our guests were scattered among a few resorts though. We told people to stay where they wanted because some thought Dreams was too expensive, some had timeshares, and some (like my parents who stayed at Velas Vallarta) went with their trusted TA's recommendation. It is tough to accomodate everyone. It's nice to try but in the end you have to go where you want to have your wedding!
  17. I've never been there, I just looked it up. It looks nice and if you could buy it out that would be great. It's in San Pancho...is your wedding in PV or are you thinking of having the ceremony at this resort? The reviews weren't bad either.
  18. My wedding is over but I still want to make Jamy & Will lip balm at that price, great deal! I may order them for fun...
  19. You bet! It's organized very well with links and all...have fun!
  20. This list is great, it's based on the reviews of TripAdvisor users. I recognized a lot of resorts that you guys have mentioned (and some I've been to as well). ROR is on the list of best pools in Latin America & the Caribbean...woohoo! The pdf was too large to upload here, you'll have to enter an email address to get access but it's worth it (plus you can just make one up...shhh!) Travelers' Choice Hotel Awards

Not sure if it's too costly to filter water in the guest rooms but the Riu didn't do it, and that's a major international chain. I'm not sure how they clean the dishes, maybe at a higher temperature that kills germs? Interesting topic!
  23. That pic is stunning Amy! I was wondering about the table tops too...besides saving you money & space on tablecloths, runners would accent the wood nicely (and allow the chairs to match?) It would totally mesh well with the rustic/natural feeling your resort has.
