Its perfect timing for me and the wedding (its kinda why she is doing it, 4 people who are either in or coming to my wedding are doing it with me). If this one goes well, I know she will do another one.

Just Bought My Dress!!!!
JulieG replied to PlayaNovia's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
It is sooo beautiful. I agree with you on the buttons, I hated them on the dresses I looked at as well. If there was something they were closing, then okay, but just sitting there, it looks odd. This dress is amazing though, I would have bought it with the buttons as well if it looked good on me. Congratulations. -
I bought my dress today (ebay)!

I don't know, cuz I really like the way it looks and I like it looking in the mirror, but I do hate the pics. So we'll see. I will check back in on Friday. My sister had a blinded by the price tag problem. I talked her out of it and she fell in love with the dress she ended up buying (for not much more) and was so happy I made her try on more dresses. Go and try on lots more, not just 2, try on lots and lots, even ones that you do not think will look good on you, you might surprise yourself, I know that it was happens for most brides, they have an idea in mind and fall in love with something else. Also, tell the store that you need to take a picture and you will not buy anything till you know how you look in the pictures and you have to love it. DO NOT FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!! I hope you find a dress you love both on you and in pictures. Good Luck -

Umm, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you don't like yourself in it in the pictures, then it probably does not look so good. Photographers can work some magic, but not make you go from hate to love. So, I don't think you should keep it. You will have lots and lots of pictures taken of you in your dress on your wedding day, and you need to love how it looks or you will regret it forever. I really think you should send it back and look for a dress that you love on you right now. Not if/when you lose weight to make you happier, RIGHT NOW!!! This way if you lose weight it will only look better, and if you don't, who cares because you love it on you RIGHT NOW. Does that make sense? I just want you to be happy and not regret your choice. And I think $350 is a lot of money to just spend on something you will never wear. -

I have all this time off work but hurt too much to get stuff done!!! Had to cancel my shower and bachelorette party it would have been saturday.. Are all these warning signs the hurricaine, surgery... hmmm Thanks girls for your support and suggestions! It really helps! I feel better about going and spending time with everyone there! Water is really over rated anyway Why cancel your parties Can't you just take lots of pain pills and sit most of the time? I think you will be sad later on that you did not have them. Can you re-schedule them? They are not warning signs, it will all work out, you will see. As for a letter, I know other's have precedents you can use, so I will let them post them. Mine was not that great, kinda crappy really. I write too many legal letters that is sounded to professional and not fun. But, I was stressed and sent it anyway. lol -
I picked it for my Best Friend to use as her first dance song, lol so I can't use it as mine. FH does not like it anyway, thinks its cheesy. I think its beautiful.

Why not wait a little while. Do not rush and decide now, you have the rest of your lives to decide if you need it or not. Think on it and maybe in a year from now you will decide you want to do it. I say don't spend the money doing it now if you are not positive you want it and will look at it. Does that make sense? If in a few months you decide you really want it, then do it then.

I thought about getting a really good blowout with a flip at the bottom, but I'm worried it won't hold in the heat/humidity. ooh, I like this though, with a headpiece or flower, whatever you are wearing. But if you want an updo, I think you can so almost any of them. I really do. Bring a bunch of pics and let the hairdresser there tell you what you can do. I am sure she will come up with something great that you will love. -

They really do not need much hair to do an updo with. So, I think you should be fine, if you want an updo that is. -

Ummmm ladies, why has no one posted in here in a long time. We need to get our butts in gear and work out. I started my boot camp last night. I think its going to be a lot of fun. I found it kinda easy, but that is because it was the first night, she was being nice to us. lol I know tomorrow night is going to be a lot harder. I can't wait to get more of this weight off before I go.

Cancel my trip?
JulieG replied to Heligirl's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I agree with everyone. If you really can not go in the water at all, then just make the best of it. Do not cancel, you will not be happy about that. Just go and smile and do all the other things they have, there are a lot of things to do besides go in the water. I hope you are better from your surgery and it was not anything too serious. -
