  2. Hello Ladies! My name is Jessica and I am from Chicago. This forum has been so helpful to me! Sorry it took me a while to introduce myself but I have been so busy researching the wedding location and I am glad I have finally found a location. We have chosen Dreams CAncun and the date is November 4, 2007. Claudia is still trying to put together the wedding package so I can make a deposit on Monday. I have done quite a lot of research--looked at DR, Jamaica, Los Cabos, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Mayan Riviera, and it ended up in Cancun. Why Cancun? My family loves the beach and Jed my fiance and his friends have never been to Cancun. We have several singles in the party and the nightlife is impt. consideration too. If this were an adults only wedding party, I think I would have gone with Los Cabos but being able to enjoy the ocean is a very big factor for all of us. I like Dreams because they are quite experienced with weddings. Claudia is easy to work with. I am finding that the details (music, etc.) for weddings is more expensive at Dreams Cancun than Los Cabos. My photographer is Elizabeth Medina. After the big day I would be happy to share her photos too. Anything I can do to help please do not hesitate to let me know. Best to all!
  3. Hi! Here is the information regarding Azul Blue. It is an all-inclusive resort. The food is great but if you have guests from other resorts, you will have to pay almost 99 dollars I think for a day pass so they can come to your wedding. They also want at least 40 percent of your guests to stay at Azul Blue. I would suggest looking at Ceiba Del Mar. I like their wedding coordinator. Her name is Monica. YOu can e-mail her at [email protected]. The resort is not all-inclusive so they are not concerned about having outside-the-resort guests. This is impt: the resort is FOR ADULTS ONLY BUT THEY WILL ALLOW CHILDREN ON THE DAY OF WEDDING.
  4. This site has been so helpful to me. Thank you all ladies for the help! Thank you Edyta for your input regarding the DR! For those who are still looking to book a wedding site: Ceiba Del Mar is an ADULT-ONLY RESORT but WILL ALLOW CHILDREN at the wedding and reception. I posted this because it took me a long time looking for a wedding location that is beautiful and will allow children. Hope the information helps. Check out the website Ceiba del Mar, Puerto Morelos, Riviera Maya, Mexico. I am looking to get married the last Saturday of October OR First Saturday of November. I just e-mailed the WC tonight to get details of the wedding. Take care ladies!
  5. Hello ladies! I would like to ask the Cabo brides -- why did you pick Cabo San Lucas over Hawaii, Dominican Republic, Jamaica? There are so many CAbo brides on this website and I am just dying to know -- why Cabo? I am still deciding on a location and any help would be most appreciated!
  6. Thank you Edyta! I am also looking at the forum for Cabo and there is no need to send me infor regarding WC but thank you very much for the offer anyway. The airfare to CAbo or DR from Chicago is almost the same. I don't know why! Personally I like the Mexican people in general since most speak English and they are so friendly. I will be going to Cabo in April to attend a friend's wedding so I would be able to see the water at the Hilton Hotel. If you need anything from CAbo please let me know. I know your wedding is in May so you may have some last minute things please let me know. TAke care!
  7. Hi Edyta, Thanks so much for the information you provided. You looked very pretty in the pictures. I understand your wedding is in May in Cabo. I am looking to get married late this year (October) and I still do not have a location. I would love to get married in CAbo but I think the water may be too dangerous for the kids in our party. Of course there is always the pool so if it is so expensive at the DR we may end up doing it in Cabo too since there are so many wedding coordinators there that would make it a lot easier for me since my job is quite busy and I don't have much time to coordinate things. Which hotel did you choose in Cabo? And who is your wedding coordinator? Do you have a travel agent you can recommend? Once again thanks a million for your help.
  8. HI Edyta, We are looking to get married in Punta Cana. I saw your posts and since you have stayed there including the RIU I would like to ask you about the water in PUnta Cana. Are there undertows? Is it safe for children? We have children and elderly in our party. I also saw that you would recommend Sunscape and Paradisus Palma Real and Majestic Colonial. Which would be the best you think of the three. Lastly is there a travel agent you would recommend? And wedding coordinators in Punta Cana? Thanks a lot for your help!
  9. Hi! I have a question regarding Excellance! We will have children as part of our entourage but they will not stay at the resort after the wedding. Will Excellance allow this? Thanks so much for your help!
  10. Hi! So happy to be a member of this site. We would like to get married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this year. We are looking at May but I don't think we can book it this late. I am looking forward to sharing and learning a lot from all of you!
