The Ten Worst Wedding Reception Songs Of All Time
JulieG replied to ~Melissa~'s topic in Just venting or funnies
Alright, I am a die hard Pearl Jam fan, so betterman might be played at my wedding. It will not be our first dance song or anything, cause of its meaning, but its still a good song. I get why its on the list, cause it should not be associated with a wedding, but I don't care, its my wedding and I will play it if I want to. I agree with the rest of the songs though, in my mind, they are all terrible songs. I am not a JT fan though, but how could I be and be a die hard Pearl Jam fan. -

That is 3 nights in a row for me. I am not usually so hard core, but I only have 2 months and 2 weeks left and a long way to go before I am happy.

I have a bunch of sand dollar necklaces bookmarked but they all are pretty expensive. It would be nice to get them an assortment of nice little things. Yes, this seller has the necklace all the time and has lots of them. So, look him up and see what the bids are now. Or just email them like I did and they will give you a quote. I got them really fast as well, and I really really like them. -
Can lace dresses be shortened?
JulieG replied to mpark46's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My dress is completely lace over top and I am getting it altered. Its costing me a lot of money mind you, but it had to be done. So, it can be done, you just need a good seamstress and some extra cash. -

We keep going back and forth about giving each other anything. I do not want to do the boudoir pictures because what does he do with them after? Keep them in a photoalbum that he can't show anyone? I am just a little confused about that part, so while I think they look amazing, I don't think its really practical or something he will really care about. He is big into music, so I could get him some new instruments or something music related, but I can't bring that along, so when do I give it to him. I am more lost than you, so I am totally no help. How about you help me.

Post your wedding shoes

My dress has a rhinestone broche (sp?) on the side were the slit is so I am trying to blend eveything together. I will research and let you know what I find. You probably can not tell from the picture I posted above, but there are rhinestones on the buckle at the ankle and on the foot. Just an option, not really sure what you are looking for. I wanted wedge so I can walk in the sand in them. -
Bouquet - is it really necessary?

Here's an example with hydrandgeas - though I've seen them with other types of flowers as well. Roses are really pretty like this. It's on page 3, the first one on the 2nd row ( sorry I could't make it easier to find! lol!) http://weddings.theknot.com/gallery/...spx?gallery=20 Good idea, then no one has to hold it, it will just hang on your wrist, I think that would be really pretty. -
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh SO EXCITED!!!!
JulieG replied to Natalie Z's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
You want it to be perfect, so waiting for the perfect song is a good thing, that way you know it will be exactly what you want. So, its worth the wait. I will keep on checking. -

One of the sites was topearl.com Here are a few pictures of the ones I like for my BM's: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...rlnecklace.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...pearlgreen.jpg If anyone has any info on these type of websites please let me know. Thanks! I don't know anything about these sites, but I love those green necklaces. I think for under $5 each, you should just chance it. You could love them. If not, then you are not out that much.

Bouquet - is it really necessary?
JulieG replied to fogdog's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I personally want to carry a bouquet, when else will I get to in my life, never, and I love flowers. I do not think it would be weird if you did not have one, but really think about it, I would hate for you to miss out on something like that. I think your brother just needs a bout, and that is all, he should not carry a bouquet. lol -

Huh, that is pretty cool if he did not know they were fake. lol I will just tell them that I am pretty sure they are fake since I got them from ebay, so I can't guarantee anything. lol -

On my recent trip to NYC, I ate up all the knock offs. I never saw such a spectacle before. It was great, but then I felt like a tourist with all my black garbage bags. I say give it to them the way they are if you love them so much. But an alternative idea which is usually a really cute/inexpensive way to give a gift is go to a craft store and buy the recycled jewelry boxes. I spray paint them gold and used a gorgeous ribbon. If you have a stamp of your monogram, even better. I do not have a picture of the box or the little velvet bag, but I might be able to take one tonight. I think I might just leave them as is and just tell them they are not real. -

I'm getting so excited I can hardly stand it! FI thinks I look "too skinny" but he can eat it because I'm not trying to look any less than H.O.T for my pictures. I swear it's 50% for me and 50% for him. I will probably never look like this again in my life! I'm already planning on eating a fatty piece of chocolate cake or something else decadent after my pics! I'm not into rewarding myself with food but I will give myself a treat after working my booty off.....litterally! My hard work will pay off, I just know it! Thank you Amy, I am trying really hard, I really am. I am lucky though, one of my friends that I have known since highschool is my trainer, so I pay her a lot less than she charges her other clients, so that is why I can afford it and will not do it 2 times a week till my wedding. You are one to talk though, you are doing the best out of anyone on here, you exercise a lot, and its obviously paying off. That is awesome!!!! I say you eat the cake after as well, I know I would.
