I bought my dress today (ebay)!
JulieG replied to boscobel's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Here are some things I found when I did a search. Lazaro Bridal House of Brides (I am sure someone on here used this site) eBay Store - Your Dream Dress: Lazaro: AUTH. LAZARO 3553 COUTURE BRIDAL DRESS GOWN 3.4K AUTH. LAZARO 3361 COUTURE BRIDAL DRESS GOWN SZ 10 - (eBay item 270162583506 end time Sep-14-07 19:45:48 PDT) -

I did return the ebay dress. The store that I bought it from claims to have over 4,000 sample dresses in stock, so I told her that I am interested in any Lazaro she has. We shall see. The only way I can afford the Lazaro from the salon is buying the sample (40% off), and there is another girl interested in it. This has been my #1 dress for 8 months, so I am so tempted to snatch it up before this other girl, but I am trying to hold out to see if I can get a better price... Hmm, RB Bridal doesn't have Lazaro listed. I will search other sites as well... I wish I could remember all the places I checked. Do a google search for Lazaro brial gowns and I am sure you will see other places that sell it. 40% off is really good though, I find it hard to beleive you would get it cheaper. I would totally buy it out from under her, but that is me. lol When I want something I go for it. -
I was the only Cuba bride till a girl I referred to this forum joined this week. So, I know how you feel. Its different because you US peeps can't go to my location, but there are a lot of CDN girls on here as well and none of them are getting married in Cuba. lol There might not be anyone one here to help us with specifics to our location, but you know what, when a PR bride or Cuba bride comes on here, think about how much info we will have to share and help them out. You never have to talk to yourself around here, there are lots of people on at all times willing to talk about anything, literally anything. lol

Usually I'll do 4.5 miles in 40 minutes on the elliptical. Now I've been doing 3.1 (5k) in 35 minutes. It gets a little frustrating, but it's all for the best!!! Okay good. Sorry to sound like your mother there, but I can't help it, I just want to make sure you and the baby are okay. I am so glad you talked to your doctor about it already. Good for you for working out still, that is what I hope to do. Pregnancy does enough crazy things to your body, so I want to keep it in the best shape possible, one less thing to worry about when the baby comes.

Just keep looking, you have quite a bit of time, there is no rush. The perfect dress is out there waiting for you to find it. -

I would talk to someone at the gym and tell them you are newly pregnant and ask if there is anything you should stay away from. I know you can't do abs right now (DUH), but I think there are some other things to stay away from as well. So you should find out.

Bride purse....
JulieG replied to MsShelley's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I found one I am in love with, but its $45 and I will probably never use it again, so I have not got one yet. I do want one though. I like Tammy's idea of an accent colour, then I might use it again. Huh, I will have to look for an inexpensive pink purse. -
Veil help needed!!!
JulieG replied to RaydensMama's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Laura, DON'T BUY A VEIL YET!!! Trust me on this one. I am in love with another one, so I know first hand that buying one too early is not good. You have lots of time. Also, I have a veil, might have 2 and my sister has one. We all have combs. So, wait untill my wedding is done at least and see if you like any of those first. Okay!!! Just wait Laura, go to a lot of places and look for them and decide without a doubt what kind you want. And then you never know, you might like mine or my sisters and then that would save you A LOT of money. So just wait okay? lol How is that for pressure. -

I went to boot camp tonight. It was so humid and hot outside that it made it even harder. It was pretty hard, but good. I am so glad I pre-paid for the whole 6 weeks, now I HAVE to go to all of them.

I just like the mantilla lace veils, I never thought it was possible to actually match it to my dress.

It has mantilla lace on it, and it just the right width of lace and the colour is perfect and it has some silver detailing. I don't know the brand, I never asked. Good point, I should have asked. FYI, I looked and could not find a veil like this that I loved anywhere. It just happend that the a/c was out at the bridal salon today. I went with my BM to pick up her dress. So, we had to go to the cooler change rooms and they are beside the veils and headpieces that I never even knew existed in this store. So, I saw it and fell in love.

I bought a nice veil for $31, but today, I fell in love with a veil that is $170. My mistake was asking FH if I could buy it. He of course said no, its a lot for a veil. I did not tell him I already had one and he still said no. Oh well, I will keep working on it, cause I loved it.

As soon as people started contacting me about buying the dress, I realized I couldn't bear the thought of someone else wearing "my dress" so I knew it was the right choice. I went in for a second fitting and now that it actually fits, I love it. You chose the dress for a reason. As long as you loved it when you first tried it on, you will love it the day you walk down the aisle. That is so funny and so cute. Its like the saying "when you love something set it free". lol You tried to sell it and knew it was the one because you could not bring yourself to do it. I love it. I just noticed you are getting married a few days after me. I can't wait to see your pics when I get back.

Thank you thank you Paula. I know I asked you in another thread to post this, and I did not think you could, so I am so happy to see it here. I am going to work on mine tonight. -
Favors and/or Placecards?
JulieG replied to nabilahaq's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I am doing place cards, this is my inspiration I am also doing OOT bags, no favours. -
You need to stop looking at dresses. With that said, its hard cause you look at all the awesome dresses that the girls on here post. I am in the exact same boat. I know I love my dress, but I see the other ones and I think man, I wish I tried that on. I always wonder if I got the right one. Lucky for me I only have 1 month and 2 weeks left, so I can't get another one even if I am tempted to, lol, but it is hard. I am there with you and have felt that many times. I know I will love my dress when its on, but right now, I just don't know.

How are you wearing your hair?
JulieG replied to jmhein's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I have a tiara (although its not one, its a headpiece band thing, I was not into the princess tiara thing, its just not me) and I have a veil and I am thinking about flowers as well. Who knows what I will actually do, I will decide on the day, but I am going to wear my veil for sure. -

That is such a thoughtful gift. I am probably going to do B-pics, but we are paying for everything ourselves, so we really shouldn't be getting anything else. I love this idea. I might just have to do it. I will not get the groom socks though cause he will never wear them. lol
